Haha. Well, it turns out I am hardly the first customer relationship Globe Language Services, Inc. has utterly blundered. I'm grateful they revealed their competency before I paid them anything. I emailed them asking for more specific information on if their post secondary course-by-course evaluation included certain criteria my college was asking for. Their website, which I did check first, did not include it. Rather than a professional response, I received a curt response from some anon who never managed to figure out how to add a signature to their business email that I "We need you to submit the Inquiry on our website for us to answer your questions." Avoid these losers. Actually, it's probably loser, singular. Just one lone asshole in their dumpy little apartment jerking over foreign students. *EDIT* Updating to add the grammatically questionable email response I received for posting this review. That is some pretty sloppy English... I would seek translation services elsewhere. In regards to Alex's demand that I duplicate my questions using the online form on the company website: Imagine being so inept at managing a business that you cannot forward an email you received from a customer to the correct person on your staff to answer. One of the worst service providers I have ever dealt with. They made a spelling error and failed to properly verify my documents, which caused a significant delay in my education. They also promised to mail the documents, but I have not received anything. I am tired of calling them with no clear response or resolution. This has been extremely unprofessional and frustrating. This company is a money grab that needs to be investigated by the New York State Attorney General's Office. Complete this form and someone from the office will get back to you. I'm ok with mistakes being made, but when customer service is bad, and you ask for a supervisor, and it goes from bad to worse, that does it for me. Poor service and poor customer service skills mean you need to explicitly say no refunds are allowed so they can provide horrible service with horrible customer service. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Globe Language Service. I requested a copy of my diploma, and they immediately charged me for the service. After taking my payment, they informed me that they could not process my request because the diploma was older than 10 years. When I asked for a refund, they became hostile and blamed me for not reading their terms thoroughly. Rather than warning customers upfront that older diplomas cannot be processed--or simply declining such requests--it seems they prefer to take your money first. I suspect I am not the only customer who has fallen into this trap. It would be much more transparent (and customer-friendly) for them to update their website to screen out requests they cannot fulfill before charging. As it stands, I cannot recommend Globe Language Service to anyone needing this type of service. read more

My wife visited their office to have her diploma and individual course records translated in order to validate her eligibility to attend school in the United States. So I never take the time to actually leave comments but this place is poorl I'm extremely disappointed with the service my wife and I received. She went to have her diploma and course records translated and validated for school enrollment in the U.S., but from the beginning, the experience was frustrating, overpriced, and handled with little to no professionalism. The service we initially requested was not handled properly, and when we asked for clarification, the individual assisting us flat-out said, "I do not care." That alone speaks volumes about their attitude. I understand that people from different countries may operate differently, but basic professionalism and common courtesy should be universal. Instead, what we received was dismissiveness, a total lack of concern, and a complete unwillingness to assist us. To make matters worse, the cost ended up being nearly $400--significantly more than what was originally quoted. When we returned for follow-up assistance, he charged us as if we were brand new customers, despite having already used their services. There was no acknowledgment of the original agreement. The most alarming part was when we asked about sending the translated high school records to the university. Rather than offering guidance, as any certified NACES-affiliated service should, he simply handed us the envelope and said we should send it ourselves. I later discovered online that these types of services are supposed to send documents directly to the institution for official validation. So not only was the service overpriced, but it also failed to follow proper protocol. As a veteran, I've dealt with my fair share of frustrating clerical services on military bases, but this civilian-run operation is, without question, the worst I've ever encountered. The customer service is appalling, the staff is unhelpful and indifferent, and the entire experience felt like a money grab rather than a professional service. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone looking for translation or credential evaluation services. Save your time, money, and energy. Maybe it is just the location? But will not use this service. I never YELP but this individual was one of my worse experiences of customer service in my life to be honest. read more

Hello, I'm a RN with NY license, working for 20 years in NY and credits from outside of America. My husband went with all my paper for an evaluation and I received ,  just like i have a High school diploma and 1 year undergraduate.  After your evaluation looks I'm not an RN, also the clerk I talked on the phone she told me I'm not a RN, I can go home and not work anymore....."very professional" way to talk and the translator from Romanian language, definitely is not Romanian, doesn't have any clue about translation and evaluation. I cannot even begin to express my frustration in trying to deal with this company. Their responses once an issue arose were completely unprofessional and not helpful in any matter. It seemed like they just genuinely did not care and were just greedy, trying to keep as much money as they could from me. I ordered an evaluation from them (paid for a 3 day rush for a course by course evaluation along with Express shipping). It is clearly stated many times on their website that the only way to receive your original documents back by mail is by choosing the Express option. Which I did. And mind you, they charge you $40 for that, send it in an flat rate express envelope, which in reality only costs $25.50 thus they get to keep the difference as profit from each person they force to pay that price. You also can't tell me the nearest post office is so far away that the gas to get there is what else is included in that price or something ridiculous of the sort. Anyway, they finished my evaluation within the 3 days which I appreciated and sent it to me with Express, although the issue was my original documents were not in the envelope, only my translations + evaluation. Therefore, I contacted them about the issue over the phone and requested my originals please be sent to me. Over the phone I was assured they'd send my documents that day with Express. All good, hung up and went about my day. I then received an update on my order by email which stated my documents would be sent using Priority instead. Priority with a flat rate envelope costs around $7, so basically they didn't want to cover the extra few dollars it'd cost them to send it correctly with Express after they made a mistake, and, instead, wanted to still pocket some sort of profit. I proceeded to email them about the issue and received the responses shown in the attached photos. It wasn't even up for discussion with them. I was going to receive them with Priority whether I liked it or not basically. Well the even better news now is that this occured on Sep 3. It's been 7 days now and my documents are lost in the void of the postal service system as there have been 0 updates about the actual location of my documents for the past 6 days. Better yet, I have a deadline that I needed these back by. Instead, I will have to somehow find $150 to get a new set from my institution and have them hopefully safely sent to me. Plus a year of wasted time of my life by missing this deadline. Nobody seemed to care about this issue, so I've given up on calling and trying to figure anything out so thus this review. Basically, if you've got any other options for getting an evaluation, please don't use this place. It's not worth the money, stress, and lost time. read more

I came to Globe Language services with my wife to get her college degree evaluated and validated. There are a few other places hat offer the same services but for a much higher price. I think at Globe, it was $90, whereas others were charging close to $300, depending on which services you request for. We came on two occasions. One for her degree, second time for her transcript. When they complete the evaluation, you can either have them ship it or you could pick it up yourself. Our second visit was roughly a little over 2 weeks from our first visit. Our first evaluation should of been completed and shipped already, however when we came to get her transcript evaluated, we asked about her degree that was submitted over 2 weeks ago, they didn't even send it out yet apparently. They ended up just giving her a copy right there while we were submitting her transcript... Now we wonder how long it will take them to send the transcript because we don't plan on making a third trip into financial district for this again. Everything about Globe Language Services seems pretty professional and done legitimately. My only complaint is the speed of delivery. They need to understand that some of us have some deadlines to meet. read more

Look at the owner's response to my review to see the kind of people you are dealing with. First, he said that after looking at my document, he determined that authentication was necessary. That's a lie. They never looked at the documents. My car was double parked and I went up to check if they were open and they were so I asked them for the payment options and that's when they told me they had to have the document sent to them directly. He never saw any documents. He is making stuff up to make himself look professional. Pathetic. Second, I called and asked them before I drove there and they told me to bring the transcript. Then everything changed when I was there at 9 am in the Middle of busy NYC. It is this lack of professionalism that I am talking about. Third, I heard from many others afterwards that they had mistakes in translation and they were late in finishing the documents. The only reason I went there was because they were listed on my employer's letter. But I found another service somewhere else and I did everything there and they finished it in 24 hours. I recruited their services to translate my birth certificate and when it came to pick it up I called and asked the lady what was the best way to get to their office, she rudely laugh at me. NEW CUSTOMERS AND FUTURE PLEASE READ!!!! I though I will share my experience with this company. I actually read the comments but decided to give them a chance. It's 7/15/20 my documents went out on 7/6/20 with USPS on priority mail which I extra paid and they are still in transit. Contacted Globe Service thinking they are trained and experienced in this type of trouble and the only solution was to email documents to my school. Be mindful school policies on important documents are strict they only accept hard paper duplicate documents. I myself contacted the USPS since no one will have the time to help me and see what is going on with my documents. Until today I have not heard from their customer service but the very first time I contact them they were so eager to charge me and making sure I agree their total final cost which was $290. Communication was so sharp and I liked that in the beginning. It feels like they just wanted to take my money. Nobody has really looked into my case, total disappearance from their end. I was able to open a case with USPS and they have contacted me and they have called me. All I gotta say make sure you make you research and find other places. I expected so much from their end. I asked if I could pick up my documents although I initially ordered them to be delivered to my address and it worked. I asked for a diploma translation and at the beginning was told that my card was declined and I needed to try another payment method. Thing is that they actually charged me twice! I had to use their service for course to course evaluation. From 7 semesters of my undergrad school they evaluated only 3-4 classes as 3 credits each. I did ask the person who was doing the evaluation of my transcript and he told me, that regarding the scale they use it has to be 38 hrs per credit! He also told me that they use 30 years old educational standards for the evaluation. Well, they probably have to update the standards!?! I've been attending American schools for 5 years and I was getting 3-4 credits per classes less than 35 hours per semester! If anyone wants to evaluate their transcript, use someone else! Josh asked me for my transcript so I gave it to him and now I received evaluation of the transcript instead of bachelor's degree diploma that I don't need for NYS. So unprofessional. I was referred to Global language services from my employer to verify my foreign degree. They charged me $90 for degree verification $40 for two additional copy and needed only copy of my master degree. I applied on 09/30/2014 and as per the receipt I should have got the degree verified by 10/15/2014. Till this date I haven't received money back nor my degree got verified. Here the Saga begin, They need to understand that foreign degree works in diff way than traditional American degree. I had integrated degree of undergraduate and graduate degree . Global language can not verify my degree unless I get my undergraduate degree which my University back in India does not provide. I went back and forth with the Director and as per his email he can not verify unless i give my undergraduate degree from my University back in India ( i graduated 10 years back) else he can not verify. Because of Global languages lack of foreign degree knowledge and stubborn attitude , my job got jeopardized. My HR directors stated give me your verified degree else I will get termed for incomplete document. Unfortunately they are in their list of agency for degree verification. These guys are so terrible they make mistakes with spelling names and even forget to translate some documents when you bring them multiple things to translate. Not recommended. I would have given "0" star if it was possible. Rude staffs. They mis-translated my documents. I have associate degree in Nursing and RN License. They evaluated it as "HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA". Needless to say my HR didn't accept it. So, I called them back, the person on the other side of the phone said they cannot do anything. Cntd: They gravely mis-translated the document: they changed the family name because they could not translate a word, so they just transcribed it into English as part of my family name, they omitted a word in a sentence that was important, they wrongly translated a crucial word, which changed the sense of the whole document!!
