I had an appointment at Ericksen Nissan southside Edmonton to get my car serviced. I started with a positive mindset that my car was going to get excellent service until I met Service Advisor, Courtenay. She was very young, stoic and unfriendly from the get go. I tried to keep an upbeat rapport with her as I'm a yoga teacher and keep a philosophy of gentleness and kindness toward others. She assured me while reviewing the bill of service that it would be a 2 hour job and that she'd call when it was finished. I agreed and went off to run errands while the car was being serviced. 2.5 hours passed and I returned to see if the car was finished. I was told my car had not even been started. I was very surprised. I explained that Courtenay told me it would be 2 hours or she'd call me. *I don't want to be blind sided with more labour charges. I left again. Minutes later Courtenay called me. She was heightened, defensive and speaking quickly. Telling me that it could be all day before they even look at my car. I told her I was very disappointed and that it was not how she communicated to me about the procedure. She got very heated toward with her way of speech again. I told her I didn't want to argue with her and that I just wish her communication would have been better. She got angry and yelled at me, and I quote, "you don't need to get all hostile with me!! I'll call you when your car is done!! " and abruptly hung up on me. I was shocked and upset with her lack of customer service, deficiency of my concern, absence of care and her blatant temper. It's outrageous how customer service has become completely drained. I would expect a large dealership like Ericksen Nissan would take greater pride in customer service excellence to maintain such a strong reputation. Perhaps it's sliding in a world of nepotism or a world of disregard, lack of pride and now this kind of depleted customer service behaviour is allowable? I'm not sure what the cause is... I do know it's embarrassing for Ericksen Nissan. I will never ever suggest any of my friends go to this dealership. read more

I do not recommend this company at all. My overall experience was terrible. I bought a 2017 RAV4 on Oct 1st 2022. I went to look at this car out of the many found online because it was shown to have a tow hitch in the photos. My initial experience with a junior salesman was good but after the test drive I noticed the hitch had been removed. I still liked the car and we started talking price and at this point I was told that while the car was advertised with a hitch ,included in the price, they had no idea how or where it had been removed to and if I really wanted it I could add $10 or so to my payments and they would fit a new one. That's about $1800 for something I could get done for $500. I declined but went ahead with the sale. In the finance office I sat with my partner and we were told that we qualified for the complementary services. Key insurance and glass etching. We both heard the words complementary very clearly and so agreed to these offers and signed the paperwork. Once home I re-read my agreement to find complementary meant $600 for each offer, a total of $1200 added to my bill without consent. I immediately returned to Nissan where the sales manager immediately passed me back to the finance guy. I got the key fob insurance removed but was told the etching cost was for transfer of ownership paperwork and as such I had to pay it. Two weeks into ownership the check engine light came on. This shuts down the AWD to front wheel as well as the cruise control and other things. I returned to the service department who immediately asked if I had purchased any warranty. I said no, I only have the month promised with a new car. They checked the codes, found a "Purge Valve Fault" cleared it saying it will likely not repeat and sent me on my way. Two weeks later it was back. A fault that appears every two weeks and first appeared two weeks into ownership... I returned and at this point whilst it was agreed on to do a no charge repair they couldn't fit me in for weeks. When asked they assured me the car was safe to drive around Edmonton in winter and on a trip to Calgary I had planned. My temper rose and they got the car in the following Monday. Around three weeks later I received a call from the company head office asking about my experience. This was, supposedly the owner of the groups secretary and she was very disappointed to learn of my negative experience and promise to look into things. It is now 2023 and I have heard nothing more. I realize some of these issues are on me for not checking the small print of the documents but I was caught up in the sale, something I'm sure they rely on. My opinion is that Nissan Ericsson in Edmonton is that they are some of the worst salesmen I have ever dealt with. A company that removed error codes from my car before the sale. A company that will add charges under the guise of complementary. A company that will try to argue out of anything not written down. A company that will not remember your issues Do not recommend, spend your money elsewhere. read more

After so many years of being annoyed at go South Nissan -I actually tried taking my vehicle to Ericksen Nissan. The service level that I got from Kathryn Roseberry And the rest of the team there was phenomenal. Caring and knowledgable and respectful and did everything super super fast and it was such a nice experience compared to all of the previous ones that I've had at Go south. They sold me a used 2016 murano that could not be registered because it was from Saskatchewan and did not have an out of province inspection done! I took it back to the dealership and they have had it for 5 days and still no inspection. Now they are saying another 2 days before it's done. read more

DO NOT take your vehicle in for servicing!!! I was offered a "free" oil change and inspection for my 2016 Murano (65k km). The inspection report recommended over $10k in repairs. Urgent work included new brakes ($1,300) and resealing the transfer case ($2,400). I agreed on the brakes but decided to get a second opinion on the remaining work. I bought a Kicks in November 2018. I bought a few accessories from this dealer. It is July 2019 with not a word from the dealer. I have called them several times (over 15 times) and went in person to Edmonton. Every time I am told, they will get back to me and they don't. The new GM himself, has 0 accountability. It is unacceptable to get this kind of service where the dealer has not refunded my money, has not given me the bought product and is leaving me hanging. Please DO NOT buy from here. Their service department is consistently incompetent: don't check for maintenance plans prior to services, they blamed damage to the wheel lock key on "someone else" when they were the only ones who had used it, and routinely "lost" the loaner requests because I worked outside their pickup/dropoff range. Now they've decided to cancel the lifetime oil change agreements made under "previous owners" - and didn't tell me it wasn't covered anymore until after completing the work. Shockingly poor service from a "service" department. And this is on top of the lack of attention to detail when originally buying the vehicle. Bought a car through these guys and received the worst service. It was a used vehicle from the US. They promised me that they would be able to change over the speedometer to show KMS instead of MPS. When I went to go pick it up after paying and doing the financing, they pretty much said "nope, sorry. It's too expensive we can't do it". Thanks for nothing! read more

This dealership is an absolute disaster. We moved to Edmonton from the USA. We chose to finance a car at this dealership, because we have been loyal Nissan customers in the US, and also the dealership had 4+ stars in reviews. Sales team made efforts to get us the lowest interest on the new car (7%) as they said, which was explained by the absence of a credit history in Canada. I appreciate that but I know there are car loan programs in Canada for newcomers that help defray interest costs. Having 0% interest in the USA when we first bought our car with 0 credit history there, 7% in Canada was a bit of a shock. Giving 10,000 Canadian dollars for downpayment - roughly third of the car's cost - should have helped getting a better interest rate, but it didn't. Now, after almost a year of paying the loan with diligence, we want to refinance the current loan with Nissan bank. We thought that should have been easy as 1-2-3, given our boost in credit score up to 800, but it's not working. The sales manager explained that in order to refinance, we would need to pay the remainder of the loan and then sell it back to Nissan to apply for a new loan with a lower interest rate. Sounds ridiculous, right? If we had money to pay the loan all at once, why would we take another loan? The other option I suggested was to deposit another $10,000 towards the loan and lower the monthly payment which is not possible as well. The manager offered to contact other banks in the area and apply for personal loans. After doing research, it is clear that banks do not offer lower rates because it is not long-term like a house loan, so they don't make much money out of it. This is a weird situation when we have the ability to lower our loan rate, but we can't. Service department is even a larger mess. We have oil change package with them, so we came a few times for that service. Every time I made an appointment online or through the phone, something wrong happened - either the system error didn't record the appointment or there was no shuttle available even though we requested it. A shuttle driver is a separate story as well. Not only he is grumpy, he doesn't wear seat belt while driving!!! There was a lady at the reception who was rude, messy and grumpy as well. I think she doesn't work anymore. We had some issue with sunroof and we had to leave a car for a few days to inspect. It turned out that we waited for 2 weeks to get it back, because when a technician was repairing one part he was accidentally breaking other parts, so they needed to order them and wait until they arrive, Another negative was that he left marks on the interior leather, and by the way, they never wash your car after service, not even a splash of water. Waiting times are also ridiculous. It is an average of 3 hours for a regular oil change, if you are not lucky enough to get a shuttle. They take a lot of orders and don't seem to have many technicians. Also, it turned out that we have factory defects with the sunroof, and recently we have received a factory recall letter about ABS. The bottom line is we have a one-year old car with factory defects. We are paying 7% interest on this car for the next 5 years and have a terrible service on it. DO NOT BY FROM ERICKSON NISSAN, they do not listen to customers that go there. I am still wanting to buy a Nissan Titan SL in a Cayenne Red, I have not bought yet, or have visited another dealer. Here is my story in short form: I checked online with Nissan.ca to design my ideal truck. I sent in my information online for approval, and the truck I wanted. Instantly I received a text from Horman Rad, and then a phone call letting me know he has two of them in stock, and a salesman would contact me. Sounds good so far !!!! Salesman Ally calls me and gets more information for approval and lets me know he has to bring in the SL model in the Red I originally had asked for and was told was in stock. Now I am not sure what is going on !!!!! I still go in to see Ally, he says he is going to work me out a great deal on a lower model truck as it is in stock, the lower end truck had many of the features I was looking for, he comes back with his best price. It sounds god, but I asked him let me know what the price of the SL would be. I left letting him know all the options I wanted and get me the complete price, (options, protection package and extended warranty). I went home to compare the two truck to see if it the one I really wanted. I put the numbers in and realized I was charged FULL MSRP PRICE. I picked up the phone and at he same time Ally called me. I let him know I was not impressed with him misinformation and will not buy a truck from him, I asked him why he did this, and he said he did not want to give me the best price if I was not ready to sign. When I was there he did not explain this to me, and then tried to make excuses. I had told him I gave him all the information beforehand, and he said he would make me a package for me and did not deliver. I went in to buy a SL truck and they want to know why I do not want o buy a lower model truck ???? I own a LE model right now and want to upgrade !!! Would you settle for less for the same price ??? I always buy private sale because every time I go to a dealer they're skeezy. You know that vibe they have, slimy car salesmen who could not care less what you're actually there for. This type of commission environment creates those people, I've worked in sales and I know how high pressure that job is. Tired of buying beaters and in need of finance I tried again this week. I went to a Dodge dealership to buy a Dodge with an appointment 48 hours in advance and the service was shamefully slow, car was dirty, tried to charge me more than their own price on their own website, DREADFUL. I went to Ericksen to see the same model right after. Phoned to give them 15 minutes notice I was coming and the car was ready, clean, newer, and cheaper than Dodge's. The salesman was young and supposedly quite inexperienced but a million times friendlier and more appreciative than Dodge. He RAN to get my car keys. He smiled a lot and didn't treat me like an idiot for being female. He offered the website price like an intelligent individual would, and they took an additional $900 off that for me as soon as I asked. Financing decreased my interest by 4% before finalizing as well. Every employee I encountered was exceptional, holding doors for me, bringing water without having to ask, even though I was buying a used Dodge and not a new Nissan. The service didn't stop after I signed. Finance added a free rust protection for me. They toured me around the mechanic shop. Everyone was just as friendly the next day when I came to give back my dealer plate. The car is beautifully taken care of, their extended warranty is VERY comprehensive and I couldn't be happier with the price. They are a "Go Auto" business so they adhered to many of the same business practices as the Go Auto Dodge I visited but the difference was clear. Go to Ericksen Nissan. Ask for Phadey. Buy a car from him. I didn't even realize dealerships could be a good experience until now. I'll be coming back when I trade in. No question. read more

Car dealerships are usually too over the top. The sales people are too much to handle. But at this Go Auto location, it was nice to meet Joban Singh. He was super friendly, caring, and only wanted to help. It was refreshing to meet someone who actually let you speak and wasn't pressuring us at all.
