Excellent Marina. Clean, well organized, quaint... like Home. We actually spent our thanksgiving day at the Marina. Had a feast on the boat. There was no staff at the Marina because it was Thanksgiving day, but, everything was set for us when we arrived as was promised. We had a wonderful day and evening. Only comments for future advice... I think it would be great if the staff warned that the side current coming into the harbor could be quite strong... and we should have asked for the wireless password before we arrived... that was OK though - it prevented us from working and kept us focused on a family first thanksgiving. read more

The marina is the best kept property I have experienced. My boat has been here for 2 years and I love it! They have spent a lot of time and money on security upgrades, bathhouse and laundry upgrades and really cleaned up the dangerous elements that were here 3 years ago. There is plenty of parking now too. The community is so warm and welcoming, of something happens (which is bound to at any marina) someone always speaks up and the marina is swift to handle it appropriately ! I tell all my friends to bring their boat here or just come enjoy the beautiful paradisiac atmosphere. read more

Glen Cove Marina - Sunset off Glen Cove - Marinas Near Me - Vallejo, California

Use to be keep my boat there until we moved it to the Delta. They have not returned my security deposit and attempted to keep the key deposit claiming it was to cover the cost of their lock system upgrade. According to California law, deposits are not to be used to cover capital upgrades. I have call multiple times and give the run around, check in the mail, new accounting system upgrade..... Now it's looking like I'm going to have to take them to court, to get my money back. This use to be a good marina with a great location, not anymore. Renter beware. If you decide to keep your boat here, you may have the same problem. read more

I received a lengthy reply from the marina owner, who declined to give his name. You can read it below. He negated, one by one, everything I had to say. This explains why conditions are so bad there -- if they're already perfect, they don't need to be fixed, right? How sad. I accepted his challenge. I went to Glen Cove Marina on Saturday. I walked the property. I couldn't talk to the staff, because the office was closed even though it was during business hours. I did talk to some of the tenants, though. And I took some pictures. Cool tucked away location in an upscale part of Vallejo away from the riff raff although lock your car! This was told to me by a crazy lady who wandered the parking lot pointing out that people slept on the boats in the marina and the barking Rottweiler at the pier was due to the Solano Rowing Club being unthoughtful by rowing past the dog on their way out of the harbor. (How else are you supposed to access the open waters?) Ah Vallejo..... read more

This marina feels like a private oasis. It's protected from the wind and offers a beautiful cove view of the hills across the way. We like that it's smaller and more personable than the other marinas near by, and the grounds surrounded by palm trees and jasmine are surprisingly well kept. read more

So it had been a hectic trip up the Sacramento Delta on my dads 24' Islander Bahama. The two guys going with me decided they wanted to cut 8 hours off their time by not cruising from Oakland to Martinez. I got stuck in the mud in Martinez Marina because the harbormaster failed to tell me the guest berth had such a shallow draft at low tide. So after a late start I started powering back towards Oakland where our home slip is. After passing the Antioch bridge my motor started making a funny noise. After passing the Carquinez strait bridge, a part flew out the back spraying oil everywhere, the starter rope stopped working, and I was dead in the water. I quickly jumped up on deck to raise the sail so I could have some degree of control over the boat. Turned out a screw had worked its way loose from fuel pump on the outboard. I floated underneath the Carquinez bridge for a while while trying to find a replacement screw. Then I heard a "PHRURP PHRURP PHRURP!" I went back above, and there was a Sheriff boat there. Sheriff, "YOU ALRIGHT?" Me, "YA, BUT MY OUTBOARD IS SHOT, A SCREW FELL OUT AND THE FUEL PUMP FELL OFF" Sheriff, "YOU GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE, A CONTAINER SHIP IS COMING THROUGH!" Me, "CAN YOU GIVE ME A TOW TO THE NEXT MARINA?" Sheriff, "WE'RE NOT A TOW SERVICE, CALL VESSEL ASSIST" Bastards! I turned my ship around and started going back the way I came. It wasn't hard, downwind is always easy. I looked at the entrance to Glen Cove. No way I was gonna be able to maneuver that with no power. There was another cove just east of the Marina. I figured I could anchor there for the night, out of the way of passing container ships. When I got there I found a family on a sailboat with a couple of Jet ski's buzzing around. I explained my situation to them and the Jet ski's towed my boat into Glen Cove. Overall it was an awesome experience. One of the maintenance guys at Glenn Cove dug around a box to find me a replacement screw. The bathrooms were very clean. My only complaint is there was no restaurants anywhere near the marina that I could see. Then again the Marina sits in a cove surrounded by hills, and I wasn't really in the mood to climb to the top. They had free wifi which was great! My GPS chart plotter is my netbook, so I tuned into a Beatles internet radio station while working on the motor, and watched TV shows on Hulu. It kind of helped melt the stress away. I stayed there one emergency night, and one extra night because I loved the place. I know they recently dredged it out, so it's gotten even better. If it wasn't so far away, I'd love to have this as my home berth. read more

After speaking with Dan, an employee of the marina about my reviews of Glen cove, I'm changing my review to reflect that conversation. I lived here for about a year aboard my boat. It was quiet and out of the way and I had many friends there. I shared my wifi with about 8 other boaters, some who were also live aboard. I worked as a volunteer for the red cross in my spare time and fished every chance i got. I've experienced some serious trauma in the past 3 years and the solitude and peace was what I needed. I didn't mind the older facilities or not having any gas or food nearby. The trade for the quiet was worth it to me. I interacted with Heather in the office most of that time and she was always polite and even friendly to me. I'm sad to say that after some sort of change in management with a person named Rachel, that things turned bad very quickly. I made a complaint about a party that lasted until 4am and was met with disrespect and attitude for it. Instead of simply saying "we'll work with you to fix this" , this manager instead fired off emails to rebuke and disclaim any responsibility for both the noise and vandalism but also any responsibility to the individuals who pay to live there. After that, I was suddenly given notice of 72 hours to leave, saying my friends dog had defecated on the dock. I was shocked and upset, not only at the calloused nature of the act, by at the unapologetic and self righteous attitude I received as well. I appreciate the call from Dan telling me that he would correct the shorting of my deposit, and his candid nature admitting that there may be some unnecessarily hostile attitudes coming from that office. I really hope they work on correcting the methods they use in dealing with people who bring in money monthly to pay their salaries and realize that even if they have the might to throw people out over a dispute under maritime law, it still doesn't make it right. read more

I love this marina! It is the home of the Solano Rowing Club - part of the bay area whale boat rowing association (BAWRA). The staff team are fantastic! The marina is very quiet and very clean. The berth prices are very reasonable for a covered berth. So far we've had absolutely no issues since we've been there. read more

I've been at the Glen Cove Marina for about 5 years now. I love the fact that it's so quiet. Most people don't even know this marina exists. We ordered a pizza from a local place and they could not find the marina LOL. The staff is friendly and helpful and they work hard to keep everything in good shape. It would be nice to have a deli or small store here but there really isn't enough traffic to make it profitable. Most everyone at this marina is friendly and it has a great laid back vibe. If you are in the area it's a great place to come for a day or 2 and relax. Just note that its a long walk to the Safeway and there are no services here. Gas/ Diesel is either Benicia or Vallejo and there is no boat ramp here. That is probably the reason it's so peaceful and quite. read more

Better think twice about keeping a boat here. Management is unbearable and rude, there are no amenities near by, the boats are broken into constantly, the bathrooms consist of 2 nasty toilets and 3 cramped showers which are always full and gross, the parking is a joke because there are Mexicans who keep their vans in the lot for months and you have to drive backwards to get out of the place, the vandalism to property is nearly constant, power to the docks is unreliable, the docks themselves are narrow and in disrepair, and maneuvering through the narrow berths here will cost you big in terms of scrapes and dents to your vessel. I'd go to Benecia or Vallejo if you must be in this area. This marina is all about taking your money and giving you nothing but headaches in return! Service to their renters comes last here. I'm so glad I moved to Benecia over a year ago!! read more

Homeless people everywhere and the entire staff was very rude. Went in the office to try to give this place a shot but the manager lady was rude and acted like she didn't care about my business. Wish I would have never stopped here. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. read more

Great marina. I have kept my boats all over the bay for the last 20 years this is by far the nicest marina. Rachel and her staff are easy to deal with, you can tell they take a lot of pride in the marina. It is always clean and well kept, and my boat neighbors have turned out to be friendly and respectful. I wish all the harbor masters I have dealt with had half the class and personality of Rachel. I cant say enough good things about glen cove, its a quite, peaceful hidden gem. read more

Very disappointing. My family and I were very excited to move our boat from Suisun to Glen Cove and spent about a month and a half (and considerable money) in preparation. The day before the move I was told that the owner had already decided to raise rent 17% and that our signed agreement waz subsequently void. I myself am a landlord and would never dream of raising rents inside of a year let alone the first month of a contract. In the grand scheme there of course are bigger crimes in the world but let it be known that I would never do business with an owner who thinks so little of their tenants. It's not like Bay Area slips are hard to come by. On a different note the employees at this marina are extremely courteous, professional and we'll informed. Maybe their boss could take a lesson from them. Just think twice before entertaining bringing your boat here. With businesses like this it's no wonder Vallejo has the problems it does. Conversely Suisun marina (although difficult to get to) treats you much better and hasn't raised rates in 5 years. read more
