I'm all into that hippie dippy stuff. After all, I'm the Cuban Stevie Nicks. I was raised in this…read moreneighborhood and finally came in to see what this recoveco was all about. Let me tell you, it was hard to get me out. First of all, I love the owner! She's the coolest lady with a wickedly intuitive insight for spotting out exactly what you need. The aisles are packed with tons of herbal remedies for literally any ailment your body can throw at you. Vegan? They got you. Vegetarian? There's an aisle for that. Overprotective mom who passed her Vicks VapoRub stage? Say no more. Dude, they even have avocado honey and some groovy migraine drops for when the Palmetto Expressway fusses with your chakras. Herbs, spices, tinctures, and supplements galore is what you'll find on your visit here. I'm surprised more people aren't flocking here like wild geese. Hipsters, come get your mangosteen on over here because this is where the wild things are. Let's put it this way, I walked out of here with a higher awareness of the whole idea that my body is a machine, and that sometimes, that machine cannot solely survive from croquetas alone. Wild, but true. I've never seen artichoke tea but on my next trip here, I'm grabbing a box of it...because why not? Miami Lakes has character and it's found throughout Hale's Health Food so throw yourself Herbalife away and wear your best leggings because this one is a gem worth celebrating.

However, the warm culture has changed; the "shopping is a pleasure culture" is not what it use to be from the Front Management stand point. This was especially apparent this afternoon, the manager was just walking back and forth, back and forth. There was no smiling, no hello he was Just walking back and forth. Where are the nice greetings as you walk in the door, the hello's, the good morning's, the good-afternoon's etc... I have ALWAYS, been a Publix girl!!! Yes it costs a bit more but the service is what makes the difference. I Love the friendly deli staff and the bakery and produce staff are always helpful too! However, I must unfortunately say the Manager at the front lacked the warm, welcoming feeling that I have been use to for over 35 YEARS! Yes I am dating myself but thats ok! I can TRULY speak to the change so lets get back to that "shopping is a pleasure" feeling as soon as you ENTER the store!

We've found ingredients that aren't listed in the ingredient list added to them such as spinach found in the bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos. For anyone with food allergies, I would probably suggest NOT buying those pre-made items and instead go with homemade because you may not be buying what the ingredient list says you should be buying.
