I was surprised when Cesar showed up by himself that day without any helpers, as this job typically requires two people and usually takes 1-2 hours. Even more surprising was that he tried to choose which tasks he wanted to complete and skipped many essential ones. For example, he neglected to clean the shower pan until I pointed it out, cleaned the bedroom, but didn't do any dusting, and didn't remove the small floor mats while cleaning the floors. He insisted he would only clean the laminated floor and not the tile floor until I showed him the contract, which stated that all floors were included. There were many other issues with his cleaning, leading to a long list of concerns. Eventually, he admitted that he only supervises workers now and hasn't done any cleaning himself for several years. His workers were busy in Palo Alto and Cupertino, which made me feel like my house in the East Bay was not good enough for him. It felt as if he thought he could just come over, do a lackluster job, and waste my time under the guise of 'supervision.'
