We moved here 4 years ago and turned to Johnston's for our propane...we have never had a problem with them...a few times we ran out forgetting to call and that was our fault not theirs and they were very accommodating and within a day or so we had our delivery... We are not rich and still get amazing service and customer service...during one delivery the driver even noticed we had a leak and he repaired it right then and there... There was a woman who answered the phone who seemed a bit rude but I simply said please, thank you, God Bless and have a terrific day and her attitude changed dramatically...sometimes dealing with rude people all day makes you a bit cranky... I have and will continue to recommend Johnston's Propane to anyone who asks.

I called all of the numbers, even the supposed "emergency" number and got no answer. I left messages on their voicemail and never got a call back from anyone. Meanwhile the inside of the house was getting colder and colder by the minute. When I was able to talk to someone in the office WEEKS later, they were *very* rude to me and put the delinquent propane delivery as my fault. Since that time, no one has been answering the phone, responding to voicemail or email. I'd rather go with electric heat than ever have these folks as a propane supplier.

Got 900 credit on our account they made sure to fill our tanks twice in a month and a half only putting 60-70 % in each time so they knew they would have to come back twice and use up the 900 bucks. They then call us and tell us they can't come fill it because we owe 200 bucks that we should call and get emergency HEAP. And we'll have to add a credit card or debit card on file. They got so hard up over money and the scam they pull with federally granted money that they then ask me for my OTC card number so they could try to pull funds off of that too for payment. We are changing companies or resorting to getting rid of propane altogether.

The 100 gallon minimum order is much more wallet-friendly than most other companies 150 gallon minimum order. They are usually on time and deliver quickly when you call to order. The only other thing that irritates me, is that everytime I order the lady asks me, "is there gonna be someone home to pay the driver", and everytime after years I have to say, as usual, I leave a check for him under the propane lid. Fortunately, we have a propane-powered generator. The tank was down to 58% after restoration of the power, so we called them for a refill. They refused, saying our tank was at 70%, based on their remote reading. Yet, I looked right at the gauge and saw that it was at 58%. We asked twice for a refill; twice they refused. And now, we are without power again, and again it's a Saturday, so Griffith/Superior is closed today and tomorrow. If this power outage lasts more than a day and a half, we'll be out of propane, for no other reason than Griffith chose to ignore us; a customer who, like all Griffith's customers, pays dearly for their propane.

The place had a propane tank here belonging to the previous owner which became mine when I bought the place. The place was his camp at the time. Then after years of filling my tank they took my tank and regulator and put in there tank and regulator. They would fill there tank every 6 months then after years they stopped so I would be getting less then 40 gallon per year so they could then charge there $105.52 rental fee which is BS. I paid the bill and they told me when I get it switch out to call them and they would pick up there tank. I bought a new tank and regulator and installed it. I called them and told them they could pickup there tank. They told me there was a $165 charge for picking up there tank. I told them I wasn't paying them $165 to pickup there tank and I loaded it on my truck and took it to them. The lady kicked me out of her office Saying I wasn't suppose to move the tank so I just unloaded the tank which was almost empty and left. I got rid of them and will never do business with them again. This company is stealing from people! There criminals! It is what I call a snake pit. This business should be shut down by the state.
