My kids are older now, but we used to play here often pre-renovation. They did a beautiful job with the renovation. I come here twice a week to take a Nia dance class through the Park District of Oak Park. The space is perfect for the class. Always clean, well-ventilated, the water fountain works, all of the equipment is in good working order, and the teacher, Andrea, is the best!! Masks are required to come inside, and there is a Park District attendant at the door of the building to ensure that the mask requirement is complied with, which I really appreciate. Stevenson Park is a great place to take a class and a super spot to run around with the kids a bit! There is some free street parking along Lake, but make sure you follow the signs. I think only one side of the road (the south side) is free. I saw someone getting a ticket for parking on the north side of the road yesterday.

The park has easy (multiple) access points and although, certain parking areas can get busy during nice weather days, you have other parking options nearby. There are multiple restroom areas in the park. Pets (dogs to be exact) are allowed for a walk. You get pretty views of sunsets from here over the small lake that's there as the area is scenic. I go here occasionally for either exercising or just to get my mind of things as I find this place relaxing and chill. Check this park out if you haven't been here before. It's worth the visit.

There is a VERY tasty Flash Taco stand here offering tacos ($5), burritos, nachos, and quesadillas ($14 for the supreme with meat). Cold drinks and Mexican paletas and ice cream bars ($5) also available! The pools are clean and well life guarded. There is a 15 minute safety break on the :45 of every hour, where anyone under 18 needs to get out of the pool. Two diving boards, one steep water slide, splash area for kids, lazy river, couple of lap lanes, and lily pad obstacle course over 4' water can all be found here. Lily pads were a hit with my kids last year, but now that they're a year older, stronger swimmers, and taller, they're not as challenging. Still fun though. Variety of aquatic amenities and the Flash Taco keeps us returning here! A Morton Grove gem!

There's…read moreat least a couple large rooms for activity; when we were here there was something going on in the large room right in front of the doors and then in the other room soccer practice was happening. The jungle gym is in the room further back in the building, and most of the room is taken up with a large three or four level play structure. There's a few slides on it, some ropes to climb over, a little obstacle course, and lots of fun to be had. All the kids were loving it and we spent at least an hour and a half playing around and I think they could have gone for more. There's an $8 fee per child to go to the jungle gym, as of November 2025. They take cash or a card at the front desk. Definitely ask about wrist bans, or if you need to keep your receipt... there was a sign on the jungle gym door that was pretty adamant about having one, but no one in our group of five kids had one. They may only be for busy days but better to be safe than have to convince someone you've already paid. I also noticed that for the week of Thanksgiving they're doing open play throughout the week, taking reservations to make sure you can get in. If you'd like to find an easy way to let your kiddos expend some energy, this could be a good spot. There are a few tables for parents to sit at. No shoes on the play structure, and don't forget to bring socks!

I worked with Tony and Amanda to install a hoop on our garage. The experience was great from start…read moreto finish. Amanda helped figure out what would work best for our needs and took care of ordering the hoop on our behalf. Communication was quick and easy throughout. She also worked with us to schedule installation around my son's birthday, so that the new hoop would be a surprise. Tony handled the install. He brought the hoop by one morning and had it on our garage in a couple of hours. Installation couldn't have been smoother. The hoop looks fantastic and seems like it's going to last for many years. I couldn't be happier with Amanda and Tony's work, and recommend them to anybody looking to have a hoop installed in the Chicago area.
