I received laser hair removal at this spa about a year ago on multiple areas of my body, including my face (chin area). I want to be transparent that the results on my body were effective and I was satisfied with those areas. However, I had a very different experience with my chin. At the time of treatment, I only had a small amount of fine hair in that area that I wanted to address. Months after completing treatment, I noticed increased hair growth in that same area, and the hair appeared thicker and coarser than before. I brought my concerns to management and was heard, but I was told this can happen and that continued treatment would be needed. I understand that results can vary and that side effects like paradoxical hypertrichosis (increased hair growth in treated areas) are a known risk with laser hair removal. To have a professional in management take no accountability is extremely disappointing. My main concern is that I did not feel this potential outcome was clearly explained to me during my in-person consultation in a way that prepared me for this possibility. While it may have been included in paperwork, it was not emphasized in discussion before treatment. Overall, I am disappointed with my results specifically on my chin area. The body treatments were successful for me, but I would personally caution others to make sure they fully understand all potential risks and outcomes before proceeding with facial laser hair removal. I am beyond devastated by my experience at Glow Med Spa with Linda. I have been painstakingly growing out my eyebrows for a long time, and in one face session, Linda "zapped" the length of my brow, significantly reducing them. What makes this worse was the complete lack of professionalism and honesty during the service: * When I felt the zap and told her she hit my hair, she claimed it was just the spatula used to cover the brow. * I asked for a mirror to see the damage myself. It might not look like a "huge" spot to a stranger, but the shape is compromised and it feels terrible. .The manager came in and was initially incredibly rude, dismissively saying, "I honestly can't make out the difference." To have a professional minimize the damage they caused to a client's face is unacceptable. It took her a while to finally say she's sorry about what happened. Till then it was about how the hair will grow back, we can't do anything now. They offered me two free treatments as compensation, but after the way I was treated and the lack of skill shown. Needless to say I am terribly shaken and upset with what has happened and thankful that my brows are on the thicker side - i dread to think if she got the center of my brow how I'd have felt . I'm honestly so disappointed that I re-signed up for a package plan, especially after the last experience I had. When I arrived for my appointment, another woman and I parked and opened our doors at the same time. She seemed to be in a rush, and it turns out she was late--15 minutes past her appointment time. Meanwhile, I arrived early, about two minutes before my scheduled time. But instead of honoring that, they took her back first. The grace period is eight minutes, so she was clearly past that. I was left waiting while they serviced someone who should've been asked to wait instead. When I finally went in, I expressed my frustration to my esthetician. But rather than waiting until I left, they went straight to the front and started talking about it while I was still checking out. That felt so unprofessional and disrespectful. I left expecting a manager to follow up with me--but no one did. The only call I received the next day was someone asking if I wanted to book another appointment. Not a word of acknowledgment or apology for what happened. Just straight to business. And to top it off, when I first walked in, the receptionist didn't greet me with water or even a cappuccino offer. Instead, the first thing she asked was if I wanted to pay off my $200 package. I hadn't even had my services yet. Then, after waiting 25 minutes past my appointment time, I had to be the one to ask how much longer it would be. That's when they finally told me there was only one room available. But no one communicated that earlier. No one checked in. I just sat there waiting, feeling completely disregarded. I truly wish there was another location I could go to, because the lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic communication here is frustrating beyond words. read more

I get laser hair removal for Brazilian and underarms. Each one of the technicians I've had has been fantastic. My favorite one thus fur has been Amanda. She is so knowledgeable about skin textures, and ways to obtain perfect smooth Barbie skin. They actually assess your skin type and decide which machine would be better for you.
