I came in as someone who has lost 130 pounds and has been consistently maintaining a structured routine: approximately 1700 calories per day, around 170g of protein, weightlifting 3-4 times per week, and daily walking. This approach has clearly been effective and sustainable for me. During my consultation, I was told that based on my resting metabolic rate (~1600), I should be eating around 1100 calories per day. When I explained my current intake and results, I was met with visible shock and told, "that's why people don't lose weight." I found this response not only dismissive, but concerning. Recommending an intake significantly below resting metabolic rate especially to someone of my height (5'11") and activity level raises serious concerns about sustainability and overall health. After the appointment, I followed up with my physician, as well as a certified nutrition professional I've previously worked with, both of whom confirmed that this recommendation was not appropriate. I understand that different providers may have different approaches, but presenting extremely low caloric intake as a standard solution, and doing so with a high level of confidence when challenged, is something I feel potential clients should be aware of. Given my experience, I will not be returning. I hope this feedback encourages a more individualized and evidence-based approach for future clients.

However, for almost a month now, I've been calling repeatedly and have been unable to reach anyone. No one has answered my calls, returned my voicemails, or provided any updates. I even drove to the office during business hours, only to find the building closed. I'm not someone who likes leaving negative reviews because I understand every business faces challenges. But the complete lack of communication after taking a customer's money is incredibly unprofessional. At the very least, patients deserve an update about what's going on and when they can expect to be contacted or refunded if necessary.
