After taking in a number of the sights of Victoria my children indicated that there were craving…read moresomething more exiting. I realized that our planned visit to Butchart Gardens later that evening, would not quite fit the bill for them. So, I did an internet search and came up with this place. We jumped into our van, set our course on the GPS and in no time found ourselves getting strapped into our gear. There is a mini training session where we are taught how to use the "life line". That is the safety system that ensures you don't tumble out of the tree's. I learned that it is essential to always make certain that at least one of the two life lines is connected to the main life line at all times. Children age 11 and under are automatically given a more secure magnetic lifeline system which won't allow them to disconnect one line until the other is fastened. I had never done anything like this before and found myself feeling quite nervous (well scared actually) as I began the course. You will find yourself high up among the trees navigating tight ropes, moving planks, vertical ladders, ziplines and so on. I was able to relax a little once I began to trust the life line system. However, I will say that despite the training, I did notice to my horror that at one point in the course I failed to properly connect my lifeline! I am sure that some of you reading this must be cringing at the thought of the danger I was in for those few moments. Well I survived and continued to enjoy this challenging experience which turned into quite a workout to boot. For me, there were no more accidents in using the lifeline. We all agreed that this was great fun and were happy we did this. However I do have some safety concerns. At the beginning of the course, the trainer reassured me that nobody has ever fallen/been seriously injured. Still, in hindsight I would have had all of my children use the more secure magnetic lifeline system. Why not given my experience of improperly fastening my own life line. The business is certainly not taking any chances. No doubt they are well protected by that waiver they have you sign before your child even sets foot on the course. Price... Classic-$34.99 Extreme-(on extra course)-$10 add on WTF Jump-$14.99 add on I believe that there was also a less expensive/milder version of this experience for younger children.

Fright Nights x Fizz Mobile is truly a place like no other. I have to say that my experience here…read morehas set the bar for every other place I will go to in the future. I feel like everything was about as top tier as you could ask for. I couldn't tell what was real or not because the props were so realistic and actors were really into their roles. You can tell they truly put a lot of time and effort into everything you see here. They thought of everything! From having the actors walking around the lines scaring people and keeping everyone entertained while having the place amazingly detailed as well. I found myself screaming, and jumping left right and centre. Came for a good scare and a good scare is what I got! I can't say enough about the set designs, costume details and special effects. Start to finish you can tell they worked hard on every detail. The haunted houses were amazing, every detail was so realistic, creepy, and beautifully done. The actors did an astounding job and truly went above and beyond to bring the scares to life. You can tell the entire team puts their heart into the experience. The sounds, lighting, and atmosphere made it feel like stepping into a real horror movie. From the moment you walk in the haunted houses, the atmosphere grabs you and doesn't let go. The level of detail in every room is unreal. The sets, the props, the lighting... everything is crafted so well that you forget you're in a haunted attraction and feel like you've been transported straight into a horror world. The scare actors were phenomenal, full of energy, totally in character, and clearly loving what they do. They were incredibly determined to give us the scare of a lifetime! From start to finish, they were fully committed, delivering chilling scares and creating a fun, tense atmosphere that kept us on edge. The actors are always on top of their game. You could fully appreciate the insane amount of time, creativity, and detail poured into every corner of this place. If Fright Nights x Fizz Mobile isn't already on your must-visit list -- it should be! Trust me, you'll want to say you survived it. I can guarantee you that you will find no better place than here if you want to get scared right. This is a place where everyone will find something for themselves. So much to see and do for all ages and levels of thrill. The operations are also faultless! The only complaint: I had to leave!

Deserving of an updated 4 star review for still bringing amusement park fun plus mini golf, haunted…read morehouse, midway games, climbing wall and concert entertainment to the city in 2025. I had a blast on their thrill rides such as the OG wooden roller coaster which was built way before we were born in 1958...yup, its age does add an extra rocky and spooky element when you are on this ride. Their mini golf course was cute and with enough challenging designs for family fun. Hole in one at hole 16 and 17 was a thoughtful and encouraging design too. Paid parking available and free street parking is possible if you park further away. Staff is overall quite friendly. Vendor foods' costs are of course usually higher at an amusement park but hot dogs, burgers, pizza, donuts and cotton candy are the standard food options at an amusement park. Tips: Recommend to visit on a less sunny or even cloudy day to avoid the heat while in lineup. Do bring a hat or sunscreen on sunny days and stay hydrated. Look for online promotion when buying admission tickets for better value and please don't compare Playland to Disneyland. I chose to visit Playland when PNE is not open for less crowds and spent about half a day there. Put your hands up on the rides and scream for a good time :)

When we arrived, we noticed that the signs indicated that if we ordered the tickets online, it would be a bit of a discount. And so we did I think it ended up being like maybe a two dollar difference than what the sign posted for one adult admission ticket. The website was a little wonky for buying the ticket online. We got through it, eventually. There is a gift shop at the entrance of the attraction that you can check out before starting the ride . It looks like part of it is catered towards children, which was very cute. There are many other restaurants and a couple gift shops within walking distance at the center while you're waiting for your show. It seemed like a well organized environment. They will ask you for the number in your party and will try to fit you into one of their rides. When you first walk in, they give you a little presentation of an animated show which is primarily in a standing room. There are a couple benches, but those who come in first will usually have access to that. It was not that interesting to me. I noticed that there were some Halloween decorations throughout, which looked very cute and festive. Unfortunately, it was dark inside and we were not really able to enjoy the decorations Afterwards, you will be seated on your flyover event. There was a moment when my stomach did drop a little bit due to the sensation of being up high. If you are afraid of heights, you will get through this and you will be OK. I did it! It's also pretty cool to feel water droplets on your face as you're soaring over bodies of water of Canada. The one thing that was lacking was there was no narration or story or audio narration of what we were seeing. That would've been helpful. I'm glad we got to experience this.

Everyone in the party gets the local discounts, too! It's been a while for me to do the Fly Over, and I must say it doesn't disappoint. Our family from out of town was so tired from walking around the city, and when we did the ride, they were WIDE awake. They truly enjoyed it and thought it was very well done. As for me, someone who has done it a few times before, I was still amazed by the quality of the ride. Definitely a MUST!
