First time shopping at Go Auto. Found three trucks to look at so we wrote down the numbers and wandered in to find a great salesman to help us. We decided on one truck and had taken it out for a test drive. Loved it. Since it took a while to get all the papers and financing done we had been there for quite a time and getting hungry. Our salesman David Wurtz went out to Tims and bought us a lunch while we waited. Greatly appreciated. Staff was very good to us. David helped with all the questions we asked even thought we couldn't find the jack for the truck. Good experience. Highly recommended. read more

I was interested in purchasing a truck, made it very clear i wanted no additional warranty as it came with manufacturer warranty. I was told i had to put a $2000 deposit down before signing contracts and seeing financing. While in the back being pressured to sign the contracts i noticed they had tacked on an additional $13000 in warranty fees that i did not approve of. I told them i was no longer interested in doing business with people that had no integrity and were slimey. Go auto no refuses to reimburse me my $2000 deposit. read more

Or Hunter trustworthy and can easily tell you a lie without hesitation!! if Go auto receives a good review, probably friends or family wrote the review. I have lots to add, but it would take forever... Just remember they DO NOT CARE!! they just want their commission and don't care if they rip you off or lie.... I went to Go Auto Yellowhead to buy a used dodge van for work. I knew exactly what I wanted, and found the van with a nice salesman. Test drove and purchased the vehicle and an extended warranty, and drove away happy. Three and a half days later (a Saturday), the engine light goes on and I take it to a dodge dealership, as the salesman suggested. This was the day before a small road trip, and it really messed me up. The dealership couldn't address the problem right away, and I ended up renting a vehicle for the trip. ugh The repairs to my van included a new thermostat and other issues with heating/cooling with the engine (of which I don't understand). The amazing extended warranty I bought was useless. I contacted the company (while on my trip) and was quickly turned down for coverage. I then turned to the dealership to reimburse the costs of the repairs and the last minute rental. At first I couldn't get ANYONE to simply return an email. I had to track down the email of an executive of Go Auto to beg to be listened to. I got a call from the general manager Jon from Go Auto Yellowhead. Long story short, I am forced to sue the business to recover the costs of the repairs and rental. Oh my gosh, what a runaround. It took months of being ignored to finally get the answer 'nope.' I would expect to be able to drive a new (to me) vehicle for more than 3.5 days before a major issue. I bought from a dealership (instead of buying privately) to avoid having these issues and large expenses right off the bat. I am so disappointed with these guys. Also, I don't really think these guys actually inspect the vehicles as they say they do. They presented me with a 'vehicle inspection report,' which had a bunch of check marks on it. But I was assured by the dealership who fixed my van that this problem should have been caught with an actual inspection. Another strange thing, my bill of sale was back dated to the previous month. I don't know if the salesman did this in order to get his commission early, but it could have messed up my warranty. Very strange. One more thing, they wanted me to pay to have the VIN etched on all the body parts of the vehicle. I refused. I had to argue quite a bit to not pay for that because I didn't think it was needed. Well, turns out that the VIN etching was already done (this was a used vehicle). They just wanted more money. I honestly think that these people only care about the mighty dollar. Once they had my money, they couldn't have cared less about me. Nice salesman though. One star for that. read more

One out of five stars because the only good thing that came out of this was the truck I bought. What was not great was rejecting my cheque for a $20000 down payment in favor of a $3000 E-Transfer. What kind of a used car dealership does that, you ask? One that makes an enormous commission off the more money a bank lends out! This concept is; aggressive, adversarial, and dangerous. The financial services manager; Tarun Pandviya claimed the upper management did not want to go through the security procedures for a cheque and changed what was initially a good deal: $121 bi-weekly @ 6.49% for 60 months to the arrangement I have now: $252 bi-weekly @ 7.99% for 78 months. I had no choice but to agree to this as I was moving to a remote area and there was no time to find another vehicle. Anything you can do to avoid GoAuto will keep your wallet a whole lot safer. My good friend got royally messed up the other day while looking for a car. The car she saw was affordable but trouble came with the finance department. They should get a medal for fast talking smoke and mirrors. "Sign here, it is all legally required" Nope. For e.g. she paid huge for a second key which should have come with the car and for a warranty that is going to be useless. Bottom line, if you want to get a car and still have a shirt on your back, then stay away from GoAuto, Yellowhead. Otherwise you'll maybe still have a boot you can use to kick yourself with. The sale experience itself was great! BUT!!! Now less than 90days after, there is a horrendous squeal coming from the rear end.... Very probable brake related! Now, those who know me, know my work background.... So when you try and tell me that brakes fail (after they have "passed" your quality inspection") in less than 2000k since purchase, you know exactly what I'm going to tell you! When you try and tell me that it's a rock or pacify me some other way.... You still know the response you're going to get. I checked the rotor; there's no scoring from a "rock", that horrendous squeal is NOT from outside moisture when it's continuous with it being dry outside..... QUIT TREATING ME LIKE AN IDIOT! SO.... when you tell me I have to pay YOU, GO AUTO YELLOWHEAD Trail, $160+TX TO HAVE IT INSPECTED, you know exactly what I'm going to say! When you tell me that IF I have it looked at by any one of the fully licensed mechanics I call friend (at no charge I might add) and WHEN I do, you now are no longer RESPONSIBLE...... My son bought a truck from GO Auto Leduc, it was the only one they said he would qualify for (a low KM used Dodge) which he was also given late, due to an issues that needed to be fixed with the engine. He had the truck less than 3 months and the engine blew while he was working up North. He had to find someone to flatbed it home even tho he had roadside assistance and extended warranty. They wouldn't cover anything under warranty and he had to pay 20,000 for a new engine, which took him 6 months to collect via borrowing. He's 23, was using this vehicle to build his credit and obviously couldn't use the truck for his work. Everyone he has dealt with in this dealership has been useless. I'm trying to get the original invoice of the engine repairs that happened, before he was given the truck and I'm getting the run around. Now the loan company is after him for payments, he JUST got it back and the engine HAD to pay for with CASH, since he was not able to get any further loans. He's tried making payment arrangements with them for the 15 but they are still hounding him and those on the application. If he didn't buy a new engine, he was stuck paying for a truck that he couldn't use and the loan is over 100,000, for a 30,000 truck that needed a 20,000 engine less than 3 months after buying it. We are going so be filing claims with AMVIC. I would use extreme caution buying anything from this company, especially if you're just starting out or trying to build your credit. What has been done is completely unethical IMO and consumers need to take caution when dealing with them. read more

We had no issues with the salesman who sold us the car, he did a fine job. Its the tricky unethical Finance Manager who, without asking us if we wanted an extended warranty which is optional ( and I know we wouldn't need it within the 4 year time frame or 40,000K as it was fairly low mileage and in excellent condition as per inspection) had blended it into the monthly payments hoping we wouldn't catch it. An ethical moral finance manager would've been upfront and transparent disclosing the fact that the extended warranty was an option that would change the final purchase price... " now, would you like to add it in or not? " is what he should've asked and not Sneak it in like he did. His ploy was also to take a long time ( about 30 -35 minutes) to get all the paper work in order until we were tired and it was closing time to rush us into signing. The only people I would recommend to this dealership would be people I don't like. Prices are fair, but the sales team I worked with was not upfront about numbers and although they advertise no extra fees, there are $1400 of added costs they try to tack onto the sale afterwards. When I had a friend who works in car sales try to help me negotiate a better deal, they were defensive and uncooperative. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a breakdown of costs with them. If you are dealing with this place, make sure you are doing the math yourself, do not trust they are showing you the payments that reflect the cost of the vehicle. read more

Terrible experience. I've never gone to a used car dealer before, always bought privately, and I'll go back to buying privately next time as I've never had problems with individuals. The initial visit: - The only thing the sales person asked me was what colors I didn't like. The only female staff I saw were the receptionists (including all subsequent visits). - Staff wander around aimlessly in casual clothes, drinking slurpees, sitting at the sales desks when they aren't in use. My drivers license photocopy was left visible on the sales desk while we went for the test drive and two of these staff were sitting there when we got back. - The sales person left me about 6 times to go get different forms for me to sign, though I hadn't agreed to buy the car yet and pointed this out, he said it didn't mean anything. - HIs manager said I couldn't have an outside inspection. After talking to my mechanic on the phone I said I was going to walk on that. The manager agreed to the outside inspection. - The sales person 'couldn't' tell me what the 'fees' were, what they were for or how much. After signing all those papers he said he'd get me into see 'finance' he just needed a $500 deposit. I almost walked out again, they waived the deposit. - Agreed to their price minus $400 (the fees were $700, wish I'd thought to point out their folder says 'no extra fees') conditional on inspection. The inspection: - Bunch of cosmetic stuff that's not too unusual for an older car - Had been broken into before - rust and dents around the doors and trunk because of being pried open - Two tires were all seasons, two winter (?!?!? I'd been told it had new all seasons) - Broken windshield wiper blade - And the big one, the front struts were leaking badly. The renegotiation: - This time I'm talking to the manager (creepy guy). His take on the inspection "the car is mechanically sound". I point out that I'm driving a broken car that's mechanically sound, if I wanted a broken car I'd keep mine. Didn't think to pull out their in house inspection which said the struts were fine. - He agrees to fix the wiper blade and the struts no cost but won't budge on tires. I agree, should have fought harder. - Have to bring car in for appointment with service another day. Service: - Service is open the exact hours I'm asleep (8:30am-4:30pm, I work nights) so I have to stay up to make the appointment. - I take it in meaning I'm up till about 10am. They give me a loaner. They won't leave the keys with sales who are open later so my mom has to pick it up for me before they close. - At home that night we are moving around the cars and notice my headlight is out. - I send a polite email to the company head office (because service has no email) asking what happened. - Service calls me asking me to call, but I'm asleep. I stay up the next day to call. - She talked to her service guys and it's possible they bumped something, bring it in. I say I'll take it to my mechanic and get them to hook it back up, faster and easier. - I go to my mechanic thinking I'll be there 5 minutes. 25 minutes later he comes out with my headlight bulb which is a blackened mess. The bulb was half out of the socket and melted the housing. The mechanic made no definitive claims but said: 1. Bulbs lock into place and don't accidentally fall out 2. The bulb creates intense heat so it would have been dead and melted the housing very fast after it came out of the socket 3. The struts they were repairing are no where near the headlight - My mechanics put in a temp bulb. - I call Go Auto, I get transferred to the service manager who is totally calm and says probably one of his guys messed up somehow, bring it in and they'll fix it. - So once again I'm up to take it in for service and once again my mother has to go pick it up. I receive no compensation for this, I never got an explanation of how this could have happened, and no one even said they were sorry. The next week: - I take it to my mechanic to get new tires. - When I come to get it they tell me they had to replace the battery because it wasn't holding a charge. They paid for it because they should have caught that on inspection and didn't, this is one more thing that was wrong when I bought it. Follow up: - This was in October. I consider it to be in bad faith that Go Auto signed a pre-purchase inspection saying all was well, specifically checking the boxes for the struts and battery saying they were good. I put in a complaint to AMVIC not knowing what they'd do or say about it. - AMVIC just got back to me. According to them because I caught the issues and any issues I complained about were fixed by the dealer they can't do anything. So it's completely alright for Go Auto to lie about the condition of a car as long as they get caught in the act. Heavily edited due to character restriction. read more

Leduc location lied multiple times about vehicles available and their advertisements online to fish us in and try to sell us something completely different; in person, over the phone and over email. If I could give the Leduc location a ZERO and the Yellowhead a five, I would. Sales, Financing and Reception were amazing at the Yellowhead location. Tony helped us with everything. RUN FOR THE HILLS ! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. THERE ARE BETTER DEALERSHIPS TO DEAL WITH THEN GO AUTO OUTLET YELLOWHEAD ! Save yourself a headache and don't bother buying any vehicles from this place. Once the deal is signed, they don't give a flying *** about you. We recently bought a truck from here after the deal was done we went to show the truck to some family and friends and right away they pointed out that the back side panel was replaced or fixed up. We are not body mechanics so obviously we didn't know this and they failed to point this out to us before we signed the paperwork. I was also curious and decided to pull the Carfax and on the Carfax I pulled they also replace/repaired the exhaust on the same side as the panel that was replaced / repaired. This information was not disclosed prior to purchasing the truck and was not on the Carfax that we signed off on so we had no idea until after the paperwork was already side and gone to the bank. We took the truck back to ask some question at first, they acted like they didn't know and then admitted it had some dents and scratches so it needed to be fixed. Mike (sales manager) and Becker (general manager) told me that they do not have to disclose this information to us, but they'll fix the problem they admitted it should've been fixed before they sold the truck, but again had no remorse towards me as a customer just laughed in my face , rolled their eyes and told me there's nothing more there gonna do more for us. They had our truck for over a week, we picked it up today and they did absolutely nothing. They slapped a sticker on the side which has bubbles and lines through it and wanted us to sign off on the paperwork. It's been a huge disappointment dealing with them and now the truck has to go back yet again. They have not gone above or even beyond, their customer service is a joke. Huge red flag when the general manager doesn't even have the respect to come down from the raised desk area where all the managers sit and talk to me at eye level.
