    Garden Salad and BLT Sandwich
    Cassondra C.

Every time I go to globe market the food is delicious. It's always fresh and the portion is great. Sometimes the staff aren't very friendly though...more than once this has happened which made me a little turned off from the place so I just take the food to go. But homemade food and healthy food at that is hard to come by these days so I'll take the attitude for some good food.

Caprese sandwich in the back, Chipotle Turkey Sandwich in the front!

Still one of my favorite delis Must get the balsamic vinaigrette whenever possible and on everything Best salad ever with the Balsamic vinegarette - love the candied nuts!! They aren't stingy with the toppings either! Love the chipotle turkey sandwich Love the caprese sandwich, especially since it has the secret sauce on it (the balsamic vinegarette!!) Will be back as often as I can

Perfect lunch. Gazpacho and pasta salad.

This market is really nice in a sweet old house (old) in Elmwood village. I love Gazpacho and the wonderful thing about it is that everyone has their own version. Here is is peppery and chock full of fresh crunchy veggies. It was served with bread and roll for dipping. I got a side of pasta salad with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes; nice balance of fresh and dried herbs and garlic and the pasta was a perfect Al Dante. It was served in acute vintage bowl. I saw other amazing looking dishes of sandwiches and salads coming out to the very pleasant outdoor seating area. Very casual cozy feel. Had a challenge with the bathroom door; they need a handy person to fix and it could be cleaner.

I've eaten here quite a few times over the years. It's a hit or miss spot for me, but today it was a total hit! They offer several different salads, sandwiches, and wraps. They also have a nice selection of pasta salads, baked goods, and their drink coolers are nicely stocked with cool teas! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant itself is so cute. I love sitting on their patio during the summer months - the mismatched tables and chairs give the place so much character! Today I got a Greek salad with chicken and I loved it. The salad was pretty big and it came with their Greek dressing, I don't know what was in it but it had a strong olive flavor. I'm not the biggest olive fan but it was still pretty tasty! In the past, I've had things I liked and other things I really wasn't a fan of. I wouldn't recommend their Thai chicken wrap, but their BLT is insanely good. You'll have to stop at the Globe Market yourself to see if you're a fan! I can't wait to come back and try more.

Half Roast Turkey 1/2 Sandwich and 1/2 House Salad Combo

This meal was amazing. The salad was the perfect combo of goat cheese, dried apricot and cranberries and candid nuts. There was so much topping each bite was delicious and filled with flavor. The sandwich is also the best flavor combo of turkey, sage derby cheese and cranberry chutney mayo. I got the sandwich on a baguette which made it a little harder to eat but there's a ton of different bread options. Overall 10/10 as a lunch option. I'm drooling thinking of my next meal already

This cafe has delicious ready-made food in their cases but also makes food to order as well. We went in and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and the soup + 1/2 salad combo. It took about 10-15 minutes for us to get our food. The grilled cheese sandwich isn't your ordinary grilled cheese (they don't use cheddar cheese) and it comes with tortilla chips. The tomato bail soup came with a slice of sourdough(?) bread and was very flavorful. I chose the Caesar salad as the side salad and it was LOADED with Parmesan cheese. The vibe inside is pretty cozy and it's definitely a cute cafe to come in for lunch.

Stopped in for some lunch yesterday and I ordered the chipotle turkey sandwich and a bowl of their thai carrot soup. They were both pretty good with yummy crunch bread for the sandwich and a slice of soft wheat bread for the soup. Both were very flavorful and fresh and you can appreciate that in today's busy restaurants. I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was super good as well. The staff were very friendly and the place itself was a blast playing some seriously great 90's rock music the entire time. They've got lots of seating indoors and an outdoor patio with even more seating for nicer weather. This is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner and I'll be back to try them again sometime!

If the whole store was made of gold, it would be the Golden Globe Market. Boom. My very good friend worked here for a long time, he has since moved to Asheville. My dreams of dating him have now turned to Ashe. But I Ville be okay. The sandwiches here are pretty good. I'm not sure I'd give them 5 stars even if they were cheap, but they're really not. Not even Hertel cheap. And I don't enjoy them as much as the Hangover at Joe's or a Prosciutto sandwich at Caruso's. So for that reason I'll stick with a 4. Wonderful service though and all kinds of goodies in here in addition to sandwiches. Really lovely "new age" decor too. I appreciate it. They have salads and vegan stuff and soups too, all pretty decent. Not amazing. Anyone that sells anything with Cranberry Mayo is probably a little too hipster for my tastes. It's not that I'm biased. I just don't love the taste of the food at places like this, as much as my 5 star places.

I absolutely love Globe! I came here far more frequently when I lived in the Elmwood Village, but I still enjoy a nice lunch here when I am in the area. How it works: -Go up to the counter, place your order and pay -They give you a little marker for your table -choose a table either indoors or in their gorgeous, sunny and colorful courtyard -your order is brought out to you when it is ready -enjoy the best lunch ever There honestly is not a bad thing on their menu. My favorite option is the choose two, because you get the most bang for your buck and you get to taste more things. You get your choice of two of the following: half a sandwich, soup, salad. You get your choice of any of the two you pick. My favorite sandwiches include the caprese and the grilled brie and apple. My husband lives for their roast beef sandwich, which also has brie and apple on it. For salads, I recommend the spinach. Spinach, blue cheese crumbles, mandarin oranges, walnuts and it comes with the most delicious dressing you have ever tried in your entire life. Magical dressing. This most recent trip, I also chose a rhubarb lemonade from the drink case and it was amazing. Homemade, the perfect balance of sweet and tart. They also have a deli case with salads of all kinds, desserts, etc that you can order as well. Then after you have your meal, peruse the shelves inside for things to take home. Cute gifts, jams, household décor, you name it. Definitely my favorite deli in the area!

Living down the street from a place like Globe Market is pretty nice, It's the perfect place to stop in for a quick sandwich, wrap, or even a treat. I stopped in here on Saturday for an early dinner and was relieved to see the place was empty. The menu is mostly sandwiches, salads and wraps and gives you a nice healthy selection to choose from. I decided to go with the Thai chicken wrap because, well, I love Thai chicken wraps. The place itself is super nice and well decorated. There are tables pretty much everywhere, both inside and outside, and a wide array of wall art and flags to keep your eyes busy. The food didn't take very long to come out and my expectations were soon let down. The Thai chicken wrap was not necessarily bad, but it sure was boring. I'm not sure what kind of sauce they were actually using but it wasn't very strong and mostly just tasted like the vegetables. My main problem actually comes from the chicken kind of looking and tasting like it came from a can. I didn't hate the wrap and I would like to try more things on the menu before deciding if I'll keep coming back or not, but I have hope that maybe it was just a fluke. Overall, Globe Market is a nice little place to stop at for lunch and eat healthy. On top of food they also offer some home made juices for only $2 (the lemonade is delicious). I'll definitely be stopping by in the future and giving some more food a try!

Stopped by to escape a rainy day on Elmwood. This cozy little cafe is perfect! They have a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts available. I had the Globe Combo- grilled brie and apple with a sub of a savory salad - the caprese! It was SO good. We also had sambousik, which were delicious and they heated them up for us. Pro-tip: get them when they are there because they are RARE! It is a great healthy option. The prices are $$ if you're willing to treat yourself. It's worth it every once and a while. Smaller portion sizes, but full plate serving (see image). I love the concept of this cafe, it's homey and great to meet with people.

Globe catered at our office and everything was excellent. The salads come with tasty dressings and toppings, but the container of cheese to sprinkle on the salads was melted so I couldn't use it. The Swedish meatball soup had some great flavors and the Mac and cheese was so delicious.

Confession: Despite living in the area, I haven't been to Globe Market very often. I'm embarrassed to admit that I've actually been to the Panera across the street more frequently (but, in my defense, I had a Panera gift card to use up some of those times). But I swear I'm going to get my act together and make this my primary Elmwood establishment when I want a sandwich. I've enjoyed the caprese and grilled veggie sandwiches here, and there are a number of other vegetarian-friendly options on the menu. My husband keeps gravitating towards the roast turkey sandwich, which includes sage derby cheese and cranberry chutney mayo. The full sandwich orders come with some tortilla chips and a pickle wedge. Of the desserts, I've only had a slice of chocolate cream pie here once, which satisfied a sweet craving I was having, but the other desserts in the case always look tempting. Service has always been friendly, and although there have always been other customers dining in, we've never had an issue with finding a place to sit. Now that I've sworn on Yelp to come here more often, I guess I have to live up to my word!

It's situated in two old industrial buildings and the outdoor area behind and between them on Chandler Street off Military Cutoff. There is a super cool variety of ultra-local stuff from independent merchants: dumplings, coffees, knishes, veggie burgers, wines, pickled vegetables, and specialty mushrooms, many of the shops situated in a building with beautiful wooden floors, exposed brick, and high ceilings. Heck, I'd live in it if I could. While the vendors and the space are great, the parking lot across the street could use some trash pickup, levelling out, or, better yet, some gravel or paving. Some additional signage telling you where things are and are not (e.g. hallways that go nowhere and contain no businesses) would be welcome. Things run out and shops close up late, but I think that's probably on us for arriving an hour before close. I also hope that as the word gets out, the weather warms up, and COVID vaccinations bring down cases, that there will be even more vendors. It's a nice market and we'll certainly be back. I'm interested in seeing how it grows.

It was nice to get out and shop at local vendors. I really liked the set up and signs pointing everyone to additional shops and vendors that were indoors. The hours are from 9-2 which is nice because there isn't a big rush to get there early. It's on the weekend and sometimes sleeping in takes presidence lol. However, some vendors sell out or may not stay the full length of the market so I would reccomend going early at least once. All of the vendors are spaced apart, there are covid rules in effect and it feels very safe. I was comfortable during both of my visits and I would gladly return.
