Limor's has been sitting in my Bookmarked Businesses for a little while now, so when I was in the…read morearea looking for dinner, it was an easy choice. I was surprised walking into Limor's, it was larger on the inside than I had anticipated and had a mezzanine level which was for events- and happened to have an event in full swing that evening. Due to the size of the site, everything echoed, making it rather uncomfortable for the diners below, who were exposed to the sometimes inappropriate music and comments of the patrons above. The service at Limor's is standard. You'll be taken to your seat and given water. You'll be attended to the average amount of times and food will be cleared when you are done. They will also try up sell coffee and dry looking cake to you to invite you to leave. The service is absolutely nothing to write home about, neither is the decor. I don't even think I could describe it to you because it all fades in to the background. In general, the overall feel of Limor's is 'High School Cafeteria.' So we ordered, some sort of main that consisted of meat and chicken shish, two sides being chips, salad or vegetables. We opted for Vegetables and substituted chips for rice. This was lost when explaining to the waiter (third different for the evening) as he just took off the chips, and charged for additional rice. I was on a date, so there was no sense complaining at the counter. But honestly- standard stuff here. The meat and chicken shish were perfectly seasoned, excellently cooked and generously portioned. The skewered veggies were cooked well but under seasoned. The "salad" was not dressed. Oh and the side plate of rice was over cooked. Take from that what you will. We also ordered Cabbage Rolls which came with Israeli Salad. No. Just, no. The layers of cabbage were too thick and the bottoms were burnt, literally black. The filling was okay, too much rice not enough meat and vegetables. The salad was good. They dressed this one. Two mains cost us just under $50 and to be honest I was a little embarrassed I suggested the place. The atmosphere took away from our dining experience and the cuisine itself really did not have enough redeeming qualities to make me ever want to return unfortunately. All in all, I think you could do better and so could they.

My friend blacklisted this Restaurant and he said way to expensive over priced average quality food. Gotta be kidding $34 dollars a average Kimberly beef burger meal With average frozen Deep fried chips I had this meal ages ago it's very average not worth the money. The menu too mishy mashy too many items on the menu from multiple cuisines.

We were in Melbourne to catch up with some friends, and to attend a party. I jumped on wotif.com.au…read more and these apartments seemed to look the nicest on offer at a reasonable price. (It was around $500.00 for 3 nights) Booking sorted. We arrived to a pleasant receptionist, check in was easy, off to our room. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, with a kitchen, lounge and dining area, and a closed off bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom had nice linen, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Down stairs apartments open up to a shared courtyard, whilst the upstairs ones have private balconies. The kitchen and bathroom are tired and shabby, but everything was clean. The "Spa" in our bathtub did not work, and did not look like it would ever have done much more than blow bubbles. I know that they have a pool and a hot tub area, but we did not have time to utilise these facilities, I seem to recall seeing that they also had a gym. If you are Jewish, you will be well accommodated, as I saw signs offering candles, halal breakfasts and halal in room snacks. Staff are efficient and friendly. I'd stay there again if I had to.

There are several outlets of Hunky Dory around town, and yet last night was the first time I've…read moretried it ever. I love places like this when just wanting something casual, yet filling and comforting. Hunky Dory is all of that. This is one of their newest locations, if not the newest, and it was busy. It's quite cool inside. You walk up a few steps to the restaurant which makes it elevated off the street, and you can sit by the windows watching the world go by. You order your meal by choosing from the menus on the table, and placing your order up at the counter. They give you a number to take back to your table and then deliver it to you when it's cooked. Everything came out fresh and tasty. There's an area aside for pick ups from orders taken online, and that did make the space a little crowded, but still the flow seemed to work well. I got a piece of Blue Grenadier and two potato cakes and all was good, fresh and tasty and filling. Based on the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly service, and good food, I'd be very happy coming here again. It's priced well and a nicely decked out space. Highly recommend for casual dinners or lunch. The only slight negative, is that all fish pack meals, come with flake, which is a non-kosher fish, and if you can't eat flake, you may not get as good a deal as if you could if you ordered it. So many other places will let you order a fish pack with your choice of fish, and I'd say this is where they lose one star with me.
