    We recently hired this moving company, and while the initial experience had a serious hiccup--two…read moreworkers unexpectedly walked off the job mid-move--the way the company recovered and the quality of the final service turned what could have been a 1-star rating into a solid 5-star endorsement. ​The management was reasonable and swiftly provided a one-hour credit for the delay, which was greatly appreciated since moving is expensive. Most importantly, the work saved on my back was worth every penny. I found their replies to be prompt once I reached the correct contact number. ​The true heroes of this move were the remaining crew members: Myron and Lynette. No one can control what workers do, and it was clear the worker walk-off was not the owners' or managers' fault. Myron and Lynette are the definition of true customer service. They were committed to finish the job,, saying, "No matter what, if it's just us two, we are going to finish the job." That level of commitment is amazing. ​They went above and beyond to ensure the job was completed with excellent quality. They stayed and worked tirelessly until the manager arrived with two replacement workers (who were fantastic and much better than the two who left--I regret not getting their names!). ​In the end, all things wrapped up extremely well. I was completely satisfied and happy with the move. I would absolutely use this company again, and no other. They earned this 5-star rating entirely because of the dedication, commitment, and quality service provided by Myron and Lynette. I hope the company recognizes how invaluable they are.

They are extremely incompetent…read more I was told they not only had availability on a Sunday, but that it would be cheaper to schedule a move for a Sunday. So, that's what I did. The movers arrived and asked me if I needed more time to pack. I had only hired them for heavy pieces of furniture which do not need to be packed. Which I stated to them. One of the movers, a woman named Lynnette, took photos and videos of my belongings WITHOUT MY CONSENT and called her boss to explain how I was not move ready when I just needed them to move furniture. Very unprofessional and honestly just plain rude. Another man who arrived asked to purchase my lawn mower that was not at all for sale. They absolutely refused to move me. Their moving consultant, Kobe, called me to let me know that I was not move ready and that they had availability to move me Monday or Tuesday. I needed to move SUNDAY, had planned everything around the SUNDAY move. I work for a living and was unable to take time off. When he tried to force me to reschedule I asked him to call me back at another time due to how upset I was with the whole interaction. Tuesday morning, I get a call from a mover telling me they are 10 minutes away. Huh? I never scheduled anything for Tuesday and was under the impression I would receive a follow up call to reschedule the move. Contacted them and they told me I said that Tuesday was fine and if it wasn't a good day that I had planned to call back. Complete and utter lies. As of now, I have not gotten my refundable deposit of $100 back from them. Now I have to find different movers. I am living between two different houses (luckily due to friends and family I was able to move the absolute bare minimum on Sunday, but not everyone has that). It is had been a NIGHTMARE. Please please please if you value your time and you need movers go somewhere else.

    100% Do NOT recommend Pods moving and storage!!! Aside from running over my brand new top-soiled…read moreand seeded grass that had JUST grown and creating huge ruts, they were supposed to pick up my container on Saturday and it is STILL sitting in my driveway. HORRIBLE service. My month was up on July 6th. I went online to schedule pickup on the 3rd but they had no availability until the 9th so I scheduled it and I got my email confirmation. Fast forward to the 5th - there's a credit card charge for the next month of storage for almost $400 for the dates July 5-August 4!! I called and the rep put in a "request for refund" and said that I "should" receive a refund within 5-10 business days. OK...annoying, but at least it was handled properly. Saturday July 9th I never got a phone call saying they were on their way. I get home at 5 and POD is still in the driveway so I call. Rep said I was the last one on the schedule and they would be there that night. Nope. I called back Monday morning to report it was never picked up. Rep apologized and said she would submit a report and get it on the schedule for Tuesday as they didn't have anything available for Monday. aggravating - I am now fully moved into my new house and I NEED the driveway space for my two cars. My street is narrow and don't like parking on the street for fear someone may sideswipe me. Tuesday comes I get NO email confirmation, no phone call and NO PICK UP yet again!!! I call early this time hoping to get them out there that day and rep says the "Storage Center in Edwardsville shows no record of a pick up order in their system". wow...just...wow. Of course they can't pick up Tuesday so it was supposedly scheduled for today, Wednesday and she got a verbal confirmation from the Edwardsville location that I was on the schedule. Well now here it is on Wednesday at 7:00 at night and the pod is still here!! I've been on the phone with them TWICE today and cannot get an answer as to why it won't get picked up. SUPER frustrated. Needless to say, I will never use PODS again. It's a shame - it's a great alternative to traditional movers and allowed me the flexibility to move and unpack in my own timeframe. Sadly the service is sub-par and they don't seem to really care to make things right by escalating problems/issues to a higher priority.

We started working PCS orders in Jan 2022, and initially contracted…read morewith PODS for 4 (then 5) 8x16 containers for a PCS DITY move from OKC to Scott AFB, with approx 2 months in storage. Every time we spoke with a rep during the initial set up, we made sure they knew this was a military PCS and that we needed Weight Tickets; even got charged $64.99 per container! PODS reps told us the weight tickets would be mailed to us; never got them. Pickups went ok and all 5 were picked up, even if one was at the last minute (day our old house sold!). In Feb 22 we began calling to ask where the weight tickets were, since we hadn't received them yet. In late Mar 22 we moved into our home at our new assignment, asked the delivery drivers if they had the tickets, and we were told to contact customer service. Called over a dozen times and sent several emails, and in mid-May we finally got copies of only 3 "empty" and 3 "full" weight tickets (needed them for all 5 containers, or 10 total) that were blown up (doesn't show all the info or full page), with no name or container #, and the weights were unreadable. TMO would not accept these, and we called back asking for all of the tickets and better copies. Emailed back and forth with a rep and still got nowhere. Now 10 months later and still no help from anyone at this company - just to make clear, readable COPIES of items we were charged for but never received! Can't get reimbursed for the move from TMO without the weight tickets. AVOID USING THEM, or you'll be out of a lot of money, too!! "Keep more money in your pocket"-hahaha not with this company. Terrible customer responsiveness; can never speak to anyone with authority to get this fixed. DO NOT USE.

    A Grateful Review for Arch Moving -- Raekwon, Darryl, and Israel -- True Professionals with Heart…read more Moving my elderly mom from her spacious 3-bedroom condo into a cozy 1-bedroom independent living apartment was supposed to be a fairly simple transition--we were only bringing a portion of her belongings. But as moves often go, it turned out to be much more complex than expected. In the midst of sorting and packing, some of the remaining furniture created an unintentional trip hazard. I heard a stumble and rushed into the room just in time to witness something I'll never forget--Israel, one of the young movers, caught my mom midair as she was falling. No exaggeration: that young man saved my mom. A fall like that could have changed everything for her, and I will never forget his quick thinking, strength, and care. The move itself ended up taking 8 hours--double what we anticipated--but the team never once complained. Raekwon, Darryl, and Israel worked with professionalism, grace, and heart from start to finish. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and handled with respect. They worked quickly without rushing, took care with every item, and brought kindness and good humor to what could have been a stressful day. By the end, we weren't just grateful--we were genuinely fond of them. We even snapped a photo together to remember the moment.     The worst moving company. The driver tried to get us to give him cash for the move instead paying…read morethrough credit card (super suspicious) and the assistant they hired (recent high school graduate) was extremely rough with our stuff (throwing boxes down and slamming down furniture) and had a really weird bad attitude the whole time. They also damaged an expensive leather chair (tried to force it through a doorway that was too small damaging the chair, floor, and door frame even though the driver said he "measured it" and it would "definitely fit, no problem") and then tried to blame us, and then tried to get us to sign something that released them from blame. When we called management, they also tried to avoid responsibility and then tried to lowball us on replacing the chair. Ultimately, after multiple calls, they sent someone to repair the flooring and patch up chair. A huge hassle to get something repaired that should have never been damaged in the first place. Would avoid hiring this company!
