I usually come in for…read morea body scan and purchase my BCAA hydration juice, a preworkout, maybe some protein snacks, and I'm on my way. In the beginning of 2025 I stocked up when they had sales. I've come in twice recently, once before a challenge and once after the challenge commenced. The challenges used to be free, but they're $10 now. I obliged hoping the owner lady would be less skeptical of me. The first time I came in. She offered other people a couple of samples to perhaps help them with whatever needs weren't met on their scans. Me? Nothing. I looked them over and gathered two with which I thought would perhaps replace or supplement the products I'm already using. She eyed me weird. Can't explain it. But I let it go. The next time my wife and I came in after paying the fee and signing up online. She greeted us and asked if we were here to scan. We said yes. It's pretty obvious she's sizing us up. I figured it was just to maybe figure out what products to push, but instead she asked several times if we had signed up...and "did we pay online orrrr..." oh boy, so weird. I thought by paying the small fee she would be less weird, but I guess I needed to hold my phone up to her face for proof? She even questioned us regarding what app we paid on, like we were carrying on a big $20 scam. Look the scan is worth it, the products are worth it. I'm just going to leave this here in case anyone else is feeling the same way. Happy lifting everyone!

So, I am not a big cosmetics person and I don't really care what products I use as long as they are…read morenot greasy. So, for me to write a review on a company that makes these kinds of products should tell you something. Well, I am not a big fan of shaving, never have been. After leaving NYC about a decade ago and moving to the Bay Area (San Jose, CA), I found that what you wear and how you look has nothing to do with how you do what you do. People out here don't condemn you if you are not in a suit for work like they do in NY. So, my days of t-shirts and relaxed shaving began. My life is better. However, after growing facial hair for over five days (sometimes seven), shaving is a real problem. I am kinda tired of electric. Using a blade (I use that four blade thing with the strip on top) with a gel shaving cream still irritates the hell out of my face...I'm sensitive!!!! Well, when I was visiting my friend Micah in Worcester, I did not have the travel cream. His wife Iris let me use an organic product she picked up...the "Creamy Shave Gel" from Nature's Gate. I don't know what to say. It's like I didn't even put a blade to my face. I have now been using it exclusively as my shaving solution and I have not had a problem since. I mean, I used to dread having to shave after five days. Now, no big deal. It's like my skin does not even know the blades are even there! I included a shot of the type of beard I am talking about. Please do not be scared!

I use their AquaBlock also, which claims to offer 8 hour waterproof protection, but is a little greasier than the dry sunblock SportBlock. Nature's Gate sunscreens are cruelty free, very important. And they do the job! Update: 8/16: Bummer! I just found out they discontinued the SportBlock. Can't imagine why! Well, the other varieties are still available and even have spiffy new packaging.

The service is great, and the food is also great!…read more I cannot believe that I have never been to this place in the past, it seems that this place had seen better days, though. The interior decor is a bit outdated, and it's a bit cramped. I cannot for the life of me fathom what would cause it, but there is a distinct odor from the place itself. It doesn't prevent me from enjoying my meal, but it is pretty strong. Also, the unfortunate location of the place which is near a 7-Eleven and near a major crossing street, just made the experience a bit unnerving. You see homeless folks (or unhoused, if you want to be politically correct) lounging around, and you're left to wonder when the next riot or zombie outbreak will happen. Otherwise, the food is great, it felt like home and pretty delicious. It was packed with flavor, albeit the price is a bit steep. I have no other issue with the place, I think it deserves its fair share.
