Dont go here. I had tooth pain, they took a couple xrays. Dr Brown explained possible plans to fix my problem, i decided to have a tooth removed and then to get a bridge$3k. AFTER the process to extract the tooth and prepare the two teeth on either side for the bridge Dr Brown surprised me and told me id have to have a root canal also, she never told me that there was a cavity in that tooth that was part of the plan of action. Root canal $800, if i knew the bill was going to be $4k i wouldve gotten a second opinion. Even though Dr Brown apologized about ot twlling me that my other tooth had a cavity she was very rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. I regret going here. To top it all off i just received a bill for $110 from them today, i paid upfront both times i went to their office, idk why they think i owe more money now. Im sure some of the people working here are great but id try my luck somewhere else unless youve got thousands to fork over. read more

Dr. Plorde (spelling may be off) was fantastic. He helped me out so much, words won't even scratch the surface on how grateful I am for him and his team. Front desk staff was amazing as well, and definitely worked with me and my finances. I would recommend this place to anybody wanting good quality dental work. read more

Everyone is very professional, friendly, and helpful. I was very stressed and nervous anticipating a lot of pain but they were gentle and made me feel as comfortable as possible! I had my first visit here a week ago and had a great experience. Today, I came back for a cleaning and my visit was exceptional. The office staff are very friendly and professional. They took me back before my appointment time and finished my appointment well before I anticipated. It was only because my front veneer chose to fall off when my boss was in town and we were having a team lunch that I found the courage to call this dentist and make an appointment. I was greeted by a lovely young woman named Yaz who was not at all condescending to my real fear of the dentist. My next steps into the office where with a very cool young man who took x-rays every which way.... and I still no problem. I then met the wonderful dentist who I admire because she's young and brilliant. You can tell she is incredibly driven and passionate about her work. Dr. Marissa Brown was very gentle and also explained exactly what the process was to glue on the tooth. I explained I was a dental phobic and she spoke to me about some solutions that may make my visit a little bit easier. Dr. Brown also explain the cost of everything and gave me choices to make. I have not been in the dentist chair for 2 years out of fear and also because I moved from Chandler to Glendale and leaving my dentist was very difficult because he's the only one I trusted. I'm very happy I did this and I can't wait for the day when my mouth no longer hurts.... I'm trying not to be afraid of things anymore because I do miss having a big beautiful smile..... but I have a feeling Dr Brown will help me find it once again! read more

Terrible place. At first we thought it was going to be good with how well the guy up front, Kirk took care of us. He was so helpful! After that it was all a mess. The lady who took our exrays, allison acted bored and like she had better things to do. The dentist was the absolute worst though. He had his fingers in my mouth and he was telling his assistant what needed done. He kept saying the certain teeth and the assistant (TWICE) questioned him because he kept naming the wrong teeth. Umm.. a dentist who doenst know know the teeth? I will never go back to this place! read more

I think this is a great dental office. The staff is really friendly and professional. No long waits. I have much dental work that needs to be done. They don't take my insurance but I am on a payment plan. My only real gripe is the initial 60% down payment for overall scheduled service. read more

The day before I was in the emergancy room due to a bad toothache. So the day I went in, I took to hydrocodone before I enter their office, i informed them about it. They tried explaining the payment option to me but did a horrible job and since I was on narcotics I called my girlfriend and they explained it to her, and was told id pay 230 out of pocket to start a root canal and the remander balance would be broken down into 4 payments. After the pain meds were wearing off they gave me more. They went through and put a temporary crown. As I was leaving I signed a paper about the payment plan. Since I was still under narcotics I had no idea the paper stated that id pay the remaining 537 and it was not broken down into 4 payments as discussed. When they took it out of my account I was left with a few dollars. I went in and addressed them and they brushed me off. The regional manager was contacted and told me they refund ne some money. I said no problem not all of it jus 3/4 of it and break tbe rest down I to payments as discussed. Well the refund I stop have not received was only half of the 230 I paid out of pocket instead of the 537 they took out my account. This is shady business or just shady people that work for this company. I will be filing a complaint with the dental board since the allowed me to sign papers under the influence of narcotics as well as drive home. They did not ask to have some one pick me up or anything. Its noy about the money. Its about the way they did it and didn't care. Horrible experience with this office! I was told I had periodontal disease and needed multiple crowns which would've cost me about $2000. Dr. Brown relied on her hygienist to make judgement calls about a sore in my mouth instead of her original suggestion to prescribe an antibiotic mouthwash.They put me through an unnecessary laser treatment that was painful. It didn't help my sore. Dr. Brown referred me to an oral surgeon which would've cost me several hundred dollars. Dr. Brown refused to prescribe me an antibiotic mouthwash to see if that would clear up the problem. I would've had to wait a week in further pain to see the oral surgeon. I felt very uneasy about what I was told and sought a 2nd opinion which was completely opposite. In the meantime, my sore cleared on it's own. My new dentist said I have healthy teeth and gums and need only 1 crown for about $400. My teeth and gums have always been very healthy. Do not go to Glendale Modern Dentistry! They are frauds and very greedy! read more

Made an appointment on Tuesday and got in on Wednesday and left the office in the afternoon with a new crown! No goop to put my mouth around, no waiting 2 weeks for the REAL tooth, All done in one day. Fabulous!!! read more

I saw the Endodontist, Fleur Blethen DDS. She did the root canal, ok so this was THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! First of all she never explained anything at all what she was going to do, I was nervous as it was, never having root canal before. Blethen and her assistant all of a sudden put this thing around my mouth and this blue cloth over my mouth! Stuffing my mouth with whatever they were doing. They had this long wires thrown across my legs, then during the drilling Blethen, and her assistant were having conversations while doing this important procedure in my mouth! They kept talking through out the procedure, then Blethen cut my tongue!!! Gee if she was paying more attention to my mouth and not her conversations, maybe she wouldn't have cut my tongue! Then I heard a loud popping sound, I didn't know what it was, and was scared, she never said anything! Then she was done and just walked out not saying a word to me about anything! An assistant came in and said while she was drilling my crown popped off! She never told me that, he had to tell me, and he said he had to fill it now and then I had to go back to have another crown made. This was a real nightmare!!!! I paid a fortune, and I am in pain everyday!!! I wish I NEVER had Fleur Blethen do my root canal!!! read more

Never in a million years did I think I'd actually enjoy a dentist office.. Until now! They are amazing and super sweet! Especially Kirt who sits in the front! He's awesome! Soooo incredibly sweet and hilarious! They even have a hooked up area for the youngers. Love love love them! read more

Get a second opinion! I was quoted over $6K to have dental work completed. I was absolutely shocked. I requested a print out of all the procedures that Glendale Modern Dentistry stated that needed to be done and went to another dentist for a second opinion. The other dentist stated that around 80% of what they quoted was not necessary. If they recommend "bone grafts" after an extraction question it.... They quoted me $2800 for having the bone grafts/membrane overlay completed and the other dentist (who specializes in implants) stated it was NOT necessary. In addition, to the excessive amount quoted for work not needed, it took them over 45 minutes to take me back for my appointment. Highly recommend if you do choose to go to them that you get a second opinion and make sure that they get pre-authorization from your insurance before having work completed to make sure you are not in for any type of surprise after they have completed the work. read more
