Love this place and love Tina! She's been doing my nails off and on since forever. I've gone to different places but have never loved my nails the way I do when I leave her place. She always has awesome ideas and is such a sweetheart to sit and talk with for an hour. I will NEVER come here again. Came early on a Saturday morning to get shellack. Only one person was working, although the salon was empty. She started working on my nails right away, but when another customer came about ten minutes later I was pushed to the side. I don't know if that customer had an appt, but they were definitely friends. I thought she had called a co-worker to come in ASAP but to my surprise it appeard to be her sister or daughter 12-14 years of age! As this teenager was working on my nails. I finally got the courage to say I've changed my mind about getting my nails done. How awkward was that!? I wanted a professional to do my nails, that is why I came in the first place. Honestly I never actually do reviews on here but I had the absolute WORST experience with this place. If I could give it 0 stars, or negative ones, I would. I called to see if she had time for a mani/pedi with design on Monday. She told me 4 then when I said I couldn't do that she said 11 so I agreed. She then called me at 1030 and pushed it to 1130. So I said ok. I get down there and it's a very pleasant experience to begin. She was a little rough on my toe I told her was injured and sensitive but was very nice and talkative. Then we got to my manicure and she seemed to have done an excellent job and I was very satisfied until I got home and really looked at my nails fully. I will never come back to this horrid place again. She didn't blend the ombre nails, she globbed on the glitter polish so it was clumpy and rough. I have a cut on the side of my nailbed by my cuticle where I'm literally still bleeding from. SHE LITERALLY POURED SUPER GLUE ONTO MY FINGER NAILS. I did get a lot of charms added, but told her I was well aware they wouldn't last as long since I was only getting a regular manicure and not acrylics. My nails were so stiff that not even an hour later and I had chips all over the paint, and my skin glued to the underside of my nail!!! I went in for a regular polish manicure and now my nails are so damaged from all the super glue she put on. I texted her hoping to get a refund and she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't do that and blamed me for messing them up!!! Super unprofessional and disappointing. To make it worse I wanted them done for my 21st bday trip to Vegas, and even worse...she charged me $65 and I tipped her $15 cause they looked so good as I was walking out. Now I have to pay more money to have someone do a normal manicure for me, and cannot have any charms because of the damage already done. I seriously urge you to never go here!!!!!! Friendly but my fill was as much as getting a full set in other places and they ruined my acrylics. Had them on for 4 months keeping up with fills. Went here on a appointment and the owner left them so thick and uneven. read more

Okay, so I've never gotten on here to write a review before, but this place made me feel the need to. It was a HORRIBLE experience. I went to get some gel nails, not the shellack, but the acrylic type ones. So first she tells me to get there at 2, I get the 5 minutes early so I can pick out a color and what not. This lady, Tina, has me waiting a half hour cause she's taking her time with her first client. Then when she FINALLY gets to me she gets a call by a client whom she has in her phone by name and apparently she was coming at 3, but Tina told her to come at 330. So my entire appointment she is rushing my nails. They are so horrid. An appointment that should take an hour took half an hour. She clipped my real nails rather than filed them. Didn't push back my cuticles. Didn't look like the tools were sterilized, and she wore the same glove as the client before. ALL my nails are completely uneven and slanted in a diagonal way. They look pathetic. Definitely not worth the $40 wouldn't even be worth $20. I should have refused to pay. Never going back there and I strongly recommend that you don't either. All the people that are raving about this place must have never been to a quality nail salon before. read more

I am so disappointed by this place. If I could give negative stars I would. I went to the new store, Nail Poetry, which is in Penngrove. I walked in at noon and they told me it would be about a 10 minute wait, which I was fine with. They only started working on my pedicure nearly 45 minutes after I walked in. The pedicure went fine for the most part, only the lady doing them kept pushing her long nail into my toes which was very painful. It was only when it came to the manicure that I am incredibly angry with. First of all, the station she was giving me my manicure was filthy. The towel that she was working with was so dirty and it clearly hasn't been replaced in hours. During the manicure, a long, black hair had attached itself to my hand from the towel and it was very difficult to get it off. She cut me on three of my fingers and the paint job is very patchy, she clearly did not put any effort into making it nice. Then I asked her for two flowers on my ring fingers. The one on my right hand looks terrible! It is patchy and uneven and there are weird strands of excess paint all over the nail. On my left hand she was working on my ring finger, only to stop and wipe off her work and she began putting it on my index finger. When I told her I didn't want it there, she said "oh okay" but continued to do it on my index finger. She also did not put topcoat on any of my fingers and when I told her that she said "yes I put topcoat on it" but I told her no she didn't and she ignored me and moments later said "all finished." When I left the place, I noticed that I had paint spots all over my skin that she didn't remove. I went back in and asked the manager for a refund which she refused to do. She told me my only options were to take the whole thing off and get a refund or get it redone. I asked her to take it off and to get my money back, and only after removing the paint did she tell me that she's only refunding me half of my money back. I left the salon two and a half hours after getting there with only my toes done and a ridiculous amount of trouble. Do not ever come here, you're better off doing your nails at Beauty Zone or even by yourself. It's a complete waste of time and money. read more

omg i efing love tina! she did such an amazing job! i felt i was a little hard on her at first with the perfect squaring of my nails because i am super picky, she handled me well! made sure i was happy! honestly i thought i was gonna be rushed out but she made sure i was perfect before i left! since i have moved to santa rosa it was hard finding the right place i literally gave up and haven't gotten them done in over a year! i lived in sr for over 5 years now and the last time i went any where i drove back to my home town to my lady who has done them since i was 11 and having only one lady do my nails practically my whole life i feel the same kind of energy with tina! she did them perfectly! i honestly will be back! she is just simply amazing just go and check her out! read more

This is such an overdue review but here it is! I have been going to tina for some years now off and on and I have always been more than happy with her and her work! Tina truly listens to what you want and always has ideas for you. I'm extremely picky and indecisive lol and tina knows exactly how to work with me to achieve the exact look im going for. I also love how personable she is, I haven't had the best luck finding nail ladies I can actually sit and chat with. She cares about how you're doing, asks about your family, incredibly sweet woman. Haven't been there in a bit but her prices have always been lower than anywhere else I've ever been to! If they have gone up since then it's well worth it.
