She told me that I could use the vehicle as a trade in, that they would give me a little $$, asked about the taxes/plates that after 6 wks I had not received yet, BECKY stated that money was already gone that the plates were there. I will be suing Rockford Lane Auto Sales for every penny and more. They lie, the tax money they put in their pocket until you have made enough payments and haven't had to call you for a payment. It disappoints them when you live up to your obligations because they do not!! He then says he can refer me to his engine guy????? What ???? After having my car for a month and him admittingly saying he really hasn't got to look at good and offers me a referral to his engine guy. Are you serious??? He should have just been upfront immediately and said this job is above his skill level or to big of a job and that he only does oil changes, brake jobs, and tire rotations . They wanted to charge $137 to change a cabin air filter -- which, for context, is a job so easy you could teach a possum to do it with a YouTube video and half a chicken nugget. Spark plugs? $44 each. You'd think they were hand-sculpted from meteorite and blessed by a monk. And the alignment was nearly $300, which is double what any reputable shop charges unless the tech is using golden lasers and whispering affirmations into the steering rack. When I asked if I could provide my own HKS plugs (pre-gapped and ready), I got a hesitant maybe -- because God forbid a customer bring their own parts. Wouldn't want to interrupt the sacred ceremony of upselling with something practical. To be fair: they did complete the oil change. For that, I am grateful, if not also slightly concerned I'll find a "convenience fee" added to my next paycheck. TL;DR: Come here if you enjoy being charged for the ambiance. Otherwise, shop around. I took my vehicle to this establishment because of their great reviews. Throughout the process of trying to get my car repaired, I had several issues with my insurance company. They were a week late getting an adjuster to assess the damage. Then, the estimate they provided was garbage because the quote consisted of the incorrect parts and labor needed for the repair. That was just the beginning of how inefficient and time consuming this nightmare process became. Nermin is the owner of this established business. He took over this tedious process and turned out to be my saving Grace in this scenario. His first experience was when the towing company, assigned by my insurance provider, was delivered my vehicle to the wrong address. The shop was closed that day and Nermin took his day off to find the car several doors down the street. It was left in a random parking lot, unlocked, with the keys openly visible in the center console cup holder. He took the car to his shop and parked it inside the locked garage. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of a long, arduous process. The insurance company was not willing to provide the financial reimbursement needed for repairs and the whole process. I was told that this process should be approximately 3 to 4 days took 3-4 weeks. I could have never gotten my repair completed without the assistance of the owner, Nermin. He even gave me his personal cell phone number in case I needed him after the shop hours. He also called me to check in every few days to keep me notified of the "progress" regarding the repair. He fixed the vehicle within 2 days after the insurance company finally did their job. The icing on the cake was that he delivered my vehicle to my home, which is VERY FAR out of their delivery area. Nermin prides himself on being fair, ethical, friendly and knowledgeable business man. He will make sure that your repair is completed in the correct manner and that you leave a happy patron. You can't go wrong with this amazing local automotive shop!

The bottom line is I don't want to see another senior citizen taken advantage of by Louisville Automotive Shop.
