Looking for prom dresses, that's all we were doing. We were greeted as we entered and everything was "normal". My girl was trying on her dress when I overheard the employee/owner whatever she was make horrible remarks about another young girl. She called her fat and was rude to her for no reason. I was in the store when that party walked in and there was no bad behavior at all. The store was empty except for us and them and the owner/employee. How do you ruin a young girls prom experience like that? Totally unacceptable and unwarranted behavior. We left immediately. That store will never get my money. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I just want to say that this was the worst experience of my life; I threw my money in the trash buying a $110 dress. I hope they never sell another dress again, because they sold me one that was damaged, with altered seams. I went into this store with another mom and 4 girls who are coming out in my daughters quince. I had been there the day before with my daughter. A lady made my 14 year old daughter very uncomfortable by entering the dressing room several times when she was changing. Then she ended up kicking the group out of the store and yelling at the moms that were with the girls because they tried on dresses and did not immediately purchase. They considered going to another store, and the lady accused them of stealing and wasting their time. She said they had to buy them since they tried them on. Went in looking for a maid of honor dress for sisters wedding. I was able to find a dress for myself as well as a flower girl dress for my 6month old daughter and a suit for my son. Shana was super helpful and all was size inclusive. She said whatever dress I liked she would be able to order my size if it wasn't in store already. Literally physically manhandled, refused to let me try on a dress because I might damage it just trying it on I am a 60 year old aerospace engineer, buying a dress for a Mardi Gras masquerade ball in New Orleans and discovered this shop on my way from Nordstrom's to Macy's. For reference, I weigh 125 pounds without any mobility or other issues and came in with my best friend. Just a couple of normal ladies shopping for a dress. I told the shop lady that the traditional colors for Mardi Gras were green, gold and purple. I selected a green gown and a rose gold gown. She pointed out a traditional gold gown and said it was very popular. The Green in my size was on a mannequin so she asked me to try it in red to see if it fit before she took the one off the mannequin. I didn't think it was the right size and asked for a tape measure to save the trouble. She said her eyes were her tape measure. I agreed to try the red dress and when it didn't fit, she blamed it on my fake boobs - uh, right? They are a B-cup! I let this go, didn't like the red anyway, so I tried the gold one. Just as with the red one, she insisted that she had to put me in the dress; my friend couldn't do it. Meanwhile, my friend continued to look around, her every step dogged by the other shop lady. When I stepped out of the dressing room to look in a better light at the mirror 2, TWO!, steps away, this woman literally grabbed me and pushed me back towards the dressing room. Pushed. Me. And told me she didn't want the glitter to get on the floor as an excuse. I didn't like the dress so asked for the rose gold one as it wasn't in my dressing room but was 4 steps away on a rack. She refused to let me try it on because it wasn't one of the colors I had said were the traditional Mardi Gras colors. My friend explained that I could wear any color, and this woman still refused. Finally I asked if she wanted to sell me a dress or not, she said yes but not that one. What?! They had plenty of that dress and I had done absolutely nothing that would damage a dress, including trying on barefooted so my shoes wouldn't do any damage. When I went back into the dressing room, she told my friend that she was afraid I would damage the dress just trying it on. Give me a break. What a rude, unacceptable exchange. So if you want to be assaulted, insulted, and unable to try on the dress you want - this is your place! Otherwise, I would avoid it like the plague!!! read more

I had a horrible experience at Glitzy today. I walked in with my 3 and 7 year old girls. I noticed that as soon as I walked inside the store the lady running the store kept a close eye on me and kept following me around the store. My daughters touched the dresses and were playing, not running. Just feeling the fabrics and amazed at the sparkly dresses and different materials. The lady began scolding them and I immediately told my daughters to stop touching the dresses. She kept trying to scolding them even after they stopped touching the dresses. I bought a dress that was missing an entire front piece and there was no room for me breasts unless thy were directly under my neck. They would not take it back. HORRIBLE service. My daughter (Black) and her friends (white, Black, and Latina) were shopping for dresses to wear to another friend's quinceañera. First, the staff were side-eyeing all the non-white girls and whispering to each other. When my daughter was in the dressing room trying on a dress, an associate started banging on the door, yelling that she was taking too long, and insisting on "helping" her tie the straps. She did so, told my daughter that the dress was pretty, then ordered her to take it off. My daughter went back in the dressing room to change back into her clothes; as she was changing the woman barged into the dressing room and insisted on "helping" her undo the straps. She noticed my daughter's insulin pump and asked what it was. My daughter told her, and the woman told her that if she lost weight, her diabetes would go away. MY DAUGHTER IS AN *UNDERWEIGHT* TYPE 1 DIABETIC! She also didn't let the non-white girls try on more than one dress. One of the other girls (Black) wanted to try on a quince dress, but the woman yelled at her and told her it wasn't her culture. If it's not in stock in the color I'm looking for she will order it for me. Not only did I utilize her for my gowns, I also had my gowns for my bridesmaids for my upcoming wedding ordered through her.
