My husband and I decided to go to Glow Candle Lounge for my birthday and we had a blast! There are a ton of fun candle shapes choose from plus a bunch of fun shapes and add ons. The staff is warm, friendly and very helpful in explaining the process. While it was a little pricey once you start adding all the extras, it is so worth it to bring home the final product. The staff even helped my husband find Halloween pieces in JUNE to make a Halloween candle. I can't wait to go back.

I came here for a team building event with my work colleagues and had an amazing experience. The staff were very helpful and patient. The value for the experience in relation to the price was definitely worth it. There were multiple colors, sizes, shapes, and accessories that were available to create your own candle. I'm planning to return on my own time and share my experience with friends and family.

I highly recommend this candle-making activity; it's not only a fun experience but also a perfect date night idea. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, taking the time to explain the candle-making process thoroughly. You can choose your mold, fragrance, and decorative pieces. The candle molds range in price from $6 upwards, and the cost is $19 per adult, covering the supplies, color, fragrance, wick, wax ect. Our finished candles were ready for pick up the next day and turned out beautifully.

My friends took me here to celebrate an early birthday. It was just the 3 of us and we walked in. The staff explained to us how it worked, walked us to each station and explained all of the steps. You would choose your mold (each priced differenty depending on size and shape), little wax shapes to add into your mold and scents. We were seated and we were given a tray to put our items we wanted for our candle. Once you are done with choosing your items, you would walk your tray up to the counter to let them know. We were told to go back to our table and a staff member will come by to explain the next step. FYI, you would pay for everything at the end because they need to add up the different prices (such as which candle mold) and other fees. Apparently there is a sitting fee? FYI, it takes about two days until you can pick up your finished candle. However, you can pay a fee to have it expedited to pick up day of. The experience of making the candle was really fun, but it was pretty pricy in my opinion. It's definitely a nice, fun activity to do. Would I go again? Hm, maybe if it were to celebrate something or if someone else wanted to give it a try.

Love the experience here! Very customizable to creating your desired candles in different shapes and color blocks. My friend brought me here for the first time and it is very hands on where we have to chop down the wax, pick cute charms on top and the scent for the candle. I definitely will be back to create more candles! This time we used both duck and frog charms (they are drinking boba next to a Christmas tree) for the winter theme since we did it in December~~

This was the cutest date night idea! I had so much fun letting my creative juices flow and making my own candle. The atmosphere is so relaxing and I loved the dim lighting. There's no way the candles are worth $50 each but the experience and quality time is! The candles don't smell like anything even though we picked out scents... The staff was very kind and helpful throughout the process.

Pre-made design options (2 of these towers) had dogs, leafs, stars, clouds, cactus, animals, moons, and more!

Highly recommend! What a fantastic location with plenty of metered parking at Willow Glen (gorgeous neighborhood) surrounded by great restaurants. Came here for a coworkers surprise bridal shower and had reservations prepared for Friday evening. We were able to set up a table for small bites and the service was just top notch. The team talks you through what to expect, what you'll need and how to get started on making your own personal candle. Our package included ant candles under $19 and if you pick a larger candle, you can simply pay the difference. Very well organized spot with plenty of color selections including free pre-made designs to add into your candle. Loved the scent collection as well. Highly recommend, so much fun and great for groups. I can see myself going back solo enjoying a candle making session to decompress.

Made a reservation for two on a Saturday and it was pretty busy in there! I love the array of sizes and shapes, pips, and scents they have. We were given a tour on the process of making a candle, picked out our PIPs (pre-designed shapes to add into your candle), color blocks, and scents. We spent almost 3 hours in here! It was a great experience! Highly recommend for solo dates, hangouts, and first dates :)

This place was so much fun!! The staff were very nice and friendly. They had a very large selection of scents and many candle shapes to choose from.

10/10 experience, I can't wait to come g! Such a cute little date idea and it was so fun. My boyfriend and I chose a yin yang candle which ended up being around $53 with their Tuesday deal (half off studio fee for 2 people). We liked how the yin and yang breaks into two separate candles! I enjoyed the whole process, from choosing the candle shape, the colors and decorations, the scents, and cutting the blocks to fill the candle. They suggested the process would take a little over 30-45 minutes, but time went by so fast for us we ended up spending about 1.5 hours. Kims and Ana were super kind and helpful, they explained the process easily and answered all of our questions. The store is also kept clean and you can see all these different candles people have made for inspiration!

I've been here once before and enjoyed the experience. It was my birthday and I thought it would be fun to make a candle with my family! We were greeted and sat right away. The associate gave us a run down of the process and how to pick out our stencils, colors, scents and any extras. They have a lot of colors and different shapes and scents to choose from so it can be a little overwhelming so giving us the guidance was very helpful! I opted for a flower and wanted to do a summer type candle while my mom and sister chose a heart and star shape. When we were done cutting up our wax pieces we took our candles to the front where they added our scent and glitter which we all wanted. Overall, we had a great time and the total was about $150 for three candles plus our extras. Love this spot and will be back for another girls day!

A very cute place and love the business idea. Their service is also very good and friendly; they are patient in explaining what we need to do step by step. You first pick a mold and they set out the candle size with price tag, then you pick the small wax pieces with shapes to use to glue to the side of the candle, whether inside or outside. (They'll help you glue to the outside if you tell them). And you pick the color of the inside filling, they are bigger square pieces, and you'll use their tools to cut them into smaller pieces, break them apart and fill in the middle of the mold. There are also a ton of small cute decoration pieces to choose to add to the top of the candle. Once you finished filling in the candle and gluing the sides, you can pick a scent and then take it to the assistants. They will pour hot wax to the inside of the mold to hold all small pieces together. They will also add essence based on your choice and also go through the candle top decoration ideas including where to position the little pieces and adding sparkles. It takes a day to finish the candle and pick up is next day or as late as 30 days after. This is a great idea to a hand made gift or just some bonding time doing arts. The studio fee is $14 per adult and $12 per kid. Then the candle is depending on size and decoration options.

I made a reservation for 2 people on a Sunday to start at the time they open (11AM). I love that there's a free parking garage right next to the Jamba Juice. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the staff, put our stuff down at our reserved table, and they walked us through the process explaining everything in detail. If you've ever been to Petroglyph (their sister ceramic painting studio), it's essentially the same concept. There's a $14 studio fee which is the price you pay to use the studio and all of the supplies (including unlimited wax tiles and shapes). Then, you choose what candle shape you want to make, and you can make as many as you want the whole time you're there. Each type of candle has their own price, so keep that in mind. It's very reasonable in my opinion since it's fully customizable (candle shape, wax color, wax shapes, wax filling, scent, and toppers) and such a fun activity to do with friends or family. There were people of all ages making candles and a kid's birthday party the day we went. I love that you can bring in your own food and drinks! We brought boba and pastries with us and it was a good time! My friend and I each made one big candle for ourselves and a small one to give to each other. My favorite parts were cutting up the wax tiles and decorating the sides with their fun shapes. Very therapeutic and relaxing. When you're done filling your candle mold with the cut up wax, you bring it to the counter where the staff will add in your chosen scent and pour in the hot wax filling. If you wanted to add any extra toppers, let them know. We did without them. Our candles were ready for pick up the next day and they turned out so cute! We had such an amazing time making candles that I want to take it up as a hobby! :) I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much, Glow Candle Lounge!

So I'm on a mad search for some copal to burn in place of frnakinsense and myrrh to show the kids of my church something close to what the mythical magi brought to baby Jesus. It has to be real copal (or real fankinsence/myrrh) as I'm allergic to chemical scenting agents. I look all over the internet and find web based stores, but no brick & mortars in the south bay and I need it in 2 days. I put out two different talk threads on yelp to try to get some advice, but hors go by with no response...So I begin calling around to stores I see on the web, but who don't have internet sites. I call a couple who do not have copal and then hit Santa Josefina. So I get into my car and take the 15 mile treck from work to this store. I drove past it once because there is no outside sign saying "Santa Josefina," and there is no address printed on the building. On my second pass I deduced that since the building on one side was two numbers higher and the one of the other side 2 numbers lower that this must be it. I found parking a block away and as I approached I knew I was in the right place. I saw every order of Catholic Saint and ritual items. The sales clerk (owner?) was sitting somewhat in the back of the store. I told her that I need copal and she says, "Oh, yes." Then I notice that she has frankincense and myrrh. So I buy all three. She kindly tells me that she has sage, too, which is good for smuding at the New Year, but I tell her I have some at home. I ask if she'll take a check and she says, charmingly, "As long as it won't bounce. I stopped taking checks for a while, you know how it is." I assured her that it won't bounce. The neghborhood and store have lots of things that typical WASPY protestants (as I can seem) would not recognize and might make some less open people uncomfortable. But she was the nicest person and very helpful. She was happy that she had what I needed and said she looks forward to seeing me again. This may very well become a regular place for me to seek out ritual items. And the cross-cultural experience makes it that much more charming to me.
