My complaint is regarding a telephone experience I had. I booked a facial appointment on a Sunday. I received a text stating there was a cancellation for earlier and did I want to take it. Without any hesitation I said sure. I then got a phone call stating the esthetician was in the hospital. Again, without any hesitation I said no problem without looking at my own schedule. I reached back out to let them know there was a scheduling conflict, can I either come in later or the following day. I was told if I switched, I will be charged. I explained to the receptionist my dis-satisfaction with this, and it turned into a back-and-forth battle. I asked to speak with the manager and was told there was no manager on site. The following day I did get a return phone call from the manager Maureen who did not try to problem solve, defuse the situation or used any form of de- escalating the situation. She called me with her boxing gloves on and said " she did not like the way I spoke to her staff, and I needed to give her an apology. Maureen took the interaction between her staff and I personally and did not try to hear or understand my frustration. I have sent an email asking to speak with the owner regarding this matter and Maureen has told me she will send the owner a message but doubt highly she will respond. I have had plenty of conversations with the owner and she seems to be a very personable person. I am not sure if the owner is getting the messages. I cancelled my membership merely on the interaction with Maureen, If the owner would have reached out and I could have voiced my dissatisfaction and I would have not cancelled my membership. Maureen can use some training on how to deal with unsatisfied customers.
