I have decades of teeth scans and the degradation only started after her treatment. Today I saw a different orthodontist - the changes that Dr. Cheng made to my bite makes my lower teeth contact my upper front teeth. It's lots of force to my front teeth. It's likely that their treatment and changes to my bite caused this. Not only has that constant contact likely caused root deterioration, I've had jaw pain and clicking, and my lower teeth are worn. I will be redoing Invisalign with a new ortho to correct these issues.

Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

Their facility is very clean and welcoming, they have TVs installed into the ceiling to help distract the kids, and just a great environment overall. The only thing is that we're not fully covered with our insurance provider, Delta Dental, which is something OPDSF was transparent about from the start. Delta does reimburse some of the cost but under half. For now, we will continue going to OPDSF because the experience was so great.

Previous adjustments had been provided at no charge. When I scheduled this appointment, I was initially told there would be a fee, but it was ultimately waived, which I appreciated. At the beginning of the appointment, I explained that I was experiencing multiple issues with my retainers. The doctor adjusted the bottom retainer and put it back in, but then immediately raised my chair, even as I was pointing to my top retainer and trying to explain that it was also causing pain. Rather than asking me about the issue, she called an assistant over and asked her to help me. The assistant did not seem to understand what I needed. When the doctor returned, she began the conversation by asking, "Okay, everything good now? Are you happy?" This felt really dismissive because I was clearly still trying to explain that there was an unresolved issue and that wearing the top retainer was painful. I felt as though I was being rushed out rather than listened to. When I explained the problem, the doctor suggested that I see a dentist, even though the pain occurs specifically when I wear the retainer. I understand that the office was busy and I did not mind waiting. However, the expectation of the appointment was to have all of my issues addressed in one visit so I would not need to come back. I still left in pain. I also did not feel comfortable continuing to ask questions or bring up the other issues I was experiencing with the retainer, because it felt like there was a lack of willingness to help and more of a push to move the appointment along. It became an increasingly uncomfortable experience. I ultimately left feeling like I had not been fully heard or able to address everything I came in for. I would have appreciated a few additional minutes of clear communication, patience, and an effort to fully understand and resolve the issues before ending the appointment or referring me elsewhere.
