First time that my boyfriend and I visited this location. We originally stopped by for happy hour. Online they mention discounted drinks. They also mentioned discounted food. When we arrived at the restaurant, they told us they do not offer any discounted food for happy hour. I did order the sangria, which was absolutely Wonderful and a very large portion. They were OK. I ordered a burger chop salad. I have ordered this many times and in different locations and states. Never have I had the burger, chopped up and mixed with the salad. The burger was ice cold and it wasn't cooked to what I wanted, which was medium. And overall, I just couldn't eat it. I was thinking of sending it back, but our waitress was definitely busy and a tad overwhelmed. I thought I could eat it, but it really wasn't What I wanted. The pieces of hamburger were small and I would doubt that an entire burger was in my salad. The bar was definitely full during happy hour which ends at 6 PM. I'm not sure we would go back other than for drinks. I did ask for bread with my salad and the waitress was nice enough to suggest we could get a basket of rolls. This place has really gone downhill in both customer service and quality. One of the female bartenders was lifting her shirt, touching her body, and putting her hands inside the back of her jeans, never once washing her hands afterward. Food sat out because the bartenders weren't paying attention. They're very friendly to the regulars, but their facial expressions toward anyone who isn't a regular saids it all. We love having a great neighborhood spot that's not pretentious or pricey, where we feel comfortable and at home. The food is always hot and fresh, and served quickly. I met a large group of friends at this location for a Saturday luncheon and was pleasantly surprised. We were all seated in a private room with several waitresses assigned to our group. This turned out to be extremely helpful due to a large group of other customers watching the college football games in the main area. The fall menu included a new set of appetizers - and several friends and I chose the four sliders topped with fried crispy onion pieces, which was a perfect portion for lunch now and some to take home, in theory. Possibly due to 42 orders hitting the kitchen at once, we all found the quality was not great. My sliders seemed to be overcooked, and one friend's order undercooked, so there wasn't consistency in the food. It was an amazing dining experience from beginning to end! Initially greeted at the door by two amazing hostess with the mostess (Leann & Megan). Our server was Kellie who accommodated us with all food and drink specials. We both tried the Haddock (Blackened) with shrimp! It was amazingly delicious! The Back-house Manager, Josh came to our table because the broccoli was too crunchy or not cooked enough. However, he quickly expedited a new order cooked to perfection. The managing partner, George did an excellent job with engagement by visiting each table checking on everyone's dining experience. He even stopped by our table and offered us the Rookie Sampler to try during our first visit. We loved it! The restaurant atmosphere was excellent with friendly people! A few moments after that our server, who had been serving the table right next to ours just a few minutes earlier, can over and said sorry I didnt see you there. There were three of us. We ordered at that point and waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. After 45 minutes our food arrived and was inedible. My son got the chicken philly, which was good, but our two burgers were beyond undercooked and our buns were so wet from the undercooked meat they couldn't be handled. Went to this Glory Days New Tampa location during happy hour. Was expecting a crowd but only about 8 tables were filled. Was greeted by the when she opened the door for us and was asked where did we pwrfwr to sit. That was nice. Our waitress took our drink order quickly and was pleased by the large $5 margarita. (Usually $6 during non summer time). 1st drink I thought it wasn't strong enough. After the 1st sip of the 2nd one, I felt it. My past visits to Glory Days in New Tampa have always been enjoyable and filled with good food. In my last review for this restaurant, I mentioned a difficulty in telling the difference between the regular burger and their proprietary blend meat that up charges for $1.50. Manager Jorge Hernandez reached out to me regarding that comment and offered to do a side-by-side comparison. This review is about that experience. My brother and I went over to Glory Days for dinner Friday night. The place was busy. People were waiting inside and outside for a table. We were told our wait was about 15-20 minutes. We ordered a drink from the bar and ventured outside. By the time we finished our drinks, a table had opened up. A little sooner than expected. We took a seat and our server Taylor was around shortly. Funny enough, Taylor was our server last time we were in. She was familiar with my brother's antics but she was super friendly. We asked for managing partner, or head coach as the sign says above the door, Jorge Hernandez. We had light conversation with Jorge and we discussed my last yelp review. For the comparison, I ordered two All-American Cheeseburgers. One regular and one with the proprietary blend meat. I wanted them as plain as I could since the comparison was about the taste of the meat. There was only cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles on them. I ordered both cooked medium. When the burgers arrived, they look pretty similar. The proprietary blend burger is definitely thicker. You get more meat for the $1.50. I cut both burgers in-half to get a full look at them. The first thing I noticed is that the regular burger was much more pink on the inside. Since the proprietary option is a blend of high quality meats, it cooks differently and you can tell by looking at it. What I didn't expect is that they actually DO taste different. The regular burger, while excellent, had a traditional burger taste. I could taste the seasoning, the char from cooking, the complete burger as one with the toppings. It meshed. It was good and there was still that beef flavor in there but not prominent in a sense. The proprietary blend burger has a whole other level to it. The meat in this burger has it's own flavor. A richer, deeper flavor that you notice. It sticks out. It's a blend of brisket, chuck, sirloin and short rib. The burger is bigger, meatier and tasty. It seems to cook a little more through at the medium temperature than the regular burger. It was still pink in the middle but not as much. You'll see in my photos. All in all, I'd say if you're trying to decide on upgrading to the proprietary blend, do it. It's worth it. On top of the burger experience, Jorge also whipped up some off the menu drinks, Pickle-tinis, a suggestion from my brother. It's a simple mix of Tito's and pickle juice. My brother is a connoisseur of the pickle-tini and said this one hit the spot. The customer service we experienced here is not a one time thing. Living nearby, we visit this Glory Days location often. Majority of the time, we run into neighbors also having a laid back dinner in this fun environment. Every single time we are here, the conversation turns to how great the staff and Jorge is. Jorge is a manager that is driven to ensure patrons are happy with their experience at his Glory Days location. That support he offers shines through in his employees, all of which have been welcoming and personable. My brother and I thoroughly enjoy visiting this Glory Days location and we will definitely be back soon. If you're in the area, you should stop by too. read more

8/28/23 - I don't particularly like sports bars as I find activity on the many large screens detract from my interaction with people at my table. This was a pick of the friend I was meeting. While I'd never been in this chain, I was greeted promptly and like a friend. I was prepared to sit at the front and wait for my companion, however, the hostess insisted I should be more comfortable and was escorted to a booth. At 1pm it wasn't particularly busy, but I had seen quite a number of people leave as I was coming in. My friend arrived shortly there after, but Katie M had already brought menus and said she'd bring water. They have specials each day and since the sign at the door indicated it was $10 burger day, I expected that would be my choice. The menu however had a wider variety of options than I anticipated. Ultimately I decided on the bourbon BBQ ribs. One pound, with sides of broccoli and mac & cheese for under $20. I couldn't pass that up, even knowing there was no way I was going to be able to finish it. My lunch partner selected the smoked turkey and bacon sandwich that I had also seriously been considering. Our food arrived quickly. Both orders looked amazing and being hungry we dug in, so I didn't get photos. The ribs were moist and easily came off the bone. The rub and bourbon sauce used were wonderful. My husband is not particularly a bourbon fan, but really enjoyed the left overs! The broccoli was still warm and firm rather than mushy. I didn't find the Mac&cheese sauce as smooth as I hoped but still polished it off as it was very tasty. The sandwich was on toast and stuffed thickly with the smoked turkey and bacon. My friend was full after just half with some of the fries. So while not my favorite type of venue and the constant motion on the screens was distracting, it was a very good meal and I would come back again. read more

Updating my review from 2 stars to 3 stars based on my latest experiences. Service is usually average. They get you seated fairly quickly but the wait staff can sometimes be slow to visit for the first time & slow to check on you during the meal. This may be due to staffing levels but there is sometimes a lack of attention. Food experience has also improved. Normally go with a burger. Usually a good bet lately ... Sports games are always readily available especially in the main bar area. Outdoors they have seating with big TVs too. read more

This sports bar and restaurant is right off I-75 on the North side of Tampa. Kind of a Chili's but with unique benefit of television monitors all around to chat games. The manager and servers all sweep by tables proactively to ensure we were happy with our visit. The manager even spent time at our table asking how things were going. I preference the four star review by saying "have realistic expectations and you'll be good". What I mean is that Glory Days is not a Michelin star restaurant and so we need to remember to keep our expectations in line with what is being offered. Glory Days is a good, inexpensive, local place to go when you feel like having some bar food and relaxing. We love the outdoor setup and how close it is to home. With that said, the food is ok, it's not over the top and we have gone back many times. We keep our order modest, pretzel bites (by far our favorite), nachos, burgers, and tacos. Recently I had a kale salad with filet and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks are solid and the service is, most days, good. This was my first time ever going to this place. It was a Friday night last minute moms night out. We arrived after 9pm it wasn't crowded at all and opted for first come first serve outside seating. I want to start off by saying they have $5 margaritas and not just any margarita a big 24 ounce margarita! my first thought when it got to the table was "wow these other places could never!" The margarita was very good and had a generous amount of alcohol. You can add a flavor (I chose strawberry) to it for .99 cents. The margarita was definitely my favorite part of my visit. For my meal I had the Monte Cristo which is a dish I've been wanting to try for a while now. The sandwich was served cut into four big pieces and it came with waffle fries. It also came with some sort of jam which really tied it all together. I would definitely eat it again maybe venture out and order it at other places. The downside to my trip and the reason for my rate of 3 stars I would say was the lack of service. We were seated for quite some time before we even got a menu then waited a while longer for the server to come take our orders. Once we were done eating it took even longer for us to get our checks. So long in fact I went inside to ask someone to bring us our check which is surprising because again it was a pretty slow evening.
