My go to spot for a spray tan. Wish they ran better deals though, usually have to wait for a holiday to get good prices. The girls there at the front desk are young and friendly. I like how the automatic spray tan speaks and sprays as it is activated. I wish they gave cotton balls to plug our noses tho since the spray tan gets in there. read more

Ok so let's just bang this out.. bronze bar is packed pre-prom season with the chitlins frying their last brain cells before they embark off to college and whatnot. Me being the dumb dumb that I am, I come here when I'm cold and in need of color so that no one discovers the vampire I truly am. Recommend getting a shot package or doing a monthly thing if you expect to go back a few times to build color. It will save you in the long run. Im not sure what's up with the girl at the front desk who Always wears a hat, but she's rude. Never says hello, shows No expression, always gives an Attitude. I've literally told my husband that I was Going to be extremely nice And see if I can get her to lighten up.. nope. What a miserable human. Nice tan for sure, but the front desk lady they've had for awhile now continues to be rude. Today she slammed my credit card on the counter and rolled her eyes at me and my cousin. Being a 35 year old queens native from Astoria Queens known to have some of the best restaurants cafés, salons, shopping the list goes on !! when I bought my house in Mahopac five years ago I was concerned I wouldn't find a tanning salon that would meet the one I used to go to in my old neighborhood ,however I came across 2 the other I will leave out of this review but Bronze Bar Tanning was the one I stuck with for many reasons first and foremost their machines especially their lay downs are always on points clean and just give you a super gorgeous glow, package pricing is so reasonable other places are outrageous, don't forget their versa and their mystical spray tan stand ups are a win when you will have I believe three or four options of colors to pick from all which come out so natural looking another thing I absolutely love about this place is it's such a retro upscale little hidden gem with a amazing group of workers that are always welcoming overall I have not cheated on Bronze Bar in the past five years I've lived here !! definitely a five-star salon oh and if you book a airbrush appointment for a special events or just because prepare to look absolutely gorgeous their appointment system is so easy love my Bronze Bar crew and everything it comes with it #GoGetYourTanson read more

I really was stoked when I seen bronze bar was so close to my new place, but unfortunately I can't get anyone to assist me. I have an event that I need to be spray tanned for, I've mad numerous attempts to book an appointment to do so. When I finally got someone on the phone (since they never answer) I was told the person who does the spray tan's books her own appointments. I was given her phone number, I called this person to book the appointment but got a voice mail, I left a message never was called back. I called several more times, but no one ever calls me back. I called up bronze bar and told them the situation, the girl wasn't rude. She told me there was nothing she could do. I asked her so what happens if I never hear back and she told me to text her, which I did and still haven't heard back. This forces me to now travel all the way to Yonkers to get a spay tan. I'm very disappointed! Very makes bad business. read more

Okay so I've gone here forever and it's been great super clean and you can't beat the $10 tan. I called earlier today and confirmed the time the $10 tans start but for some reason they gave me false information and the tans are only Monday and Tuesday? Not impressed at all. I only come to this salon if I have to. Basically for convenience and last minute occasions... All this salon really has to offer is cleanliness and an updated appearance. When it first opened this salon was great but it really fell off. The girls who work there aren't to informative. Quickly take your name and send you on your way. No effect to upgrade, packages, nor try to sell you any lotions. The beds are nothing great. The bulbs in the bed must be old because I tan VERY easily and in my recent visit I got absolutely no color whatsoever ! Also, there was no music on when I arrived and none in the room where I was tanning. As I was leaving I faintly heard music but definitely not something I could hear while in the bed. A waste of my money. I used to work in a tanning salon and my family used to own one, so, I'm pretty familiar with how the run. read more

Needs some attention from owner. Girls at desk are way too busy on their phones and giving preference to their friends who come in and cut the lines. Spray tan booth is FREQUENTLY either out of service or partly out of service . Blower is broken or they are out of various solutions. Management needs to manage here. read more
