Excuse me while I have a bite of lamington to wash down my mouthful of disappointment…read more According to the Danish Australian Cultural Society, this unassuming suburban bakery in Bentleigh is supposed to be THE place to get authentic Danish bread in Melbourne. I'm sure they taste delicious but I'm not really a fan of cream cakes. Because I don't really eat cream I notice the strong cream (sugar?) smell as soon as I walked in. What I can tell you with certainty is that the coffee tastes great and was handed to me speedily. That was once I poured it into a regular cup out of the takeaway cup which I wasn't thrilled with and was filled to full. Upshot, great coffee, friendly staff maybe better to leave the cakes and eating in to your elderly Aunty who might be more partial to lacy type decor. Read Not hipster.
