This morning the 7 AM bus arrived 15 minutes early and everyone rushed to get on the bus thanking our bus was early about to leave. The bus driver was outside smoking a cigarette. Finally, as he started to pull off everybody saw the correct 6:43 AM bus pull up behind us. Everyone realized they were on the wrong bus, but the driver continue driving. He told everybody it was not his job to make sure they were on the right bus. So over 20 people are late for work. I called the number to complain but I promise you nothing will be done as usual. Buses are either late or do not show up at all. We are paying customers but the company does not care.

(Charlotte's much older, less well-kept station stands in stark contrast to this.) The only complaint: Parking is very limited; there is a gravel overflow lot with signs threatening towing but it's clear most cars there are not Amtrak customers; best advice is to take an Uber rather than plan to park there. We ended up taking a chance on a parking deck 1/3 mile away and hoped for the best. Apart from that: I must mention the staff in both the station and on the trains. They are friendly, helpful, and seem genuinely interested in doing their jobs and engaging with passengers. On both legs of a recent journey we were approached by conductors who seemed to be something more like ambassadors for Amtrak -- happy, wanted to talk about our trip and interests, mentioned things to see on our visit, etc. Really exceptional customer experience.

Buses run every 10-15 minutes prior to and during the game (and for approximately 45 minutes post-game). The buses are color-coded so you won't take the wrong one. However, if you're confused, look for a staff member in a bright yellow vest directing people!

He showed up on time, was very kind and offered to help out further if needed in the week and offered to find alternatives if he was busy. Overall, wonderful, and I cannot say enough good things about him. I was concerned to have my daughter be driven unaccompanied, but he was very helpful and reassuring.
