I suspect he's been damaging bikes in the past. After loading it he exercised the flat bed back and forth in a jerking action. I will never use this company for motorcycle towing ever again. Their trucks are not prepared for non wrecked bikes. They will damage your bike if they are summoned to tow it.

A towing company should take reasonable care of customers' vehicles and provide clear information regarding the reason for a tow. I strongly recommend documenting your vehicle's condition before and after any tow and asking for all towing and authorization records if you believe your vehicle was improperly towed. When the United Tow driver arrived, they declined to tow the vehicle because a small chest freezer was in the truck bed. The freezer was secured with ratchet straps, fully contained within the bed, and the tonneau cover could close over it. The requested destination was approximately two miles away. The driver stated that the freezer presented a liability issue and refused to provide the tow. No inspection or discussion of possible alternatives took place. The explanation was brief, and the interaction was dismissive, particularly after the extended wait. I understand that a towing company may decline a vehicle or load it considers unsafe. However, in this case, the freezer was secured and covered. If United Tow has a policy against towing vehicles containing cargo, that policy should be communicated to AAA and customers before dispatching a truck and requiring them to wait for assistance. Based on this experience, I believe AAA should review whether United Tow is an appropriate recommended provider. I would not use or recommend United Tow in the future.

Mauro showed up within a few minutes and after testing the battery he said that I would have to purchase a new one as it was not holding charge.
