I've taken the Go Apex bus a handful of times since it began on July 30. I've used it to meet a friend for dinner in downtown Apex and to walk in a different Apex neighborhood. Once, I took it all the way around just to see where it would go. I really like it, and I've learned some things that I hope will be helpful to others who want to give it a try.
Check out the website for the schedule and map. The bus will also have maps and schedules for you to take.
I definitely recommend the Trans-Loc app. Like most public transportation, sometimes it's a little early and sometimes it's a little late (just a few minutes either way). The app will tell you exactly when the bus will be arriving at your stop.
The bus makes a full "loop" hourly. This means if you get on at the same stop where you previously got off, you'll have to ride all the way around to get back home.
The bus runs Monday--Saturday, 6am to 10pm. Most drivers are friendly and helpful. One told me that she thinks they might add another bus to the route.
Finally, it's free, and it's a great way to check out our little town! read more
