Dr. Mahood and the team here are incredible. I've had issues with TMJ and chronic migraines, and a dentist years back had sold me an NTI mouthguard that gave me a nightmarish open bite. I had trouble pronouncing certain sounds and my TMJ had only gotten worse. Other orthodontists and dentists told me it was a lost cause, but Dr Mahood was confident that she could fix my open bite. And fix it she did! My bite feels aligned, and I'm back to speaking normally now. My confidence at work is restored :) Not to mention my TMJ has chilled out. I've just finished 2.5 YEARS in Invisalign with Bella Smile! My case was complicated with multiple teeth extractions, -I still had baby teeth in my thirties etc. I really did a month of research and narrowed down choosing an Orthodontist to two places before trusting Dr.Mahood with planning my treatment. I chose Bella smile because when I I met Dr.Mahood I felt it was the right choice -her professional caring persona , and the treatment plan was explained very well. She had confidence she could treat me , other places did not seem as confident (again mine was complicated) . Bella Smile has changed my life. I had an open bite and cross bite for years. I had several consultations on my bite from orthodontists and surgeons in many states. I was constantly told I would need metal braces and reconstructive jaw surgery which still had a high chance of relapse and my bite could open once again. Terrified of this extremely invasive surgery, I decided to search high and low for an orthodontist who could possibly help my bite with Invisalign alone. I started Invisalign during Covid and the office took exceptional safety precautions to make me feel safe. In terms of the Invisalign experience, everything was great from my initial consultation to my final retainer fitting. The whole process is top notch and a luxurious experience. I discovered Bella Smile through some friends who had used her services for their Invisalign in SF. They all raved about her practice, her staff and her office. I decided to check out for myself what all the fuss was about. I didn't think I needed Invisalign b/c I thought my teeth were okay, despite some mild crowding. What I didn't realize that was that crowding would likely lead to more plaque buildup and possibly gum issues. My challenge is that I didn't want to go through the normal length of time to do Invisalign so thank god I found Bella Smile! Both Dr. Garnett and Dr. Mahood helped fix my crowding and overbite over the course of 9 months (shaving off 1/3 of the time with the Prolon process) I will admit that this whole process was very daunting as I wasn't sure about how to manage the trays, the cleaning solutions, and just living with it day to day, but the entire staff was always helpful whenever I had questions, and if there were ever any last minute issues. I inadvertently lost one of the hooks on my teeth and Dr. Garnett's staff was super accommodating me and seeing me inpatient same day to help me solve my problem. The whole team, from the front desk to Dr. Garnett and Dr. Mahood provide a deep level of attention and patient care that I have not seen in an of the other doctor offices I have on my roster (and I have a lot of doctors I see). Phenomenal care and experience!! 100% recommend. - I initially heard about Bella Smile from a friend who also received care from here. They had nothing but good things to say. - My first visit was complimentary to provide estimates. I shopped around to verify that the prices were fair. Bella Smile provided a faster timeline (by 3 months or so). - My initial timeline was expected to be between 6 months and 12 months. I finished in 10 months. My bottom teeth were crowded in enough to bother my tongue, and my back molars were completely offset from the rest of my teeth. The bottom front teeth were difficult to move, but Bella Smile managed it in record time! - I paid up front and got a 5% discount as well as the orthodontic accelerator for free (~$600 value). - All of the staff (dentists, assistants, receptionists) were phenomenal. They would explain what they were doing and do it extremely well and comfortably. - In total, I went through 3 sets of trays (13, 13, 10), and they were accelerated to 1 week each. It was about 2-3 weeks between trays. - Each appointment was easy to remember (they'd text and send an email confirmation). Bella Smile is by far the best orthodontists experience I've ever had. The entire staff is always extremely helpful and welcoming. This office also seems to use very new Ortho technology such as 3D scanning your mouth to get the best fit for invisalign treatment. On top of that it is always extremely clean. I had an extreme open bite that other orthodontist said I would need to break my jaw and receive jaw surgery (something I really didn't want to do). However, Dr. Mahood said that she could fix my bite with invisalign treatment. She did exactly that, I now have a perfect bite and smile! Something I haven't had my entire life. Last Tuesday was my last day having treatment with Bella Smile on Page Street. I went to Bella Smile for Invisalign who was recommended to me by my awesome dentist Dr. Greg Chong. I started Invisalign in February of 2021 and finished March of 2022. I will continue my treatment with Bella Smile after my implants are done in a couple of months. All the staff at Bella Smile on Page are always very helpful. Mathew the receptionists would always great you with a big smile and makes your scheduling your appointment easy. Consultation and everything leading up to the final message from Dr. Mahood went really well. They observed and pointed out issues with my bite that I tried to express to previous orthodontists who didn't see it. So that gave me some hope that they could give me a normal bite again. They requested my previous records from past orthodontic work so they can see the changes. When I sent them my records I received the disappointing news. First, they couldn't see it all bc the files were too big. I offered to come by in person to show them all of it and explain in detail what I went through. That was glossed over. I was told that they didn't feel like they could do better than what I had in the photos.... forgetting that what I have now is NOT what I had in the photos--very far from it actually--and that my goal was to revert my teeth arrangement as closely to the way were before so I could bite normal again. I paid $275 for a second opinion fee, was led to believe they understood my bite complications during the consultation, only to be told that my teeth in the photos from 1-3 years ago (which are not how they are now) already look really good. I'm sad that they are ranked the 2nd best orthodontist in the bay area. It's for a reason i'm sure. But i threw my money into this window for nothing. read more

A couple of work friends and I happened to all get Invisalign at the same time, and we've been comparing notes. I'm almost done with my comprehensive Invisalign under the care of Dr Mahood and her amazing team at Bella Smile, and with my second refinement on the way, I feel 100% confident in saying that I've gotten the best care, hands down. First off, they give you all the things you need to succeed the entire treatment through. Wax, elastics, extra cases for your trays, floss, chewies, tools to pull your stubborn elastics into place, spare toothbrushes, a fancy zip-up bag to store all this Invisalign swag.
