No review would ever fully describe how amazing Cheryl and the Glitzzy Events team were to work with. Cheryl came to be a close friend, confidante and partner throughout the several months of wedding planning. Her expertise and experience was evident from the moment we met her and it gave us a sense of calm that she carried throughout the entire process. We knew we'd be in good hands almost immediately. Cheryl's reputation certainly precedes her. We were met with immediate positive reactions when we mentioned that we would likely be working with Glitzzy Events to potential wedding venues during our initial search. Many of the venues and vendors in the area know her well and it immediately put them at ease when we mentioned this. "Oh Cheryl? Perfect, we have nothing to worry about." - Wedding Venue Owner Cheryl was extremely adept at understanding the vision we wanted for our wedding and knew exactly how to navigate the different, often challenging, dynamics from our parents, the wedding venues and other vendors. A critical quality you must find in a wedding planner is one that will advocate for what you want for your wedding while figuring out how to make everyone happy with the outcome. Another critical quality is that they must be accessible. Cheryl was extremely responsive throughout our entire engagement, even when both of us were traveling abroad. She set up weekly meetings (that we now miss so much) to stay on top of everything and always came prepared and gently encouraged us to make decisions. Our first meeting with Cheryl occurred when she was traveling in Mumbai. She was kind to prioritize and make herself available across timezones to meet with us. When we mentioned our wedding dream of having a 4-day event with different locations for each day, she was probably the only person that said "Let's do it!". That's when we knew we needed Cheryl to plan our wedding. She understood what it would take and we left the conversation ready to move forward. During the wedding week, the execution by the Glitzzy Team was absolutely seamless. Cheryl, Rohit, Melissa and Simran were ready to take on each day and ensure there were no issues. We did not have to worry about anything other than showing up and enjoying our wedding. Cheryl and team took care of everything, and we know there was so much work behind the scenes that they managed. From coordinating shuttles for our guests, to ensuring venues were set up correctly, to addressing last minute requests from family, the team was extremely professional and made things happen. We are forever grateful for Cheryl and the Glitzzy Event team. We would not have had our dream wedding without them. Thank you Cheryl, Rohit, Melissa and Simran!!

When we originally planned to use Glitzzy Events for our wedding planning, our wedding was scheduled for November of 2020. The pandemic had yet to hit, and all seemed smooth. Well, of course, fast forward about six months, and we are working on a reschedule with multiple vendors with no safe date in sight. Throughout all of this, Cheryl was patient, motivated, and, above all else, empathetic. She handled the entire situation with a grace that I couldn't have even imagined. When you pick a planner for your event, I'm sure you are looking for someone who doesn't panic at the sight of a problem, and instead, is always looking for solutions. Well, I can tell you that the planning of this wedding these last couple of years threw every problem her way, and she was constantly calm and working out contingencies. I truly never saw her fazed, and there is no one better, calmer, better at their job, or kinder that you would want planning your event. Another thing Cheryl excels at is relationships and managing opinions. Every single wedding is bound to have many opinions tossed about, and that can be quite difficult to sort through! In some ways, it is the trickiest part of putting on an event like this - trying to make sure everyone involved is happy with the end result. Well, Cheryl is a master at taking everyone's opinions into account and coming up with something that works for everyone. She did this several times during our wedding planning process, and she was a complete lifesaver that way. In the end, the event she planned had something for everyone involved, even including little surprises that showed just how carefully she had been listening and really understanding. That is Cheryl's true strength - taking the visions and ideas of two partners and their families and really taking the time, energy, and what I can only guess is a natural gift to bring those dreams to reality. When I saw the end result, I was nearly brought to tears not just because it was beautiful and meaningful, but because it was exactly what I had imagined and more, and because it was a result of so much creativity and love from someone who is so good at what they do. If you are feeling overwhelmed with planning your event and you have no idea where to start, if you are sorting through planners and can't make up your mind, if you are struggling in any way with your event, please read this review and know that Glitzzy Events saved the day for my family and myself during a really difficult time with the pandemic, and they can do the same for you! There is no better decision we could have made! For some specific information, Cheryl planned a fusion wedding for us with Sangeet, Chinese ceremony, Indian ceremony (a task which included conducting a baraat on 6th street, I'm sure no easy feat, though she made it look easy), and a western style reception, so truly there is nothing she cannot do! Cheryl, her husband, and her team will always have a place in our heart, having worked on both my sister and my wedding, and we only hope to have more events in the future just to work with her again!

Cheryl and Rohit with Glitzzy Events are the planners of your dreams. They have different package options that can work with different budgets and needs, their response time is very quick, they take the time to understand your wants, desires, needs, they are never pushy, have excellent vendor recommendations (for people like us who had no idea where to start, that was amazing!), and most importantly, they make it so that you have no stress the day of your wedding! I was very worried looking for a planner as a Queer Indian/White couple who would understand us as a couple and be able to help us make our dreams come true. We couldn't have asked for a a more compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind team!

Cheryl and her team did an amazing job helping us through the wedding process. It was the first wedding in both our families, so we were overwhelmed on where to start. But as soon as we found Cheryl, we got to work right away, starting by finding a better venue for the reception than I had originally found on my own. My husband and I were living in a different state which made planning a wedding in Austin tricky, but Cheryl kept us on track with weekly phone calls and to do lists. She is extremely organized, creative and knows how to work with all the vendors. She knows how to negotiate with the vendors to make sure you will get the most for your money. Getting closer to the wedding, Cheryl made sure to go through everything with me but also with our families. Whenever I was in town, she worked with our schedules to make sure we were getting everything done. The day of the wedding, she was there with her husband Rohit and her assistant who were all such a huge help. I even had an emergency the day of with my videographer and she was able to find additional help the morning of my wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. My wedding was about 500-550 guests and there is no way I could have managed everything on my own. Cheryl will go above and beyond for you and will make the wedding day experience a lot less stressful. My wedding turned out beautiful and all our guests has a wonderful time and I owe a lot of the planning and work to Cheryl and her team.

Glittzy team planned my Indian wedding in Austin. Cheryl and Rohit are a dream team..the level of respect Cheryl commands amongst the wedding vendors is truly amazing. Cheryl introduced me to the right vendors and they really created magic on my wedding day. Glittzy also managed my wedding catering logistics which was world class service. The bartenders and the catering staff they brought to the event they day were absolutely amazing. Overall we had a wonderful day thanks to glittzy team and I highly recommend this amazing team.

We were already leaning toward hiring a coordinator but then our venue (Ma Maison) required us to have one so we contacted their entire list of preferred vendors for coordinators and we are so glad we did because that's how we found Heather from Vintage & Lace!! Of all of the planners and coordinators we talked to, I was just immediately drawn to how warm, friendly, AND organized she is. Heather is an absolute pro with countless weddings under her belt, but still so kind and easy to talk to. Then, despite planning our wedding from another city, Heather made it SO easy and smooth. We technically only booked her for day-of coordination (with full communication/access the month prior) but from day one, she was still always available via call, email, text, whathaveyou, no matter when or what kind of (ridiculous, I'm sure) questions I had. We didn't actually meet Heather in person until our rehearsal the day before our wedding, and she was an absolute ROCK STAR the entire weekend. She managed to wrangle our large wedding party (14 bridesmaids and groomsmen) and all of our family (including bilingual and non-native English speakers, as well as divorced family) with both grace and authority. It's also worth noting we had several extras (a Chinese tea ceremony before our wedding ceremony, two large shuttles to transport our guests to and from Dripping Springs, getting Whataburger delivered to our venue for a late night snack) and Heather handled EVERYTHING seamlessly. Anything I thought of or had concerns about, she handled before I even voiced them to her! If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I have no idea what it was, because Heather was ON it. She was also incredibly thoughtful and adaptable, from my mom wanting to move the cake-cutting earlier, to making sure all of our belongings were packed away and that we had plenty of snacks and drinks in our getaway car. Her day-of assistant, Jasmine, was also so helpful and sweet. They both made the entire weekend just a wonderful, fun, amazing experience where we got to fully enjoy getting married and celebrating with family and friends. I can't recommend Heather and Vintage & Lace more highly -- BOOK HER NOW! I won't say "you won't regret it," but rather, you'll regret it if you don't! Heather, thank you thank you thank you SO much for all your hard work and support in making sure our wedding was an amazing, dreamy, unforgettable experience!

Due to COVID, I was exhausted from cancelling an overseas wedding and dealing with two reschedules; I could no longer handle all of the logistics. Enter Heather. She was quick to respond and schedule a meeting with me and my then fiancee to discuss details. She was calm, interested, and prepared. She assuaged my panic and let me know that 6 weeks for a 30 person wedding was easy peasy. I cannot recommend Heather enough! With my hectic work schedule, she contacted me via email as my preference. We are based in Philadelphia, and while we didn't meet until the day before the wedding, you definitely couldn't tell as everything went off without a hitch. Well if there was anything wrong during the ceremony and reception, we had no idea. She handled all of our vendors seamlessly and made everyone feel safe during the pandemic. I definitely know now that we couldn't have pulled it off without her!

But getting food to the hotel would have been a challenge...either cook for ourselves or cater from a chain. Our host suggested we use an events chef and connected us to Becca Schafer and her staff. This proved to be one of the best parts of the meeting. The food was very fresh. She used local fresh ingredients whenever possible. She was sensitive to the variety of dietary needs for our staff: from vegetarian, to vegan, and beyond. They made from-scratch hors d'oeuvres served to us out on the patio. They also accommodated our schedule for dinner, flexing the time the meal was finished to accommodate our evening activities. The staff thoroughly cleaned the kitchen afterwards. We had to start an email list of our attendees who wanted chef Becca's recipes, which she graciously agreed to supply to anyone who wants them. Our staff meeting planner found the prices to be quite reasonable for sit-down meal costs. Lastly, you may be able to find other great chefs, but it's not always easy to find ones that were so enjoyable. Our staff had so much fun with them in the house, they insisted that Becca and her crew join us for a glass of wine on the patio. They joined in like old friends in our conversation, shared some fun stories, and were very genuine in their interactions with us. If you need someone to plan your event in the greater Austin area or beyond, Becca Events is a "must" to put on your list.

Overall: We invested a lot of our time searching for Hana, and working with her to carry out our…read moresmall wedding. While we do appreciate her time and all the work she did, we cannot recommend Hana as a wedding coordinator because of her unprofessionalism. Please read below for why. For more questions, please reach out to us: noobebe0710@gmail.com. We hired Hana as our Day-of Coordinator for our wedding with 40 guests on October 5, 2024. We only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not Full Coordination since we were on a budget, and I, the bride, took on most of the planning with the help of my groom. We chose her over fourteen other candidates we thoroughly interviewed, where we spent about an hour for each interview. At the time of interviewing and hiring Hana for the job, she was very enthusiastic and thorough in explaining her role and the additional things she could assist with. Here are her assigned roles from our contract: I reviewed how each role went during the wedding: P for positive on what she did well. Our constructive feedback is below for what could've been done differently. P: She was fun to work with and very easy to reach before the wedding, even during times when she was sick. I was living out of town and the groom was living in Austin while planning, and most of our communication was virtual. She always tried her best to execute the vision we had for our wedding. Timeline management: Ensure the wedding stays on schedule P: On our wedding day, she was punctual and ensured she was the first person at the venue, making sure everything was organized. Rehearsal: Attend and coordinate the wedding rehearsal with the officiant to make sure everyone knows what to do when P: During our Rehearsal Lunch on October 4, 2024, she helped us coordinate our wedding entourage along with the DJ, which was very important to us since we wanted our plans to be executed smoothly. Venue walkthrough: Oversee the final walk-through of the venue P: She attended the venue walkthrough on September 19, 2024 and met with our photographer. Decorations: Ensure all decorative items are in place P: She did well when directing the setup for the wedding ceremony. She also assisted other vendors with logistics, whether it involved decorating or setting up for the reception. Vendors: Manage vendors when they arrive and confirm their setup locations and arrival times Ceremony: Line up everyone for the ceremony and cue the officiant and musicians for key moments P: She was able to tell us our officiant was late and she tried her best to contact him. He arrived on time. Reception: Coordinate the couple's entrance into the reception Cleanup: Oversee the breakdown and cleanup of the venue P: She made sure the venue was clean as the wedding concluded. She helped direct what happened with the wedding decorations during the cleanup afterward. Our decorations went to different cars. Even if some of our family members didn't give her the keys, she carried decorations to the cars. She tried her best to make sure the decorations went to the correct car. Communication: Keep everyone involved informed so the day runs smoothly Areas for improvement: For example, she could have contacted our other vendors such as our wedding cake vendor and DJ during the wedding planning process to ensure better synchronization on the wedding day. We understand that we only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not the full service, but we hired her believing that she would still assist with "some part" of the planning. It was very important to us that she proactively contacted our vendors so we wouldn't have to worry about the logistics. We also wish she had given clearer instructions to the vendors about our specific requests and expectations. Although my husband and I also discussed our expectations with her, it should've been written into the contract. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like she made much effort to contact them in advance. While we provided the vendor's contacts the day we hired her--almost two months before the wedding--there was no evidence that she reached out to them in a timely or consistent manner. This lack of communication became evident when our DJ made a few mistakes during the latter part of the wedding ceremony and parts of the reception. While we know this isn't entirely Hana's fault, we strongly believe that better coordination with the DJ could have prevented these mishaps. We also should've advocated having a meeting with Hana and DJ a week before the wedding to go over the final timeline since DJ Abner had a big role in the timeline. After the wedding, we tried reaching out to Hana for clarifications and feedback. We called, texted, and emailed her multiple times to set up a simple discussion, but she didn't respond promptly--or at all--for several weeks. When she eventually did respond, her email was not apologetic, nor did she acknowledge any responsibility for the mistakes or mishaps.
