I had my hair and makeup done for my daughter's wedding. I was disappointed with my hair. I told the stylist that I wanted my hair to look full that I didn't like flat hair. Though I don't have thick hair when product is used it can look fuller. I don't think she even used any thickening product. When it was done I asked her to try to make it look better. Other stylist have done much better jobs. Makeup was just ok. read more

Just had my brows dome with Danielle and I am beyond happy with the result! She took her time, listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Daniel was super accommodating, called her the night before to she if she could possibly come thirty minutes early, she got back to be right away and showed up early for us. Made the trip to B. Boutique for my lash fill appointment which i had made at my prior appointment. Although i had her business card with my appointment date/time and a text confirmation of the appointment they said my particular artist doesnt work on that day. Ever. Instead of accomadating me right then for my trouble they gave me a new appointment on my next day off. Looking forward to the appointment as now my lashes are almost completely gone. Recieved a conformation text that stated my appointment was the day AFTER my day off. I called the boutique to tell them this and they said no one will be in to do my lashes on my scheduled day. I explained that mistake once is understandable but twice is just BAD business! read more

If Yelp allowed zero stars, B Boutique would get zero stars. My experience with them was a complete NIGHTMARE - unnecessary stress and frustration. Never have I experienced such lack of professionalism in my life. For it to happen on my wedding day made me break down into tears. I tell my friends about what happened and everyone is in disbelief such a thing can happen. I had issues reaching them prior to my wedding, but I brushed that off thinking it would be okay on my wedding day. My mistake! I should have listened to the other reviews complaining about B Boutique being hard to get a hold of. (My friend's consultation appointment got canceled as she was driving to her appointment!!) Two weeks before my wedding, I emailed Danielle to make sure she was still coming at 5 AM like we had discussed - no response. A week later, I called and left a voice mail to ask for a call back. Still no response. I FINALLY got through a couple of days before my wedding to verify the start time - Danielle assured me her and her associate would be at my house at 5-530 AM no problem. The day of my wedding, 5 AM rolls around. No make up artist. 530 AM. Still no make up artist. 630 AM still no one nor phone call. 640 AM, my sister drives to their boutique to make sure it wasn't a mix up in location. No one was there. I panicked since I was without a make up artist for my bridesmaids and myself. 740 AM (OVER TWO HRS AFTER THE AGREED START TIME), I get a phone call from one of the two girls that was supposed to come. She said she was outside my house and asked if I still needed her. I HIRED TWO GIRLS, INSTEAD I GET ONE GIRL THAT WAS OVER 2 HRS LATE?? Anyhow, I was leaving on my honeymoon, so my cousin told the girl to have Danielle reach out to her ASAP while I was away. My cousin left numerous messages to be called back, never got a call back. I finally emailed Danielle while I was away, didn't get a response. I called and left a voice mail once I came back from my honeymoon (two weeks after my wedding), didn't get a response. I finally came into the boutique to speak with Danielle about what happened - only then would she finally talk to me. It was unprofessional for her to be unresponsive leading up to the wedding day. It was beyond unprofessional to leave me without a make up artist on my wedding day. The worst part? I never got an email or phone call to apologize for what happened until I confronted her face to face. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Trying to get my refund was also a nightmare.. I hope no bride ever has to experience what I went through. So please do yourself a favor - avoid the unnecessary stress and go somewhere else. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and their friends to stay away from this place like it was the plague. read more

Danielle, the B. Brow and Makeup Boutique owner and makeup artist, did my makeup for my wedding back in June 2010. I have to say that I really did my homework on all of my wedding vendors, and decided to take a chance on B's for a makeup consultation. I figured going to B's would be worth a shot, because: a) they do not charge money for a consultation - which is so unusual because EVERYWHERE I looked charged for this. When I asked Danielle why she had this awesome policy, she told me that she didn't think it was fair to charge people for a product if they're not going to end up buying it. Come to think of it - that makes perfect sense! I mean, who has to pay to just try on a pair of shoes? You won't know if you want to buy them unless you try them on first! b) the studio is right in E. Milton, which is pretty convenient for me. c) I was told that they did on-location application, and wouldn't charge a ton to do it (I think the service was only $30-$40, compared to $150 at most places). On the day of the consultation, I walked into the boutique and was really uplifted by the atmosphere. It has an open floor plan, with bright and colorful displays and a lot of sunlight coming through the front windows. It was very cheery. As the overly organized bride, I brought in a couple of different photos of makeup ideas I liked. Danielle explained the difference in the color pallets used in the pictures, and said we could try it a couple of different looks. I liked the first look she tried, and even asked her to go lighter or heavier in some areas, which she gladly did. She marked up a piece of paper with all of my colors and the techniques she used, and said she would hang on to it for the BIG DAY so she could recreate the look. I paid her the $125 plus travel in advance, which was great because it was one less thing to worry about the day of. About 4 days before the wedding, I went back for a brow waxing. I don't really have a lot of brow hair, but I grew out what I could. I think Ali did my brows that day, and we both agreed it was better to leave them thicker than to take too much off. In all honesty, its a brow waxing...its not going to be life changing. I thought it was fine for what it was - someone ripping maybe 30 hairs out of my face. I think she might have under-plucked a little, and I had to go back in later that day and snag a couple of rouge hairs. Although, when its days before your wedding, its better to under-do something than over-do it. The day of my wedding arrived - and it rained (which is apparently lucky, and has been thus far). Danielle showed up at my hotel room at the Fairmont Copley in Boston right on time. Instead of relying on the room lighting, she had me pull my chair up to the window so she could apply the makeup under natural light. The look was pretty similar to what we had done during the consultation, and we tweaked it a little to get it perfect. Natural, yet glamorous. Lastly, we had to apply the fake lashes, which we didn't practice during the consultation (which is pretty standard). Except, Danielle forgot that I had asked for them. Because I typically apply my own falsies for special occasions, I was kind of bummed that I wouldn't be wearing them on such an important day. Danielle told me not to worry about it and said she'd be back in 5. She literally ran up the block to CVS in the rain without an umbrella, bought lashes for me with money out of her own pocket, ran back to the hotel. and applied them on me. Talk about saving the day! My makeup looked great all afternoon and all night. Working with Danielle was like having your makeup applied by a VERY talented girlfriend - its all about you, and making you happy. I've been going to B for about a year now and the service has been great. I want to love it BUT I have to give it 2 stars because of their poor scheduling ability, specifically listening while making phone appointments. For the second time I've made an appointment via phone for my brows and shown up at the scheduled time only to be told my appointment was the day before. Normally this wouldn't have been a big deal, except I hired a nanny to watch my kids so my toddler wouldn't run screaming through the shop during my appointment. Sorry B. boutique, but you just lost another customer. This is the second time this has happened in 3 months. Not only could I not get my brows done, but I had to pay $40 to not have them done. I have been going to B Boutique for lashes and brows-lip- chin waxing for a long time now and am long overdue to write a yelp review. Usually I go to Danielle, but have worked with the other employees on occasion and it has always been a great experience. The quality of their products is better than elsewhere and for the first time ever I don't break out after the waxing. I would be wary going anywhere else for the lashes because I want a medical quality adhesive near my eye. All of the employees have been very professional, have been very accommodating with scheduling. I have enjoyed buying high quality products such as waterless face cleanser for at the gym, my favorite red lipstick, etc. In the shop. My lashes last 2-3 weeks between fills and I get constant compliments. I really enjoy the experience, often fall asleep during the lash application. read more

I came here to get lash extensions. My motivation for checking this shop out was from a Bloomspot gift certificate. My overall experience was great! I made my appointment over the phone. I left a voicemail and they called me back promptly. They were pretty busy and booked up, but they worked with my schedule to get me in. Danielle is a riot. She's one of the owners and super sweet. She's very professional, and personable. She's been certified to do lashes for 4 years. I've gotten lashes done once before (at a different spa). Anyone who's gone through the process knows it usually takes a couple hours for a full set. But Danielle was done in 1.5. I did not feel irritation in the application (the last time, I had 1-2 instances of burning). And since then, i've only lost maybe 1 or 2 lashes. The shop overall was clean, cute, and had alot of great beauty products. In the end, B. Boutique is highly recommended for makeup and other treatments. I'm very impressed. read more

I really like this shop BUT I have to give 2 stars because I just made a trip to the store (having checked the website for hrs and it says open until 8p on Fri) and you're closed at 6:15p on a nice Fri evening. There was no sign on the door about being closed and the hrs read 10a-8p. Really disappointing. Not great when a customers drives out of their way during rush hr and you're randomly closed. My review is specifically for the eyebrow waxing. I have not experienced any of their other services. Went here for an eyebrow wax after hearing pretty good reviews from a few people. Friends had said that they really take their time with your brows and come up with some kind of "brow plan" for you to make you look your best. Perhaps I just didn't have a lot that needed to be adjusted, but I didn't have that experience at all. I had made an appointment ahead of time and got lost because their website didn't display their correct address. I still arrived on time, but had to wait a few minutes before being led into a back room, even though the place was completely empty. I appreciated that she did take her time with waxing and plucking a few strays. She also made a few suggestions (like purchasing a brow comb and brow powder) but I didn't think that the overall treatment was anything special compared to what I have experienced at other salons/boutiques. The service cost me $16 and I only noticed after my appointment that they had let me leave with wax on my face! So much for attention to detail. read more

I'm so disappointed with B. Boutique. I had made an appointment for eyelash extensions at 9am today. I had noticed that their hours were posted to open at 10 but I figured they would have someone there at 9. Especially after the appointment reminder call I received, reiterating that my appointment was at 9. Arrive at 8:45. Go to Starbucks next door. Grab a coffee and head back over. Sign on the door saying that they were closed the day before but would be back at 10 am on Thursday. Door locked. Ok that's fine I'm still early. Wait in my car. Go back to try the door at 9:10. Nope. Dark inside and locked. At this point I'm contemplating just going home and coming back but that would be pointless because I would get home and then just have to turn back around to be back at 10. So I wait. And wait. 10:15 rolls around. Still no one there. Sigh. I left. Such a waste of my morning. I get one day off a week and I'm pretty tightly scheduled on those days. I get excited when I get to do something nice for myself. So add another complaint in their scheduling column. read more

This review is based on my experience with B Boutique as my wedding hair and makeup. I worked with Danielle of B Boutique in Milton and Stephanie was my hair stylist. Both of them were very friendly and easy to work with on the wedding day, when they came to the hotel to do the hair and makeup for me and three members of the wedding party. My makeup looked AMAZING, and everything really stayed put throughout the day. My hair was really pretty and Stephanie was flexible about how I wanted it to look right up until the last minute -- however, my hair fell out in the back right before I was walking down the aisle. It still looked fine, but it probably wasn't being held up enough. It was a bit hard to get in touch with Danielle up until the wedding because she's so busy and it took a bit to respond to emails, but it ended up being no trouble since they were both right on time and worked very smoothly to get everything done -- very professional and nice! Danielle even gave me the lipstick she put on me for touch-ups! The eyelash extensions were amazing! I can't really speak for the value because I'd never been a part of anything like this before, but it did seem in line with what other people were charging that I had looked up. I'd definitely recommend for makeup, but I'd probably tell people to make sure they get extra hairspray if they get their hair done! read more

UPDATE (3 days later): As you know, I was greatly disappointed in the service and, today, when I saw that it looked like all of the extensions had fallen off, I decided to stop by the business to register my complaint in person (so that they could see the result/evidence.) The manager/owner was receptive and told me that she was glad that I spoke with her in person and offered to do another lash extension herself (she has a lot of experience; I think she said 20 years.) She gave me her card and told me to contact her for an appointment (she offered me one on the spot but I didn't have my calendar.) I am feeling a whole lot better now and, once I have the new service, I shall write another (hopefully, 5 star next time!) review. Sadly, this visit was not a good one considering the time invested as well as the expense. I spent an uncomfortable (flat on my back for with eyes closed and taped; I had to remain still) 2 hours. I thought that I'd be wowed when Amanda finished the job, but it was definitely not a wow. It was a meh. Since I knew that her next client was waiting, I didn't let her know that I was underwhelmed and I tipped well (felt obligated since she spent so much time on the extensions.) My daughter stopped by and asked me if I'd done my brows (I did yesterday at another shop) and I mentioned that I got the eyelash extensions. She asked, "When?" When I told her that it was done a couple of hours previously, she was very surprised. She said it wasn't a good service; it looked like I had it done at least a week ago. She could tell that I had the service but it just wasn't a good one. I found this place from the Mario Badescu site. I was really excited that there is a boutique with a few niche brands, some of which are my favorite ones, right next door. It's a small shop but no matter, they have lots of brands. If you don't see a color you like, it's probably not on display as a sample but the staff has samples in the back for you to try. The best part is that I found my new brow waxer, Ali. My former waxer moved to Dallas and I have been looking for someone new since then. I'm a firm believer that brows are the most important feature and have to be groomed well. Ali is beyond great at doing brows and they have a loyalty program. Showed up and they were closed; the hours stated they didn't open until 10:00. Called after 10:00 to discuss that and was told they would put me in for the next day (yesterday Sunday) at 2:00 even though they are closed on Sundays. Again, received a confirmation text which I responded C to confirm. AGAIN showed up and the place was closed. very careless and unprofessional on B. Boutique's end. Lowest rating possible due to the fact that a hired make up artist who was scheduled to provide three services did not show for scheduled time for my wedding makeup and hair. Was supposed to arrive at 2:45, did not respond to text or call around 3pm, called me back at 3:20 saying her "gps died" and she could be there in 20 minutes...effectively an hour late. Due to photographer timing there was no way that would work and beyond that was handled so unprofessionally by this makeup artist. Imagine dealing with this on your wedding day. Owner has not responded to my outreaches requesting my deposit back. Extremely unsatisfied with lack of professionalism and respect. read more

I purchased two separate Groupons - one for eyebrow design consultation with 2 brow visits and the other for eyelash extension. I scheduled both services on the same visit. My review would be for both services. First - the eyelash extension...it took bout 1.5hrs and I fell asleep during the process so it didn't feel that long. Overall, I think Christina did a great job. I just wished it was more on the fuller than just the longer side. Hopefully, on the refill session - I'll see different results. As for the eyebrow design consultation - it wasn't really anything special since there wasn't much recommendation or change. She cleaned up the brows but no difference in shape or style. I had my bridal makeup done by Vyvy. I was a big pain about the pink lipstick I wanted and she was able to find one that I liked. (It's hard to find pink lipstick for Asians w/ pigmented lips!) I received raved reviews from my guests and family. My skin is fairly oily so I was relieved that the makeup stayed in tact. This review is for the brow wax. I really like the outcomes of both my visits to B Boutique. The skill of the stylists is definitely high. Overall, the experience is so-so. Everyone is friendly, although the level of professionalism is a mixed bag due to the 20-something ladies running the place. Some seem to have a better handle on customer service than others, but overall everyone is nice. I've been a walk-in both times I've visited, though, and they take me right away, and I'm out in 15 minutes. The prices can't be beat: only $12 (not including tip) each of the two times I went (discounted price with coupon). The normal price is $15 for a brow wax, which is still pretty reasonable these days. For a quick, convenient stop in a clean and friendly atmosphere, it's worth a try. read more

Dont look any further! B Boutique is the place to go! The atmosphere is great. The girls are super professional. And it helps that they are beautiful too! They use the products in the shop and can provide their personal feedback. I went during a promo night and got a makeover for free. That night I went out and got so many compliments! I also got eye lash extensions. VeVe did such an amazing job! and it only took 1 1/2 hours, which is so quick. But the quality was fantastic. My problem is I didnt keep up with the maintenance nor take care of them. And I wanted lashes that were full more than long. I have been going to B. Boutique in East Milton Square for years for my eyebrow waxes. I had the most disappointing and to be quite honest disrespectful experience there when I went for my eyebrow wax recently. I never ask for a specific esthetician when I call because whoever has waxed my brows over the years has always done a great job. On this particular day, a "B. Artist" by the name of Rose was scheduled to wax my brows. I will be the first to admit - I was a few weeks overdue for the wax as I had been traveling and moving but I was taken aback when Rose looked at my brows and started laughing loudly saying "OH MY GOD! When did you wax these last!?". She then went on to tell me that I really shouldn't wait so long between waxes because "it takes (her) a much longer time to do it when they are this grown in". I'm thinking to myself - Really? I'm pretty sure you're the one who signed up to be an esthetician at a BROW BOUTIQUE and are getting paid for this service. I don't care if it takes you five minutes or five hours but at this moment in time you should be more focused on customer service and your tip, not how long it will take you to do the job. Throughout the course of the waxing she kept leaning over me with her stinky breath telling me to book wax appointments "every two weeks" but I can move the appointment it's just so I won't forget it (makes no sense at all and this woman is seriously crazy if she thinks I am ever receiving another service from her). Then Rose continued to go on and on about how awful my brows are and somewhat shaming me for even coming in (that's how you keep business? I think not!). Overall it was a terrible experience. The wax was sufficient - she sure likes the brow filler because I walked out with eyebrows that were colored almost black so I washed that off in the car. From looking at more recent reviews it looks like customer service is suffering at B. Boutique. This is sad because I used to recommend it to everyone - now I just tell everyone about my horror story with that nightmare Rose . read more

Amazing boutique! Kristen and Danielle have done my eyelash extensions and I absolutely love them. My eyelashes are constantly attracting attention and tons of compliments! :) I've also been back for a spray tan, which Danielle did and it was awesome as well.... I acquired that perfect golden bronzed look within 20minutes! This review is for the spray tan.. not any other services they offer. I went here to get a spray tan which they offer occasionally when they have a woman come in and set up shop in the back to the store. my first experience was better than the second. i liked her and the product she used a lot. So when i got another email saying spray tans were back i immediately called two friends and asked if they wanted to join me. I felt awful when they were both disappointed in their tans. I think maybe the woman was overwhelmed that three of us came in together and maybe felt rushed? but our tans were streaky and unattractive. The price is good - $25, the staff was sweet, they offer a good product line, but i don't think i'll go back for a third tan.. read more

I drive and walk by this place about once a week and have bought a few random products here and there, nothing fantastic. It's cute. But I decided to trust someone else with my eyebrows, something I don't really do. I tend to get a lot of comments about how thick they are and if I really like them that way. I also feel pressured to try a lip wax, which definitely isn't needed. However, B Boutique did a fantastic job. They started just a few minutes late, but I wasn't in a rush. The woman who helped me (Courtney?) was very friendly and I felt comfortable with her. She asked me what I was looking for and told me how she would do them, just clean up my thick brows with a nice arch. It was fast, relatively painless and looked GREAT.
