Several calls on our part later we finally got ahold of someone who said that it's take a but due to a part. Well a heads up call goes a long way. How about a loaner vehicle then? Oh we generally only have those who have requested it prior to dropping off....we didn't know it was going to take a week when we dropped it off....luckily they called back and said they gad one to come pick it up. Then Micheal stepped in saying he was going to make it right with me and sold me a 2016 Mazda 6 which I had to give up 3500$ more plus trade in the ford i had just bought. I was so desperate i felt like i had to go along so i had a vehicle for work. But my heart was broken. Within a month the Mazda 6 was leaking gas causing me to get carbon monoxide poisoning from driving a car leaking gas and i was unaware. He assured me it was a good car with no problems. Now the mazda is in the shop im out like 15,000$ im recovering from being poisoned and feel like im in a nightmare. Within nearly 6 mths they sold me 2 bad cars and were driving them both because their personal items were in the cars and the computers. Should they be driving the cars theyre supposed to be selling in the lot for personal use?! They have their own mechanics and shop so they had to be aware of the issues but decided to hurt a single mother anyway for the almighty dollar. I cannot stand that this can happen to people I am going to find resolve for myself in this matter but ive list so much because of it. This review is strictly about the SERVICE DEPARTMENT at James Collins Downtown Ford in Louisville. I have absolutely no complaints about the sales department or the sales manager I purchased my truck from. My experience with them has been positive. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the service department. About 2 months ago, I called to schedule service for my Ford F-250 because of transmission issues, squeaking brakes, and a couple of recalls that needed to be addressed. I was told they were 2-3 weeks out for transmission diagnostics. No problem. I completely understood and scheduled my appointment for September 27 at 8:30 AM. When I dropped my truck off, there was no loaner vehicle available, so I've been paying out of my own pocket for a rental vehicle ever since. By October 1, I hadn't received a single update, so I called to check on my truck. I was told they hadn't even looked at it yet! Several more days passed with absolutely no communication. Trying to get someone on the phone in the service department is extremely frustrating. After approximately nine business days, I finally reached someone and explained that if they couldn't get to my truck, I would rather pick it up and take it to another Ford dealership. Miraculously, about 10 minutes later, I was told my truck was in the service bay and about to be looked at. Another three business days went by with ZERO communication. Once again, I had to call them for an update. This time, I was told the repairs would take approximately another week and a half. This coming Monday will mark THREE WEEKS that the service department has had my truck! Meanwhile, I'm continuing to pay for a rental vehicle out of my own pocket, and nobody from the service department has taken the initiative to call me with updates, explain the delays, or provide a clear timeline. I completely understand that dealerships get busy, technicians have demanding schedules, and certain repairs take time. That's not my complaint. My complaint is the COMPLETE LACK OF COMMUNICATION, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER'S TIME AND MONEY. If the service department knew they couldn't get to my truck for that long, why schedule me to drop it off? Why not allow me to keep driving my vehicle until they were actually ready to diagnose it? I shouldn't have to constantly chase down updates about my own vehicle, especially while spending hundreds of dollars on a rental. Again, I want to emphasize that my frustration is NOT directed toward the sales department or my sales manager. They have treated me well, and I don't want their reputation affected by my experience with the service department. However, based on this experience, I cannot recommend the SERVICE DEPARTMENT at James Collins Downtown Ford. At this point, I am still without my truck, still paying for a rental, and still waiting for clear communication about when my vehicle will be ready. They make sure the car is in working condition, as you can see they have from from any brand regular to more premium and luxury tier cars and they will have good prices on them. So keep an eye on inventory as it moves fast. You can also check inventory and pricing on their website. I just purchased a car from G and L and even though there were no warning lights, the inspection place told me the car is in good shape, then a light came on within 48 hours of the purchase. I went back and Adam responded and resolved it on the same day. That is how a business gains loyalty in my book. I plan to buy another one in 2 years or so and G and L will be my first place to visit.

We purchased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Staff seemed okay, facilities were nice. Jeep ran great…read moreand looked like it was going worth what we paid for it. We were told it had a brand new Oil Cooler and Spark Plugs installed as that oiler cooler always goes bad in this model so they replaced it with the new aluminum one to prevent problems for the next owner. Less than 48 hours of owning it, the heat stops working. Less than a week of owning it the check engine light comes on with a misfire in cylinder 4. We took it to a shop, $1300 later we had a new oil cooler installed. The repair shop gave us the oiler cooler that they removed. It was the original plastic oil cooler that came with the engine. The spark plugs were not replaced either. This dealer lied to our face when we bought it. After that repair it fixed the misfire on cylinder 4 but the heat still doesn't work so now we have to spend a couple more thousand dollars to get the heater core replaced because "someone" filled the system with radiator stop leak. This was my 19 year old son buying what he thought was going to be his first reliable vehicle for his new chapter of life and getting on his adult feet. My son saved up every penny and paid $12000 cash for this car just to end up with a lemon and lies. Buyer beware!!!
