This was my first baby and I was apprehensive about daycare; however, I went through a lot of nannies due to scheduling conflicts. When I went to Mersiha, you could tell she had a love for children and what she did for a living AND carried around a planner to set up dates far out in advance. I love how organized she is and how she interacts with kids. As a pediatric nurse with no family in the area, it was a God send to have Mersiha's family daycare around the corner. She was flexible with my crazy 12 hour shifts. She is very reliable and I have never had issues with having the coverage that I needed. Her prices are very reasonable for the area. Her attention to detail is amazing and she was even willing to support all of my first mom needs. We had an app and she would chart to appease my neurotic nursing nature. She helped me with getting Rhiley on a schedule and would alert me to any issues that were present with our little one. It's amazing how she keeps track of it all. I loved how much fun I could tell Rhiley had from spending a full day with Mersiha and the other kids. You could tell how much they both loved each other. And I loved how big of a smile Rhiley and Mersiha had when they would both see each in the morning or evening. My heart is broken that we are having to relocate but hopefully this is a see you later and not a goodbye. We miss her already and wish that we could take her with us! Idk where to begin. It was good, then it gradually declined. I really do hope things get better…read more Here's a couple of occurrences. *Our daughter was given the wrong diaper brand/size multiple times, which caused an allergic reaction and her urine to seep through her clothing. *She is not being thoroughly cleaned when she has a bowel movement, thus resulting in further irritation. *We were asked to bring in baby wipes. Used for only 3 days, then asked for new wipes again. Materials being used for other kids. *Everytime we picked up our daughter, she would have snot running down from her nose to her chin. We would also see other children in the room with the same situation. Hopefully their toys are cleaned and sanitized daily. *Some personnel would have short shorts/mid rift shirts, and have 1 inch nails. From our understanding they are provided "Kindercare" shirts to wear, and gloves are used during diaper changes. How can gloves be used if their nails are long? *Still charged for services when the teachers have covid, and we couldn't bring her in. *They used to send pics of our daughter doing activities (foot paintings/learning about textures/shadows etc.). What we get now is a picture of her sleeping. *The final straw was when our daughter was given someone else's food (tortillas/fishsticks/broccoli/apple slices/milk). We have everything labeled. Our daughter could've been allergic, as well as it's a choking hazard.

Anyone coming from Chicago knows, there's a long waitlist for daycares. We ultimately landed at the most expensive in our neighborhood, a so called "Montessori" (later found out they were not in fact designated as such). We moved to Grayslake and enrolled in kindercare, the experience has been great! Unlike the fancy titled city daycare, where we were talked down too and every little thing was an "issue".... he has a loud cry. He doesn't like some of his food. He had heat rashes when he woke up from naps (we had to get a doctors note to return). The experience from Kindercare couldn't be more opposite. The directors are so kind and reasonable. They approach issues with the motivation to solve them. Our son is SO happy there and has developed much more at Kindercare then the overpriced Montessori in the city.

However, we have opted to stay with Children's Center of Lake Forest, because they take such tremendous care of our son. There is a genuine love for our son there among so many of the staff, that makes both my wife and I feel so incredibly comfortable and confident in the care he is receiving. Not only were her teachers in both classrooms amazing in helping her grow, they were truly instrumental in her transitioning smoothly to a big sister at home. She has learned so much in the classroom but also immensely increased her social skills and having fun with friends! One thing I really love about Dreamers is, the other childcare professionals, not just my child's direct teachers, all know her by name and clearly love and care for her. We are starting new baby in the infant room next year and are not nervous (although bittersweet) in leaving her in the capable hands of Dreamers.

I was beyond happy and comfortable leaving my kiddos in great hands!!! My son started at age of 2 1/2 and my daughter at 10 months old. They were always so happy to see the teachers and go to daycare. My son would even ask me to take him on the weekends! We recently moved from Cicero and now we are 40 minutes away. Therefore I had to find something closer to home. We were so sad to be leaving! Ms Sandra is a wonderful director and all her teachers go above and beyond. I also love the Brightwheel app they have to see and know what your child is doing. If you need a great daycare near the area- this is the one!
