I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, and I've been super nervous and cautious about going to salons. I went for the second time right before Christmas, I had powder gel done. I was one of the first clients to be seen. I felt super safe and comfortable. I went in last week (01/14/2021) to take off the powder gel, which btw lasted very long and looked beautiful, but because I can give birth at any moment, I didn't want to deal with taking them off after the baby arrives. I had a mani/pedi done. Both were done in the room in the back, where pedicures are done. I was the only one there. They made sure I was comfortable. I really appreciate them doing both my mani pedi in that room because of my back, neck, and just being pregnant during a pandemic. They are literally the sweetest ever! And I love how long my nails last. She took her time with my cuticles and massage. I am honestly so grateful because anyone who's been pregnant before, knows how nice it feels to get a great foot massage. I've never felt so relaxed and at ease throughout this pregnancy, in a pandemic. The sparkly nails with mint green toe nails is a picture of my mani pedi todAy, meaning a WEEK after getting them done! I do laundry, wash plates, and clean the house the most I can. I went here to get a spray tan before my wedding after reading all the great reviews. I can't…read moreremember the names of the 2 ladies that were there working with me, but they were both very nice and sweet. I felt very comfortable!! Once the spray was over they gave me a dryer to dry the tan off with. I think it was a little too powerful, or I held it too close (most likely a combination of the 2) because my spray tan had drip marks on my back shoulder. No one else noticed unless I pointed it out so it wasn't too bad...but next time maybe they could help with that part or give a little more instruction. Before I left I was SUPER dark (I asked for the lightest option possible). I've spray Tanned before so I know it's mainly the bronzer, but asked how long it should stay on. I'm very pale and didn't want to look unnatural. They recommended overnight (I was their last appointment of the day so it was already late). When I woke up the next morning I was so scared because I was wayyyy too dark and it looked so fake :( I jumped in the shower to rinse off and was still super dark after. Considering it was now a day before my wedding I was in full panic mode and trying everything to lessen the tan. By the day of my wedding the tan faded to a more normal natural color. The final outcome was good and I was happy with it. If it wasn't for my wedding I wouldn't have panicked so much with the super dark color and let it fade naturally. The only negative was that the tan ended up on the inside of my dress and kept wearing off. By that time you would think it wouldn't be transferring to any fabrics (especially after all the showers I took trying to lessen the color). Even 4 days after the spray tan when I went to get a pedicure for the honeymoon the tan was coming off on the white towels the salon was using when wiping my legs down. Was very weird. All in all, I would return to get another spray tan because the final outcome was good and even compared to self tan or booths. However I would shower a little sooner instead of letting it sit overnight. And ask for help with the drying process :) and get tips on how to make it set better so it doesn't transfer onto clothing days after.
