Our project included replacing our wood siding with James Hardie siding, replacing our brick with Eldorado stacked stone, replacing our wood deck with Trex, and installing a new front door. The transformation of our home is incredible, and the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are exceptional. Our first contact was with Ross, our salesperson, and he immediately set the tone for the entire experience. Ross was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and--most importantly--there was absolutely no pressure. We never felt like we were being "sold" something. Instead, we felt like we were working with someone who genuinely wanted to help us make the right decisions for our home. Then there was Travis, our Project Manager, who was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer our questions, kept us informed, and never once made us feel like we were a bother. No matter how many questions we had, Travis was patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful. What really impressed us, though, was the level of personal attention from the ownership. One of the owners, Ryan McGlinch, actually came out to our home himself to measure the door frame for our new front door. He then took the time to go through our entire project with me in detail. He knew exactly what we were having done, understood the details of the project, and made me feel as though I was his only customer. That level of personal involvement is remarkable and says a lot about the kind of company McGlinch and Sons Co. is. The finished product is beautiful, but just as important to us was the experience getting there. McGlinch and Sons Co. exceeded our expectations in every arena--from sales and communication to project management, craftsmanship, and ownership involvement. We absolutely love our new exterior and would recommend McGlinch and Sons Co. without hesitation. The journey and process to get to agreement, then completion, painful too often. And completion of details difficult. Thus a C+, B- rating. I wish that I had all good things to say and writing this critique was unnecessary. Some of several aggravations. The roof was completed in a day by many Mexican immigrants. Project included installing roof vents. The vent tubes were not attached at the fans -- Despite assurances from the supervisor that it was definitely done. NO THEY WERE NOT. Thus required request and debate with the company for follow-up. Their service man came and said he completed. NO THEY WERE NOT. A year later, condensation formed on the ceiling. Requiring repeat call, visit. We received assurances that the third time they were now properly connected. This is the most basic of very important work. I do not understand. Not difficult to do - for someone with reasonable skills and honest effort. The siding took 3 months. The workers tried to complete a lot of work on the final day. They left the porch filthy and muddy. Final Hardie plank trim that was not properly painted by Hardie. Not done by McGlinch. Requiring me to paint. They did not properly reinstall flood lights. The contract agreement required increasing soffit ventilation. Despite following up 5 times, to my verification, completion unverified. Disappointing. It can be a challenging world. Our hope was a fourth generation company would have made things far easier and that we were in good hands, we could have relied on them and they were looking out for us. Their own quality assurance. Is that too much to ask.

Not with Prestissimo. They were responsive, communicative, and had a great online system that helped me review an estimate, approve it, and pay. They were prompt, fast, and did good work. I will 100% be calling them again in the fall for another gutter cleaning.

I'm not sure I'd trust them to ever respond in a timely manner if there were issues with the work. The crew left our property in a state of disarray, I'm still finding nails and debris scattered around the garage area years later. I wasn't told how to prepare for the day of the roof installation and one of the owners blamed me for the mess that was left inside my garage. The crew dented and ripped the logo off the air conditioning unit after indiscriminately throwing materials off the roof and my concerns were dismissed as a minor inconvenience and were never addressed.

We kind of laughed, because we couldn't imagine anyone doing that, but it ended up that we weren't happy with our choice and when we asked them if we could replace it with another color, they were completely gracious about it. Their installers were really skilled and did a great job. We will definitely return to Carpet One when we new flooring for other parts of our house.

That was not accurate: the company had the wrong email address on file, and I did not receive any prior phone calls or messages. The owner seemed confused about the company's own records and communication history, yet spoke to me in an accusatory and disrespectful manner. A billing issue can happen, but it should be handled promptly, professionally, and with accurate information--not with hostility nearly a year later. While the carpet installation was well done, I would encourage prospective customers to consider a business with a more streamlined and reliable billing and communication system, so they do not find themselves in a similarly unfortunate situation.
