I contacted this groomer based on their reviews and they sent a subcontractor with only a 3.8 review!!!! We used this mobile grooming service for a routine appointment. During the nail trim, the groomer cut our dog's nails too short, resulting in significant and prolonged bleeding. This was not a minor nick. The bleeding was substantial and not handled appropriately on-site, which is especially concerning given this was a mobile groomer operating independently. We documented the injury with photos. We contacted the company to report what happened. Their response was to characterize the incident as an "inconvenience" and offer a $25 discount, while stating the service had been "completed as requested." There was no acknowledgment of the severity of the injury, no accountability, and no indication of corrective action. For clarity: this was an avoidable injury during a basic service, followed by a dismissive response. We will not be returning. read more

So happy I found Glow Grooming! I just got my rescue pup, Lady, about 6 weeks ago and she's usually fearful of new situations + this was my 1st time getting her groomed, so I figured a mobile groomer was the way to go. I decided to give them a try after reading their Yelp reviews & reviewing their price menu. We worked with Sam who is wonderful! As with most new people, Lady barked at him when first meeting, but he was calm, patient, and gentle and she quickly settled down. Sam was very professional, worked quickly but efficiently, and even asked me to come out to the van before he finished to make sure I was happy with her groom. He made the few changes I asked for and told me she was calm the whole time, which really speaks to his work! Sam shared with me that he started grooming when he was in the Brazilian Army, where he served for 6 years, and that he came to the States to continue his work as a groomer. Sam was great! He listened to my instructions on how I would like my dog's hair to be cut since I had a bad experience with a previous groomer. Grooming mini schnauzers can be a bit tricky because they have a certain look. Luckily, Sam followed my instructions & we're all very satisfied with the outcome. The groomer arrived early which I appreciated. He asked about my cat's temperament, and said that he wanted to make sure he didn't bite or scratch. My cat is not a biter or a scratcher but he talks and cries a lot when uncomfortable. I completely understand that, however a red flag for me was that he said he didn't like cats. It reflected while my cat was being bathed, there was a lot of force used to increase the suds and the face was washed in a way where water got into my cat's ears. The groomer did not have any cat specific gear to be used during the drying process, so I had to go inside and make a makeshift head covering for my cat so that he could be dried. I ultimately ended the drying process early because my cat was growing increasingly uncomfortable and anxious, and I could sense the frustration of the groomer. I specifically paid for the extra care add-on and it did not reflect in the care of my cat. I needed my cat to be bathed because of an accident he was in, and I am no longer living in a place where I can do it myself, which is why I booked the service. I'm sure that Glow is great with dogs, however the care and attention that cats need (which is specifically different than dogs) while being groomed was not reflected in the services provided today. read more

It was also reassuring that Bear did not put up a fuss when he met Zildo, the groomer. It was as if having someone bathe him was such a been-there, done-that event in Bear's life, although this was the first time we used a professional groomer. We received good feedback from Zildo about Bear's behavior, which was so in keeping with Bear when he's around us - gentle dog but does not like his nails cut, his ears touched nor using the blow dryer.
