Was about to go in cuz I see they have four and a half stars but I decided to call first to make sure that they had an item in stock. My issue is with AJ he likes to play mind games I essentially spelled out the name of the item that I needed used terms on the bottle that's part of the name and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and said they don't have any products that I'm requesting even in the price range of the $75 that I specified. I know from a different employee that this is one of the most expensive items in this category. After I kept asking him you don't have this item are you sure three times he then decides to pronounce the name that I was having a hard time saying. And then said he didn't know what I was talking about then changed it to he couldn't hear me the phone was breaking up even though he repeated the phrase that I was saying to him. I like this location because it's sort of close to home and there is one guy that works there that is super helpful. For the most part I never ever went to GNC stores because I had no reason to be in there. Since I've started running I needed to get something healthy to put in me after I would run so I thought what a better place then GNC to find something nutritious for post work out. So I went to this location and the guy working walked me through what was good, their deals they had going on and it was a no pressure gig. Now I've been in other times when my guy isn't working and I feel like I'm at a car dealership trying to get swindled by a sales guy. I work out all the time, from yoga to biking to weight lifting and on top of all of that I am a vegetarian so I need to take supplemental vitamins, to be sure I am not deficient, in addition to getting all my other supplements to keep in shape and keep energized. The staff here, especially AJ were super helpful on the multiple occasions that I have come here this month, even when I decided that I really didn't like a certain brands chocolate protein powder, they exchanged it for me without a problem for a much better tasting peanut butter chocolate protein powder.. it was amazing. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly! They did give me (what seemed to be) their honest opinion about products and they didnt say the most expensive product was the best. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I felt they tried to sell me more than I wanted, which is what is done is sales but I got a little annoyed about it. This was my first time visiting this location and I was met with hostile from an associate that seem to be high at the moment. I was returning a detox kit I bought from a different location in Topanga. Walking into the store the associate asked me two random questions, confusing me with a different customer I am guessing. He proceeds to take the kit which is still in its original package unused and everything. As he is inspecting the kit he ask me if I opened it I reply and say no. He starts the transaction then ask me if I used the contents in the kit I say no again. This exchanges of repetitive questions goes on for another 5 mins as he types away on the computer. After tinkering the computer he turns to me and says the system is down he is unable to complete the transaction. Mind you he just sold something to a customer as I was entering the store. So I ask if they just went down he reply's and says no I just don't know how to do the return. I ask if someone else is here or if he can call a manager to be walkthrough the process. The entire time he associate is spacey and slow to response, i ask if he is high at the point he becomes fluster and begins to threaten me by calling 911. Trying to understand what is happening we getting into argument, another associate comes in and I ask for his help. He starts the entire process again taking my II.D, inputting the receipt information after about 5 minutes he say he can not complete the transaction because his store is a franchise location and the one I went to is corporate and the information is on a different server and he can't access it without the original hard copy of he receipt which he had is hand. At this point I leave still with the product I tried to return. I am sitting in my car and the associate I had the altercation with comes out with my I.D as I reach out to grab he is drops and walks away. Completely pissed at this point i proceeded yo call him a bitch. I got back into the store for the manager number the client at this point is screaming at me saying he is going to call 911 and he did. I asked the other associate for the information he said he is unable to give it to me. I leave and call corporate office. Do not go to this store service is rude and the guy was trying to fight me telling me to step outside. read more
