My son had an appointment at this location because Philly never had appointments. The directions to the office were very clear and easy to get to. Short-term parking will cost over $10 The agent was very nice, and my son was called back before his appointment time, and it took about 10 minutes! I had a global entry interview appointment at EWR at 10am. I reached there after traveling for more than an hour. Few other applicants were there as well patiently waiting and minding their business. The officer (austin) who greeted us seemed nice in the begining but later he was making jokes in a way that was making everyone uncomfortable. It was making me actually angry. He will make statements like "i just called your name did not ask you to stand up, why are you standing up" . "You are not ready if your id is in the wallet and not in the hand". "why are you not talking to each other and looking at your phones". The tone in which he said all these was ridiculous. He made us feel that he was above us and we are at his mercy that day and obey him. This is not great customer service. read more

Came on a Saturday morning at 11 AM for my global entry interview and it was much smoother than I thought! The area is right behind the carousels. Definitely get there a few minutes early. Sit in the waiting area. We waited for the officer to come out and ask who had an 11 AM appointment. Have your passport and license and email confirmation ready (I would recommend printing this out). We filed in and they just one by one brought you to their stations and interviewed you and took your picture. Very nice people! The card arrived less than a week later! read more

I had a global entry enrollment appointment for 4:30pm. I was running late and arrived around 4:40pm. I waited for only 10 more minutes before an officer came out and asked if I had an appointment. He then checked off my name and took me immediately even though it was 20 minutes past my original appointment time. I think if you arrive within your scheduled appointment time window (which is a 30 minute period), you should be fine. The officer asked me a few standard identity questions, and then I was on my way in 10 minutes. Very fast and easy process (once you get past the 6+ month waiting period to schedule your interview). read more

Update: interviewed 5/6/16 card arrived 5/11/16 What an awesome experience! Arrived for my 3:00pm interview actually got my interview at 2:40pm since it was slow.... The officer I had was awesome I wish I remembered his name, we had a nice discussion about travel destinations and vacationing tips. great experience! The guys were very professional and courteous.... On that note I was APPROVED for my GOES. They just ask you some simple question about your identity and travel purposes and places you last visited within the last 5 years. Took me less than 10 mins. Get's the job done. Here are some tips: 1) get there early, plan a buffer. If you're a minute late after they call you, your S.O.L. and may a have to wait hours until they can squeeze you in. 2) they're like DMV people ... don't appear to enjoy their job any more, if they ever have. While they're not outwardly mean or nasty, they just appear beat down due to repetitive nature of the job. It's all business, don't expect anything more. 3) it's easy to find 4) bring driver's license and make sure that it matches your current address. 5) they ask you if you've ever been arrested ... if so, just answer the question truthfully as it's not disqualifying. I wish they considered seeing people sooner who arrive before their appointment time. I had to sit an hour. No one acknowledged my presence until a guy came out of the office to announce my appointment time. He searched his list to make sure everyone who approached had an appointment. We were ushered in the room for the interview which lasted about 10 minutes. My fingerprints were taken and I was told I was approved and to expect an email to that affect. read more

Very dissatisfied!!! Came a minute late for our appointment, and instead of sitting, stood, due to back issues. The lobby guy Austin came out and publicly humiliated my husband and I, spoke in a very bullish and derogatory way, asking me in front of all other people, why am I standing instead of sitting, then proceeded to ignore us and taking people that came much later than us. Continued to not take us in for 1.5 hours, and when he did, lectured us on our behavior, finally saying to my husband that he feels sorry for him( because he has me as a wife). What a pleasant experience!! I received my notification of conditional approval on May 12th and went online to schedule the interview. The soonest available appointment was July 3rd. I dedicated two hours of my time that same day and I kept refreshing the interview scheduling system until I got lucky, very lucky! I managed to get an appointment for May 14th at 17:40 just two days after status was updated on my GOES account. I arrived at Newark Airport at 16:30 and I sat outside for about five minutes. An officer came outside with a pad in hand and asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, gave him my name and I was invited inside. There were two officers conducting interviews and while I was inside I waited for another five minutes. When I was called, the officer collected my passports, my approval letter and my DL. He verified information from the application and I was on my way. A few hours later I received my approval e-mail. Don't honor appointment times. Be prepared for an epic wait with zero communication. My appointment was 730, I arrived at 720. Had to wait over 40 minutes. No communication at all. Officers walk in and out but provide no information. The disrespect for citizen taxpayers is shocking! read more

Don't go super early as I did and didn't take me early. The customer experience is like DMV - hit or miss, more miss.

Easy enough to travel to via car. I went on a Saturday, mid-morning, and the airport was a ghost town. The GOES office location is clearly marked at international arrivals. Be on time for your appointment. Staff is very punctual at calling appointments by time slot. You may be asked to wait if you miss your scheduled time. The actual interview is short and to the point, takes a total of 10 minutes. I received my approval notification by the time I walked back to my car. Short term parking is across the street from the terminal and cheap at $4 for the first half hour. read more

Great experience. Park in Term B short term on the term C end. It is right behind baggage claim 1 on the 1st floor of Term B. You cant miss it. The agent was super friendly and engaging. They came out right at my time and processed me in about 10 minutes. Good job CBP. read more

Pretty Good. I made an appointment for 11:15am. Arrived at 11am. They were taking the 11am appointments. They didn't call the 11:15 people until 11:30 but it was very quick. I was done by 11:35. Parking is $4/30 minutes. Not bad, it took 45 minutes from when I parked in short term parking at Terminal B until I was back in my car driving away. Received the approval email within 20 minutes. The agent was fine. Not friendly but not rude. No issues. read more

I had a very poor experience unfortunately. A big part of that was not the fault of the Global Entry center but Newark Airport itself - the Airtrain from the parking lot was running extremely slowly so I ended up waiting a long time at the parking lot and missed my appointment. My advice would be to arrive very early (e.g. 1 hr) before your appointment so this doesn't happen to you. Separately the staff at the enrollment center were surprisingly rude to me and another customer, quite contrary to other reviews I had read online. read more
