For what it's worth, it's a fun little hole in the wall "pop up" mini golf located in the basement of Roosevelt Field Mall. And when I say pop up, the holes (27 of them in total) are platforms that are built with wood boards and bumpers. We took a trip over on NYD just for something to do. The location definitely used to be office space, as some of the holes are located in hallways and in small rooms with the doors taken off. My kids had a blast, but probably would not return. Wish I took photos, but the ones that are already here do it justice. read more

The glow in the dark creatures on the walls were fun. Our favorite was the turtle. For the price it was not bad. I came here on a Saturday evening with my son and godson and we had a great time. This was our second time attending and it was even better than the first because we had a better understanding of how the course was set up. I bought this on a Groupon deal (which was really cheap). The guy at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. When I called for help to find my way down to the venue, he was very clear with the instructions. We stayed here for about an hour and 15 minutes, which was just the right amount of time. We could have stayed longer, but it wasn't necessary as we had completed the whole course already. My only critique is that I wished it had the music in each room because some of the rooms were more quiet than others. This may be a preference for some who want more of an intimate setting, but I was looking for a more energetic experience. Youre basically in the basement of the mall area with the lights turned off, smacking a golf ball on a homemade golf course in random rooms sprawled across the area. Unfortunately there was nothing interesting about any of the holes and the whole thing just felt downright ghetto. Wow, I didn't realize there were so many poor reviews. This is an interesting indoor mini golf course conveniently located inside the Roosevelt field mall. This was nice as it beats having to play mini golf outdoors in the scorching heat. However, with that being said, this place is definitely not air-conditioned. Some of the rooms did not have working fans either and after a while, we were starting to get hot. I came here with my dad and family for Father's Day. It wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. Been here a couple of times with the Groupon deals. Came on Saturday each of the times. First 2 times were ok...but recommend you leave the coats in the car. The last time was not good at all. Not sure if the management changed but people at the front desk to check you in were kind of rude. The last 2 times, the staff was friendly and much more helpful. This time we went, 2 holes were closed as they needed to be fixed- Holes 9 and 14. Hole 21 wasn't working properly at all. In addition, the last hole for the prize hole was not available and they didn't explain why when asked. If you want to play all 56 holes, start over from hole 1 (as there are only 28 in total). Parents with party group of the kids run around without watching or managing them as they got in the way of others trying to play the course. Had to ask them to get off the course. Staff didn't care even when right in front of them within the first 3 holes. If anyone has migraines or sensitive to strobe lights, this is not the place for you. The music was blasting really loud at some of the holes. not sure they managed that well either. Don't recall this being an issue the 2 times I was here last year. Note: It gets really warm inside as you go through from section to section. There is no place to check in or hang up your coat. Air conditioning only in a few of the smaller rooms. Needs better or new management and proper upkeep and maintenance if you want people to come and have a good time and come back. read more

Black lights can be a lot of fun. They can also reveal things that you may not want to see...But usually, they'll result in some cool tricks of light and can lend itself well to tentatively fun stuff, like Glow Golf. You'll find this indoor black light mini golf course in the lower regions of Roosevelt Field Mall. Yeah, that area which doesn't have much purpose unless you're looking for a mattress or you need to use the bathroom. It's down on one end and from the moment you walk up you'll be hit with that black light/neon vibe. It's initially exciting for sure, but it'll lose its luster after a few holes. My girlfriend and I had a Groupon which entitled us to two rounds of golf (27 holes per game). We started off and followed the path, going in and out of rooms, up and down hallways, and eventually back out and around the other side of the front desk. Honestly anyone could tell, this area used to be offices. Not much was done to the infrastructure (there are spots with black draping over it) so that odd setup was more annoying than interesting. The holes themselves varied in difficulty level with some little traps thrown in here and there to get in the way of your ball. And like many mini golf setups, your final hole gives you the opportunity to win a free round (we didn't). There were signs all over it too about what constitutes a win and not to do certain things with the ball which had me wondering how rowdy this place is on a Saturday night. Once done, we could've ventured back through for a second round as per our Groupon, but we felt complete. Overall, I still feel pretty complete with the place, that is I don't think I would return. Perhaps an evening out with a few friends and not much to do might warrant a trip here so that slim bit of desire and enjoyment of mini golf (they have that laser maze thing too) knocks this 2.5 experience to a 3 star review. It's maybe worth that one initial trip and a possible return with first timers (Groupon anyone?). Beyond that, black lights can only do so much. read more

Came here with my bf off of a Groupon we had. It is located at the bottom of Roosevelt field mall and was pretty easy to find. We got there an hour before closing and I think we finished one round in less than 20 minutes. It was pretty empty, presumably because it was a poorly constructed course. Normally we would prefer outside but it was our only option. They taped pretty much everything with reflective tape and have some interesting drawings but overall you could tell it was poorly designed. One hole out of 27 I believe was out but there was nothing unique to each hole and by the 13th hole we knew we wouldn't be staying for the 3 games that were included in the Groupon. Finally, my bf stepped in glass on the course which is really dangerous as this is definitely a place where you'd find children. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place. Poorly designed, not fun, dingy and definitely not anything to write home about. read more

Got the Groupon deal for 3 rounds of golf for 2 people : $12. You probably won't go around 3 times, but it is still a good deal for one round of golf, whereas the normal price is $24 for two people. The course is 27 holes, with a prize hole at the end. We didn't win any prizes, but there were prizes available. I have to agree with other yelpers, the course is a bit confusing with some arrows not super clear and going in and out of small rooms. For me, I did everything in order because I paid close attention. But, it wasn't exactly super obvious. A lot of the holes are labeled though, and get progressively harder. We had a groupon to this place, which is the only reason I was willing to try it out. It is a place where many people took their young children to spend an hour or so playing. So if you really want to play mini-golf and don't want to spend your Saturday waiting around, try another place. It was sad layout and very minimal effort put in to make it nice. It is glow-in-the-dark tape on the floors to point you from hole to hole, very tacky. You go from room to room in this old office setup. There are difficult holes scattered in the middle which caused a big build up of people waiting. We just skipped those and moved onto the next one. We bought a Groupon and decided to go on Saturday because it was too cold to take the kids outside to play. We paid for 3 rounds of golf (which all need to be used at the same time) The concept of glow in the dark golf is cool and some of the holes were fun and interesting. A few of them looked hastily and lazily done. It was somewhat hot and stuffy downstairs but they try to air the place out with fans. It's a pretty no frills kind of place. There isn't anywhere to put your coats or bags. I would've hoped for lockers but all they had set up in the front were long folding tables where you could place your coats. We had to carry around our bags so if you come here, don't bring too many belongings. I'm giving this place 3 stars because my kids had a good time but we only played one round out of the three on the Groupon. It just wasn't interesting enough to go another round. read more

Indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf conveniently located in the mall? It's gotta be cool right? And for the most part, the answer is yes. My friends and I stumbled upon this place (how did I not know sooner it was at Roosevelt Field?) thanks to a Groupon that allowed us to get 2 rounds (54 holes) for 4 people for a total of $19 (what a steal for a Saturday night!). I'm definitely a fan of "put-put", and while the concept of this place is great, I feel like more could be done to give this mini golf a bit more of a "wow" factor. In terms of layout, this place is definitely fun but also a bit tricky to navigate. You mostly rely on taped arrows on the ground to take you to your next round. This mini golf replaces what was formerly a Paul Mitchell training studio, and GlowGolf didn't change a thing: the layout follows hallways and enters separate rooms, many of which seem abandoned and untouched but now with some cool glow-in-the-dark paint, black lights and of course mini golf. Again, the concept is very cool, but I feel like more thought could have gone into the layout and the courses themselves. For instance, most mini golf courses increase in level of difficulty. The 27 holes here seem to be in no particular order of difficulty (some in the middle are very simple while others are very challenging). Because the layout is a bit random, we found that people were skipping to the wrong hole. Especially with a birthday party full of kids (there's a separate party room for those interested in hosting events here), we decided to skip some holes to avoid people cutting in front of us. Once the party cleared out, however, we had a much better time and were able to go from one hole to the next at our own pace. In addition to mini golf, GlowGolf also offers a laser challenge room, which essentially allows you to play the part of a spy from an action movie and try to navigate around a series of lasers without triggering the alarm. We watched a few kids try this and it seemed pretty cool for just a few bucks to play! Altogether, I love this concept a lot, but I feel that the darkness of the place enabled the owners to cut costs on execution, which results in what appears to be a lazy layout and setup. Dare I say with the lights on I might not want to return here. Still, fun was had by all and this place should prove to be a great option for the winter when outdoor activities become difficult, especially for kids!! read more

This miniature golf spot just recently opened. Its located on the lower level of the Roosevelt Field Mall. The location is convenient for those shopping and those who may utilize public transportation, like teenagers. Glowgolf is absolutely a fun place for children and families. They also offer birthday party packages at this 52 whole mini course. I was happy that I was able to purchase a Groupon prior to my visit. This is how I learned about this trendy establishment. Glad I did because when I arrived learned they only accepted cash. I mean this day and age with all types of modern technology I was shocked by this. I was also shocked that only one staff member was working on a non-school day. Of course he presented as aggravated playing all positions of running the business. That was unfair to him and the patrons. As I golfed top 40 music played in some areas where the speakers were actually working. All I can really say is this is a new business and they have some room for improvement. The concept is cool and innovative. Most things under a black light seem fun including the laser maze challenge. If your in the mall and need something to do give it a try. Kids love it. Adults just have some patience. Came here with a Groupon as something to do on a random night. Without the Groupon I would definitely say it's not worth it. We did the Laser Maze as well as a round of mini golf. After receiving the two tokens for Laser Maze we found it to be nothing but a short hallway in which you couldn't even see where the lasers were but you can hear the buzzer going off that you hit it. Even the TV on the outside to watch the player is extremely blurry and you can barely see the lines on the TV either. As for the mini golf it was fine. We weren't fully sure of the theme that they were going, Ocean life or outter space? In fact, we kind of kept finding ourselves lost in different rooms that don't seem like they are part of the mini-golf but they are. My husband and I kept thinking, hey this is such a smart business! Why didnt we do this lol? They barely invested any money in the decor or keeping the place clean. I could easily build the gold course with a couple grand and glow paint myself. In fact there were sheets falling down so far that I could see an escalator behind it! They left cabinets that were clearly part of an office that used to be there but arent being utilized by yhe minigolf. We didn't stay for the three rounds that the Groupon offered. Not worth it for us. But if you have kids and nothing to do on a rainy day or summer night this is definitely a spot for them and cheap enough with a deal. It is a fairly challenging course so if you come with young children you will be there for a long time playing one round (which is what happened with us). We got a groupon for this and were pretty excited to bring our kids. When we checked in, the woman behind the desk didn't respond when we said, "hi, how are you?" Instead she stared at us with a scowl. I told her we had a Groupon and she came back with a pen and stood there staring at me without saying a word. I said, "do you need the number?" She kept holding her hand out for my phone, but I held it in my hand and she got annoyed. I started to read her the number and she just kept holding her hand out. Then she interrupted me reading it to say she had to mark it redeemed before she needed the number. So she kept holding her hand out and reaching for my phone while I kept holding it in my hand. As we stood there, her body language got more and more annoyed and her look was shooting daggers at me. After I gave her the number for the third time, she said something while walking away and I couldn't understand her. I said, "I'm sorry, I didn't catch what you said." She handed us two balls, said "the clubs are over there, start at the windmill and follow the arrows," and that was it. She never once smiled. Instead, she made us all uncomfortable and like we were inconveniencing her. We walked in and there was a sign on the windmill saying it was out of order. As we went to move past the windmill, I tripped on black wires in a black environment because there was no indication they were even there. There were no employees walking around to help. People were playing in whatever order they wanted and there was waits for each hole. The music was so loud we had to shout to hear the kids over it. The actual holes had glow paint and were easy to see, but the rest of the room was so dark my kids kept tripping. There were party lights flashing across the dance floor, but it was still difficult to see anything. The place is divided into two sections for the different holes. A lot of people were confused, trying to figure out if they were headed the right way. The hallway to the second set of holes was super narrow and crowded as people backed up to play their turn. We didn't even bother heading to the second section we didn't even bother trying and walked out. read more

As we were playing, you'll get kids running around and standing in the middle of the hole you're playing. Parents need to watch their kids more closely rather than letting them run a muck of the place...this doesn't make it pleasant for other players. Several holes that had moving obstacles (like the windmill) was not working, several holes were closed and cannot be played. Holes needs to be better maintained. Workers at the desk didn't seem to friendly and didn't care. As I was searching for Glow Golf on Yelp...several Monster Mini-golf came up. Think I'll give them a try next time. read more

I don't know what all the negative reviews are about. This place is fine. We had my son's 7th birthday party there and they were great. The course is not taped together. The staff person was very helpful and good and very patient with the kids. Their party room is really big with plenty of tables and chairs, and a speaker you can Bluetooth your own music through, and you have the place for 2 hours. The laser maze was the biggest hit. The price is beyond reasonable and I was so glad to find a place to have a party that wasn't insanely expensive. All the parents were very pleased with the venue and didn't even know it was there. I'm not sure what people are expecting out of a mini golf course at a mall, but do not be deterred by the bad reviews. Definitely check them out! read more

For $12 you are promised 54 holes of glow in the dark mini golf, except there's only 27 holes - they want you to play twice! It is extremely unsafe. There is no air conditioning, just loud fans blowing dust all over the place. Saying that the room was dirty is an understatement. There is no turf, just wooden boxes. First things first, this spot is located in Roosevelt Field on the lower level so, it is pretty well situated if you are already in the mall. My bf and I took our children there (1 under 5 and 1 teenager) Now for the bad, which is pretty much the rest of the review. When you walk in, you already know that you made a mistake. It seems to be a place that was put together quickly in order to make money. The mini golf itself is pretty ghetto as the decorations on the walls and at the actual holes looks like it was painted by 3-4th grader. Not to mention each hole was poorly constructed with bad angles and lineups that made no sense. Many of the holes were constructed with multiple layers of duct tape. The layout of the golf was weird as well. You think you are finished when you complete hole 8-9 (there are 27 holes in total) but, arrows and signs made out of oaktag tell you to go further into the back of the building. These are basically old hallways and smaller rooms which must have been offices at one point. Because of all the glow in the dark lighting, the hallways look like they came out of the Shining. It can get pretty warm back there but, they make sure to keep you comfortable with desktop fans which are attached to the walls. Bottom line, the kids had fun but, I would not go back. My girlfriend and I wanted to try the laser game he told us that the fog machine wasn't working so it's harder to see the lasers. We bought 2 games each. We started the game went in, you could NOT see the lasers AT ALL. We didn't even play the game as it was IMPOSSIBLE to see the lasers. We told him. Went to this place on a date with my boyfriend and we were very disappointed. As big fans of mini golf, we've been to plenty all over the island. This place comes in last. But if i could give it negative stars, that would be the best. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We wanted to do the laser room, so we bought 4 tokens, which were on sale for 1$ each because the attendant said that the fog machine isn't working so you can't see the lasers as well as you normally can, but that you can still play. We went in, and it was literally an empty room, we couldn't see anything at all, couldn't play at all. There were no lasers working at all. So 30seconds later we walked out and told him. He was so rude and said no refunds and that "kids have been playing in there all day". I told him we cannot see a thing, it's an empty room and there's literally nothing we can even do. He didn't care, and was ignoring us looking away as we were speaking. As a manager myself, that is unacceptable. Especially for a new business. Instead of having a leisurely time enjoying yourself playing minigolf, you will be sweating and be begging to finish the course and get out.
