Our family has had a wonderful experience at AMT over several years. They are truly an extension of our family and have taken phenomenal care of our children - nurturing them and helping them grow, develop, and learn. We have built long-lasting friendships that have survived different elementary schools and activities due to the tight bond the children built while at AMT. The same teachers that welcomed our oldest child when we first started so many years ago are the same teachers that are seeing our youngest child off to kindergarten at the end of this year. The consistency of staffing and lack of turnover are truly unique and it is one of the primary factors that led us to AMT in the first place (and we have not been disappointed!). There will be many tears shed by multiple members of our family when our last child graduates and we move on from this phenomenal, nurturing, home-away-from-home that has been so instrumental in the development of who our children have become. We are eternally grateful for the incredible staff and administration at AMT who have made the lives of these two working parents so much easier and less stressful knowing our children are in the most capable and loving care while away from us. read more

Did not provide a safe place for my child and constant fighting during recess. I am not happy

My kids attended AMT for about 2 years, give or take a few months. Here's a quick summary: Pros: 1. Teachers really care about the kids, it's evident. 2. Kids are always busy doing something productive - with quick bouts of free play intertwined. 3. The location is in an actual school which was nice. 4. Cool field trips. 5. Open almost everyday of the year with the exception of basic holidays. 6. Good Christmas season and graduation "shows". Cons: 1. Too expensive! Summer Camp alone for one of my kids was over 225/week - NOT INCLUDING the swim pass, or field trip fees. 2. No referral credit if you refer new families. 3. Billing procedure was irritating. We had 2 kids there and they combined their "accounts" without breaking the credits down on the statements by kids. We paid nearly $23,000 for ONE FULL YEAR for 2 kids. $23,000. Yes, that's not a typo. I did not even pay that much on my mortgage, alright? That's messed up. So, to sum it all up, it was a great program if you have a ton of money to spend. The academics of the place were great. Teachers were wonderful. Just make sure you either have rich parents who can help you out, or you bring in a nice chunk of change yourself. read more

We sent our very shy, "Covid Kid", two year old to AMT three days a week for socialization based on very positive word of mouth referrals. The teachers have been so kind and patient with her, and her social skills have vastly improved. AMT has such a nice community feel, the food is organic, and the teachers have been there for years & years - such pros! The indoor facility is just ok, but is decorated with loads of kid art, and the acres of outdoor playgrounds/space can't be beat! read more

Our children attended AMT for years--both the before/after program as well as early preschool through K. The teachers here are what makes a difference: the teachers each bring many years of experience, knowledge, and care. They truly care and bring so many years of expertise to their classrooms. A Mother's Touch was more than just a daycare or school, it was like a second home for my children. As a parent you want nothing more but the very best for your children and each day when I would drop them off, I would go to work with confidence in knowing that without a doubt they were in good hands. I knew that they were cared for and loved in ways that only a mother can. I can't even begin to express how much of a relief that was for me. My son who is now 15 years old and a sophomore in high school first attended A Mother's Touch when he was a toddler and was there every year up until age 12. He also attended the summer camp program that are offered and he absolutely loved it. My 7 year old daughter attended A Mother's Touch when she was just 8 weeks old up until Kindergarten. So I have had the pleasure of experiencing each classroom that AMT offers. I've never had any complaints, concerns, nor had to question the care of my children. The staff and administrators were always warm and welcoming and treated my family and I like we were all apart of one big family. I'm forever thankful for all the teachers and staff who were there for my children while I was away at work. Not to mention, the incredible education my children received as well. A Mother's Touch had given my children a great head start and the tools needed to succeed as they went on to elementary school. The infant room is rough and it's unclear where the money actually goes. We have since left (after 8 months) due to the following 1) children have been given wrong bottles - including those with other mom's breast milk 2) infant room is small and teachers have tripped over babies, dropping and injuring those they are carrying / tripping over 3) no respect for nap schedules 4) food with high fructose corn syrup 5) repeated diaper rash 6) picked up child at end of day who had a 104 degree temp and teachers "did not know" 7) constant outbreaks of pink eye, strep, flu and other 8) water in classrooms was never hot and needed constant manual refill (i.e. no hot auto flowing water in classroom) 9) very little communication of schedules and activities. THIS FACILITY- of you want to call it that. Is a ZERO! Here's why.... In the beginning of July 2018. We were on a search for a new daycare for a 6yr old and 4yr old. We needed to change due to the district and events that were happening in our family. These little children just lost their beloved mother in April, 2018. Moved into their grandparents house, now changing schools, had their world flip upside down. One child has special needs and is going to a school (during school hrs) so she can get the proper education. We (as a family) had a meeting with the Director (now no longer there), convenient? Maybe.... yet, we stated that we have two children, one that will start school in Aug. will only need morning/afternoon care. In this meeting, we Restated what life changing moments that these little individuals are dealing with in their lives, what accommodations are needed. As a 'Mother's Touch' was well informed on this and gave their up most corporate robot answer that they would love to have the children and could accommodate and fulfill these requirements. Personally I worked in the early childhood field. Having the proper background and education. I am not biased of either sides. This is what baffles and irritates me to the core... As a former preschool teacher who has worked with special need kids, who needed more one on one. In a DAYCARE SETTING, not a special needs school!Has given that attention to the child as needed so. So, not even two weeks went by. There were some incident reports (as expected). Change was very difficult for this child, as what this child has been threw. They gave the robot BULL SHIT answer "we are concern for (blank) and others kids. While I do care 100% about other children's safety. This child needed to get adjusted- was promised by the director that she could step in and help guide her. While get this load of crap! That NEVER took place! As it was the end of summer camp, their father and myself had to go there sign the child out and ATTEND fieldTRIP outings, then sign in AGAIN! Why the FUCK WERE WE PAYING THEM (parents, guardians, you know child care isn't cheap!!!) when we are watching our kid? There is a reason why they are going there in the first place. As in the last week, this child did have a routine down, and was doing amazing (what all children urn for). At the end of a long drawn out horrible experience. When these children had no mom, and left their other daycare center (amazing) of district. We were asked to leave... to start all over, days before school started. The Assistant Director, was rude when I went to pick up a check they owed us. Negative attitude, very dismissive. She said Quote " we love "child's name" and it's not about her, I have had a hard time too! " WTF!!!! she had the audacity to place herself in this!!! Frankly, I don't care about her struggles!! This is about a child that they knew her circumstances and told lies about accommodating her care! I could care less about a grown ass woman issues! Conceited and no empathy much? Hope this helps any parents/guardians out there with your search for a childcare facility for your children! read more

My niece attends A Mother's Touch in Arlington Heights and LOVES it! She enjoys being around the other kids and has so much self confidence because of her time spent there. Can't say enough about the staff! read more

My daughter went to AMT for 5 years. We had nothing but an awesome experience. The teachers are totally awesome. Teachers truly care about the children. I have even remained friends with some. The environment is great given they are in a old school building. Very clean and well maintained. I would recommend AMT to other parents. read more

Excellent daycare. Teachers are great - both of my kids have attended AMT. Yes, it is pricey, but it is on par with other daycares in the area. Kids are showered in affection and encouragement. Play based learning and includes dance, Spanish and other programs. They open at 6:30am and close at 6:00pm. Fabulous outdoor space - different areas for each age range. Breakfast, lunch and snack is included. They can work with food allergies or special diets as well. read more
