We ordered the original tart flavor with mochi, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. It was delicious and very flavorful in taste. Even though it was cold, we still thought this was the perfect dessert choice we went for. We are so happy to have found another local frozen yogurt store instead of the chain ones. The people running the shop were very nice and greeted us happily once we entered. Seems like more of a grab and go place instead of a sit down venue. I would recommend this place to anyone! I'm going to start off by saying this review is on the acai bowl and a little biased because I'm from Hawai'i. Anyway, I came into Go Cups on a Monday around 4pm. There is seating for 4 people in the store but it's more of a grab and go place. The guy who took my order was kind of unfriendly but the guy who made the acai bowl was cool. Against my better judgment, I ordered the Aloha Lei acai bowl ($10.50) - granola, banana, pineapple, coconut. First off, the bowl is TINY. I was shocked when I saw it for the price but thought that the taste was probably worth it. Well, you know what happens when you assume? Let's talk acai. Again, back home, acai is sweet. This acai was so bitter and did not taste fresh. I actually read someone else's review who said they mix strawberries into the acai? That would explain the bitter taste. In addition, the pineapple tasted canned, not fresh. I had no complaints about the banana. I cannot put into words how ripped off I felt and how I regretted spending the $10.50 on such a disappointing experience. The other reviews do recommend their smoothies, which are more reasonably priced. Two stars because the bowl was nicely made. However, if you've had prior good experiences with acai, I would steer clear of the acai bowls here because they do not taste good and are ridiculously overpriced for the size and quality. read more

It's a mix of banana, blueberry, pineapple, acai blended in pineapple juice - definitely the favorite one for my kiddos! The second one we got was the almond joy which was: banana, almond butter, chocolate powder blended in almond milk. My kids were not fond of this one on one of the visits, however, they did finish it at my request. I think it lacked the chocolate flavor, otherwise it may have been a blast because who doesn't love chocolate flavor anything amiright? They also serve food but we didn't get a chance to try anything yet as it's too hot in NYC to have much of an appetite for anything other than cold hydration. Taking a walk around a few blocks north of where I live I happend upon this terrific new froyo spot that recently opened up here in Yorkville. I give them credit for taking a chance in this space that has been empty for quite a while considering the 2nd Ave subway construction mess is still going on around it. Hope they can survive it. It's really a nice new spot for froyo and healthy eats. More than pleasant and helpful staff. Bright and clean facility. A small assortment of delicious froyo flavors they'll let you sample. Topping to choose from. Fairly priced. Also have a make your own salad bar with an assortment of ingredients to put in. They will chop it for you too. I also noticed a small fridge with cold drinks and juices, and they make waffles too! Forget 16 Handles, as this place is so much closer to my apartment now, and way less crowded. Prices are standard NY prices so I am not sure why people are complaining about them. The employees are always nice and do a good job of preparing your order. I've never had an order come out wrong here. Stupid reviews criticizing prices, speed of employees, etc just try to make a small, family owned business look bad. I see the owners in there all the time and they work just as hard as their employees. I would rather wait an additional 5 minutes for my order to be correct instead of the employee feeling stressed and rushing my order. If you want speedy yet inaccurate service, go to Starbucks down the street where your order may be ready in 2 minutes but will most likely be wrong 99% of the time. I'm always down to buy a smoothie from a small local business, especially when vegan options are offered, so I popped into this place while waiting for the crosstown and purchased a Mango smoothie. Turned out they didn't have a ton of non-dairy smoothies but they did offer to substitute plain yogurt for hemp yogurt, which was a nice touch. The price points are very affordable at about $6.50 for a regular sized smoothie (most smoothie shops charge up to $8), and they have a lot of yummy looking to-go treats, though none that I saw were dairy free. Great, small family owned business. I'm glad even during the COVID crisis, there is always another customer who knows about this small gem. I've been here for their smoothies and frozen yogurt, both are delicious. Smoothies are thick and taste much more fresh, better than many chains like Jamba Juice, Juice it Up, Robeks, Smoothie King etc. The frozen yogurt is also not too sweet (plain tart) which I personally love. All the usual toppings like berries, cereals, and some bite sized candies as well. What makes this place the best though is the service. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and sweet. After coming only a couple times they've gotten to recognize my half covered masked face and my order. I ordered the Green Warrior Açaí Bowl for $10.75 at night. I believe $10.75 is a bit much for the size and quantity it came with, even though the ingredients were so clean. It was very delicious and happily satisfied my ice-cream craving, though. The groups the fruits were categorized in on the menu were thought out well, and all the flavors blended well together when tasted. These açaí bowls (and açaí bowls in general) are a solid option if you are lactose intolerant like I am. Most of their smoothies/juices/açaí bowls are dairy-free or offer a replacement to the milk or yogurt. You can also ask if you're not sure, or just want to clarify the ingredients. However, I would come to this establishment again if I get the chance to. Next time I come, perhaps I will try some of the smoothies or the juices which are a bit cheaper, and add my own fruits/seeds to get the whole açaí effect. read more

When I told them I just need 8 ounces, they said they had to give me 12 ounces cause that's the standard size so they had to charge me that amount. I had no choice. I got the peanut butter one and it was suppose to be made with acai almond milk and peanut butter and it has giant, unblended frozen strawberries in it. The most racist experience I have ever had. I inquired about the pricing because on the menu it stated something else. I was charged an additional 1.25 to add spinach which was unusual. They're speedy and I can order my bowl through yelp no problem!
