Upon enrollment, both administration and teachers encouraged my breastfeeding. This was incredibly important because as any Breastfeeding or a Pumping Mom knows, it is a commitment and labor of love! They were welcome to pick up and drop off feeding sessions, which was incredibly helpful when transitioning back to full time employment. My daughter has flourished in the Infant Montessori environment. The children are given the freedom to roam the room - which she adores! When I pick her up she is happy and smiling, interacting with the other babies and teachers. It is so apparent that the teachers adore the students as well! I am completely comfortable knowing she is so well taken care of. I can't ever express enough gratitude to the staff at BGMS. If I can't be a SAHM, this is the most ideal alternative. I can only hope more people are able to have the experience I have! We are planning to keep our daughter at Buffalo Grove Montessori through Kindergarten. His room leads worked with him regularly on the exercises and activities recommended by his many, many therapists to help him make progress, which was over and above what I expected. I also appreciated the "extra" fun events (like pajama day) and curriculum-focused schedule. My son attended there for two months at the end of 2020 in the toddler room. The teachers and directors are absolutely amazing. They have an app to get constant updates and photos/videos and they all have been very accommodating to certain needs I had in order to support the work being done with my son's speech therapist and nutritionist. They also take Covid-19 very seriously. They don't allow anyone but the children inside the building(pickup/drop off is done on the porch), teachers and students over two always wears masks(and parents have to wear masks at pickup/drop off), they take the temp of the children and parents at drop off, and every day when I would pick up my son I could see teachers/aids through the window in the door cleaning/sanitizing toys. Also, the few times they did have a potential threat they closed the school for a week, longer in the rooms where the threat occurred, and had professional sanitizing done in the entire facility. Yes, it was a pain to go without childcare for a week or two but we didn't have to pay for that time and I personally think it is worth it for the safety of my family. However, in December my son was suddenly diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. In fact, it was the detailed reports from Kindercare about my son's urine output and behavior change that helped us determine something was wrong and led to the discovery that he has a tumor in his bladder. Being non-verbal at almost two we may not have discovered it as soon without their thorough attentiveness and feedback. Needless to say this was a very emotional and stressful time for our family and the angel of a director started a meal train, as well as working with the staff and families to put together a giant gift basket of toys and snacks for my son. The outpouring of support from the staff and the other families(who didn't even know us) has been absolutely overwhelming, in the best way possible. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes. We had only been with them for a few months, but we were already a part of the family. They held our spot, at no charge, and now that we have a grasp on handling his cancer treatments, we will be returning later this month. They are letting him return to the toddler room, even though he has since turned 2, because it's familiar and he's a bit out of sorts right now from everything he's going through. They will wait to move him to the 2 year old room until he gets comfortable being back. In the short time my son was there last year his language and social development increased DRAMATICALLY. He's still non-verbal, but before we had to take a leave of absence he was so close to talking I could taste it!!!! I can't wait to get him back there as soon as possible. To say they are amazing is an understatement!

We currently work with Elda and Gisel in the Eggs classroom, and these two teachers and their aides could not be more devoted to the children they work with. They clearly love each child, and know them very, very well. I also appreciate Busy Bees' willingness to communicate and partner with parents. As much as Busy Bees has been instructive for my kids, I've also learned a lot from the Montessori method they employ and the caring, fantastic staff they hire. Luckily we did get a chance for someone to show us around. During the tour the only thing that I disliked was the amount of clutter in the cooking area and the bathrooms. The open space in the center was nice and the kids were really friendly. Service wise I think this site could do better accommodating family's with Teachers who only need some months of the year. This place would would rather lock you in for a full year. If you are in the Arlington Heights area and only need a few months out of the year don't waste your time here; your better of not wasting time and looking elsewhere. They are also very flexible in scheduling, we have consistent days but can add an extra if needed. If you are looking for daycare I would definitely recommend going here!
