I don't know how my new bank is going to work out for me, if I'm going to be nickeled and dimed every time I ask for something. I basically use a check once every 5 years for something unusual, so there is no point in paying for them. I gave it 2 stars, because it has a drive thru.

Upon walk-in, I saw there was a line of six people ahead of me. There were about 3 to 4 tellers working at the time. Always nice to have an almost full house of tellers working so the line goes much faster than not. Unfortunately, I left my wallet at home. OMG... I rarely make this booboo. I was hoping they would exchange the coins for me without my ATM and ID... I would have provided some personal information to prove who I am and that I have an account with Wells Fargo. The teller lady wouldn't do it per bank policy. Must have ID at a minimum if you don't have your ATM card. I said okay. I am glad the teller lady followed procedures. Thank you miss for doing your job right! I also asked for coin wrappers and she was happy to give me the wrappers. Thanks! One thing I noticed about this bank is that the wait line is way too close to the customers up at the teller stations. It is a smaller bank compared to other Wells Fargo Banks that I've been to in the past. Anyway, I guess there really isn't anything that can be done when the limited space doesn't allow it. Btw, this location also has walk-up and drive-thru ATMs available. Parking is limited.

What I found instead was some of the worst institutional incompetence I have encountered from any financial institution. After paying off a small personal loan in full, SchoolsFirst began reporting the account differently to all three credit bureaus simultaneously. Not slightly differently. Completely differently. One bureau showed the account as still past due long after it was closed and paid. When I disputed it with documentation, they produced two entirely different transaction histories for the same loan. Their own internal records contradict each other. They also sent an official dispute response letter that misidentified the loan product entirely, getting the basic type of loan wrong in formal correspondence. That alone tells you everything about how carefully they maintain member records. Rather than fix it, they declared in writing that they would no longer communicate with me about the matter, and then continued furnishing the disputed data to credit bureaus anyway. The practical damage is real. Inaccurate reporting on a small loan paid in full affects your credit profile, your interest rates, and your ability to qualify for financing long after the loan is gone. If you are a California educator considering SchoolsFirst, I would look carefully before committing. The credit union philosophy is easy to say and hard to find here when something actually goes wrong.

It spit out a receipt stating it encountered an error and cannot deposit or give my money back. The receipt instructed me to call 855-512-0474 where I waited for 20 minutes before a rep answered. She told me they cannot do anything if the ATM malfunctioned and that the issue should correct itself within 24 hrs. Here we are 6/15/28 and the issue is still not resolved. A couple days ago I went into the branch and spoke with Nansi Villanueva. She also told me there is nothing she can do. However, she gave me a number for their regional headquarters (909)-481-3033 where my calls are sent directly to Renee's voicemail. I called 3 times today. Earlier today, I filed a complaint with the CFPB, the Federal Reserve and I also called CNN. I will not stop until they post or return my funds. In the interim I will call every number in their regional and Corp office to get this issue resolved.
