My twenty-something self probably would have given it a 5. I was invited to a ladies only birthday party pub crawl last weekend. The birthday girl recruited enough ladies to afford a Bust Loose party bus from Airdrie to Calgary and back, two Calgary club stops and a male Party Patrol Host to stoke the fire and handle club entry and exit. We had to sign waivers, wear wristbands and were handed a Bust Loose necklace, which I pocketed for the evening. The wristband (which I wore on my ankle instead) was about all I could tolerate without feeling like a tagged and branded cow. The Host was a young guy who clearly enjoyed the attention, initiating party games on the bus and watching a few women get a little crazy. A variety of old and new party tunes are pumped through the speakers. Three poles in the aisle and handles above the windows are the obvious invitations for dancing and flailing about as the bus propels you into the evening's shenanigans. I don't know if you can choose your music but some of what was played was too cheesy for me to enjoy. I was sober so the bus ride was fun for the first 20min, and then I was over it. In that time I tried a bit of dancing around and singing to the music along with the others who were very excited to be there but really, it was 10pm on a Friday and I was ready for my pajamas. The Host could have been a little more organized and in control, but I'm pretty sure that youth could not offer the skills he needed to handle so many women in a semi-professional fashion. Being knowledgeable, confident in what he was doing and firm with timelines would have made a big difference, though. Bust Loose does the job in terms of adding some spice to your evening as well travel convenience, but considering I have mostly grown out of my spirited party persona, it's just not for me unless I can control the conditions. I'd want to choose my own music, rent the bus from 7-9:30pm on a Saturday and have it cart me and a handful of my closest friends from our houses to a downtown pub and back. Although Tony had a little trouble with the gears pulling out, the rest of the ride was smooth. The buses are weird in a way; they have these long rows across the bus from the front to the back on both sides that jet in and out. They even have twisted stripper poles should your party bus break into a real party. The music is pumping and everyone seems to enjoy it. I just wish they sold booze on these things and let you smoke. Then it would be a party. But it was still a good way to get from point A to point B. I think these things are mostly for pub crawls, but they say you can rent them out for anything. Might be a great way to liven up a funeral sometime.... The only negative, besides some bad music, was the general ambiance and cleanliness of the bus, which reminds one of a strip club. But what the hell? Anyway, I grabbed a business card on my way off the bus. Underneath the Bust Loose logo, it simply stated: Tony Cools|Party Bus Driver. That is by far the coolest business card I've ever seen. Review of Diversified Transportation - Prince George, BC Division Working for the Diversified Transportation Prince George division has been one of the worst experiences of my career. The management team offers zero support and shows blatant disregard for driver safety. They create an environment where refusing unsafe work is met with subtle threats and pressure, effectively pushing drivers to comply with dangerous conditions or feel they have no choice but to leave. Management seems either unaware of or indifferent to hours-of-service laws, routinely pushing drivers to exceed legal boundaries. The two individuals they are bringing in to replace current drivers have reputations for irresponsibility and a lack of professionalism--hardly inspiring confidence in their leadership decisions. Safety standards are appalling. We are forced to drive buses with bald tires, unreliable transmissions, and gears that slip. These conditions are dangerous enough, but in winter, on icy hills, the risk to passengers is unacceptable. One long-standing employee was entirely removed from the schedule simply because she couldn't chain up tires four times a night in freezing conditions, despite a perfectly functional shuttle option that was removed solely to appease the company contracting Diversified. To make matters worse, Jessica, a manager, has turned the workplace into her personal domain. She hires friends, all of whom seem more focused on power games and wasting money on hotels and drinks than addressing glaring safety issues or supporting the drivers. This lack of professionalism and neglect for basic safety has left good drivers jobless or forced out for not being willing to endanger themselves or passengers. The entire management approach here is reckless, selfish, and utterly indifferent to the well-being of the team and passengers alike.

I am a bit disappointed that there is no way of communicating with the driver - so basically something that could be found needs to get through numerous passengers and stops before it can be possibly recovered. I think this is weird. What if there were other more important or urgent things to communicate to a driver? I'm disappointed. Plus none of the power outlets or wifi worked that they boldly claimed were available for the trip. The driver also seemed confused and there were zero announcements made regarding breaks, stops etc.

This is more than a short downtown tour. We even got to go to the Olympics area west of town and have fabulous views of the Rocky Mountains. We learned about the history of Calgary and even visited the Heritage Park area. Enough time to grab coffee and Saskatoon berry ice cream. It was Stampede and we stopped at an overlook where we could see the whole grounds.

Everything seemed fine until I opened my door and outside was some party van that looked like an Amazon truck. NO LIMO!!!! When I asked what the hell was going on I was informed that the limo was broken. So instead of sending me another stretch limo or a Hummer limo or truck limo they sent me a van!! I called the woman (apparently the daughter of the owner) and got told to basically pound sand. Sorry never even left her lips. I got attitude and was told it's my fault because I never checked my messages from a few hours ago when she was giving me the heads up!!! Say what!!?? Even if I had checked how the heck could I get another limo in only a couple hours. I also work nights and had very little time to do anything besides get ready before they arrived. But that's not her problem she said. And when I checked my missed calls there was none from this company. Only ProCom Cleaning Services. Well I didn't order cleaning services so even had they called and I seen it I wouldn't of answered a number I don't know. Maybe if this company was more legit they'd have their business attached to their number. I was told I would get no money back and was told I was lucky to get that or I could have gotten nothing and could drive myself!! I have never been more furious at the disgusting customer service. I basically had my money stolen to ride some lame van to my party with my friends. I was told by the driver the owner was in Florida and would contact me and most likely do something for me but that never happened either. For the record this company is the most expensive of all the companies I called! They just had a promo on so I went with them. So please dear lord do yourself a favor and go with another company. And here's just a stating list to help: A-1, AM/PM, Paramount, Ambassador, Quest, Thrive....any of these would be better!!!!! Don't make the same mistake I did!!!!!!!
