Contact the facility, by phone call or visit the website and setup an appointment for visit. 2. After visiting the area, admire not only the how large the facility is, but notice how things are arranged. Or that someone is always around to help. You can see what your family member, friend or acquaintance will do once they're inside. . 3. Relax and know that when they enter, will receive excellent care. With activities that help maintain or improve mental & physical health. Which will not only give you peace of mind, but improve their overall quality of life. I can't recommend Glen Park Mariposa enough. The staff takes amazing care of my Dad, and I know it's not easy. The staff at the front desk are kind and I love walking in and chatting with them when I arrive. We love all the activities that Maria Mullen comes up with. Some of our best memories with our Dad are dancing in the main room at the Gala last year. My mom moved to Glen park mariposa two years ago after having stayed at another assisted living and a few skilled nursing facilities. My family and I are so happy that she is here. The staff are caring, communicative and friendly. They all know her by name and know her personality and health issues. The director is especially attentive to the needs of the people who live here. With the growing Korean population, she brought in a Korean chef 4 days a week and a Korean activities director as well as the usual activities director. Both are fantastic. After visiting several assisted living facilities, my family and I knew Glen Park would be the best place for my mom. From the moment I walked in, Bryana was very caring, patient and kind. She knew all the residents there- greeting every single one we passed as she gave me a tour. She also asked many questions about my mom to be sure her transition would be smooth and her needs would be met. She was there every step of the way to be sure my mom would feel comfortable and safe in her new home. Now, It has been several months since my mom has been there and my mom is happy! I visit her anywhere from once to several times a week at different times of the day and I see how hard the staff works to ensure each of their residents is being attended to. Also, their entertainment director, Maria, works hard to be sure the residents have fun and engaging activities. There is never a dull moment from playing bingo to creating crafts to creative workouts to parties and live music the level of involvement they have with the residents is non-stop. I watch Maria and Nancy and other caregivers continuously attend to each participant resident. Also, they go on trips anywhere from The Grove to Disneyland to Olvera Street and many more! And I hear the excitement of their excursion not just from my mom, but from other residents as well, so kudos, Maria! The office staff is also amazing! They help me with reminders for my mom which I truly appreciate. Tanya, Leslie, Crystal, and Kenya are courteous and are always there to answer any questions I may have as well as address any concerns. I can't express how grateful I am to have them care for my mom. Since her stay there I can tell her social, emotional and physical well being has improved! read more

Excellent facility for elderly. Clean environment and in good location. There is a good resident activity programs. The staffs are well traied and organized with kind haarted. Especially Glenpark provides Korean staff who can help Korean residents which is important with their family members to communicate. Also it was nice to have good Korean food program. read more

I'm a former resident and I wanted to express my views about Glen Park first of all its a very clean place staff is good however the manager of this place Marina Pink is a total and complete flake she's never around the facility and the only time she comes is when there's a staff christmas party she also disrepects staff and residence such as myself I think she needs to removed from her position and replaced with a more professional and caring person I also feel that this place needs to be more orginized and the food needs to be upgraded I could go on and on with this bottom line I will never recomend this place to anyone!!! read more

I would like to start by saying how Clean and well maintained both facilities were. I found the staff to be very friendly and they all seemed passionate about their work and genuinely appear happy to be of service. The residence who live there seemed very happy and well taken care. What I was most impressed by was Brigitte who gave me the tour. upon meeting her, I found her to be very welcoming. She was extremely patient and professional. She took her time and introduced me to some of the staff and residence. She even gave a history lesson about the facility and explained to me, how they care for the residence. She seemed very passionate about her work and I cannot stress how friendly she was. My experience at Glen Park was amazing and I would highly recommend Glen Park to anyone. I have to echo the other previous reviews, we looked at several residences, and Glen Park had the most to offer, was clean and was also the most reasonably priced. My wife and I were pleased with the services at Glen Park. My mother needed a place to live while she was recovering from a rapid onset of dementia and was being treated. Thankfully she has recovered very nicely with Glen Parks help and was able to return home. It is well run, cheerful and inviting. We have had great outcomes with the clients we have had living in the Glen Park buildings. Our little non profit looks to find the best value facilities where quality care is affordable and Glen Park embodies this. Several of their locations participate in state-funded programming to help ensure that residents will be able to age-in-place even after they spend down their legacy. Specifically speaking about the local Glendale locations, I have worked with placing seniors into both of these facilities. Communication has been great with the administrators of the Glendale locations as well as the care and admissions staff. The facility staff have been collaborative with outside care agencies and always been able to coordinate the needed DME, wound care, nursing care or other needed outside services that aren't part of the care plan directly provided by facility staff. We couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with and to care for our clients. read more

When it came time to seek placement for our elderly love one with Alzheimer's, we were fortunate enough to get a referral to Glen-Park Residences. Charlotte, a Retirement Counselor for Glen-Park, spoke with us first and began the process immediately. Annie, also a Retirement Counselor, took charge of the entire placement process the moment we made contact with her. She provided us guidance, information, reassurance and handled the logistics of transferring our loved one from the hospital into placement at Glen-Park. The staff and caregivers at Glen-Park have displayed continual compassion, genuine concern and competency in caring for the residents. This is a lock-facility, which means the residents cannot walk off of the property (for their own safety). It has a homey, welcoming feel however and does not feel clinical or institutional. I visit frequently unannounced never on the same schedule and have always found the rooms and common areas clean, well-staffed and constant activities being provided such as live-music, crafts and old movie screenings. The staff have an active interest in a relationship with family members of their residents. We feel extremely at-ease with our loved one being at Glen-Park. There is an open-door policy for visits and taking your family member to doctor appointments and outings is easy. The staff are very communicative about resident needs, health observations and over-all well-being. It can be very challenging and stressful when a loved one advances with a degenerative memory disease like Alzheimer's or dementia. Seeking resources and help was not an easy task, especially dealing with the hospital. We truly felt Annie and the entire staff at Glen-Park understood our situation because of their experience in dealing with memory patients and the elderly. That eased so much of the stress in this transition and Glen-Park is a valuable resource in the on-going care of our loved one. She deserves the dignity, care, socialization and supervision that Glen-Park provides. read more

My mother just moved to Glen Park Healthy Living, Glendale. When I first toured Glen Park, after my first visit, I knew this is where I wanted to place my mother. It reminded me of a very nice hotel. When you first walk in the lobby you're met with a friendly staff member who is eager to assist me. The rooms (private or shared) are very homey, clean and accommodating. The living room is roomy and modern. The dining room is open and the food is great. There are lots of activities, patios and freedom for the clients to move about. Glen Park is a very inviting, clean, well-maintained facility. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always accommodating. Annie Cardillo, the Retirement Counselor, was so kind and very thorough. She made my mother feel right at home from the first day we moved her in. My mother moved into the facility December 2016, and she loves it!! My mother is in a room by herself with her own bathroom. The room is the perfect size for her. The cleaning staff comes almost every day to clean her room, which is fantastic. She even has her laundry done weekly, and the staff comes in to hang all her clothes for her in her closet. She really feels like a princess. She has made many friends. The structure that Glen Park offers is exactly what she needed, and the activities available to her during the day have made her life so much more fulfilling.
