Then at my wifes urging we took a bit of a drive out to Flint. The day before I had called Lapeer Furniture and Mattress with some questions. I was promptly called back in less than five minutes by a attentive Dan in sales. But, the drive, I was not wanting to waste 1/2 a day away. Well lets say happy wife, happy life. We made the drive out. Easy to find and walked in, note entrance is on side, if you go to the front you wont get in. Well, Dan was working and I introduced ourselves me saying and complimenting his phone skills from yesterday. I must say unlike ArtVans they let you shop and dont hound you. We were impressed with the selection and prices. Dan helped us out and we ended up buying a couch and loveseat for our new home. Well, worth the trip and we will be back.

We admonished the children and Mr. Mir said they could do nothing to the rugs to harm them. "You're putting them on your floors, aren't you?" These rugs will be the most cherished heirlooms in our house for our children. (I am proud to say that they were not as obsessive about it as the parents of my high school girlfriend: they carpeted the stairs from the first floor to the basement with a lime colored shag, and loved it so much they glued the same carpet to the walls and ceiling. My girlfriend said, I suppose as a way of defending her parents, that "It was so atrociously ugly that it was at the same time quite beautiful." All I know is that the carpet scarred my retinas.) I swore that when I bought a home of my own, I'd rip out all of the dreadful wall to wall carpeting to reveal the wonderful wood floors underneath, and rely only on strategically placed area rugs.
