I was referred to Glass America by my insurance agent when a tree limb hit shattered my rear window. The customer service rep and the installer could not have been nicer and more responsive. The problem was that glass fell into the rear door assembly during the removal and installation leaving glass rattling around every time I opened the hatch. I had them come back, which they did quickly and they vacuumed out more glass. I was told the remailing glass would come out of the two holes in the bottom of the door. Not acceptable. I did not want glass falling into the rear of my car, on the driveway, whatever. I called my insurance agent who had the glass company rep reach out. He did once, and never followed up. Glass America kept telling me it was normal for glass to remain in the door. Not acceptable. They also said I could have a detailer take the lock mechanism off and clean the rest of the glass out. Seriously? I had an oil change scheduled at Subaru and I asked them about it. They were astounded they left my car in that condition. I wound up paying Subaru to take the door apart and cleaning out the glass. An hour of labor to clean up another company's mess. read more

Where are the 12 stars when you need them. My experience started with a phone conversation with Heather. She is welcoming and informative. She also reassured me the cracked glass as it spread would not shatter which is did not. Heather called me to update on when the replacement glass was coming in. We set up an appointment immediately as the replacement glass arrived. KC "Master or Expert" Technician made light work of the repair. KC quality of work is 2nd to none. This man takes pride in each glass repair; he's a dying breed because you don't meet many people like him who operate as the highest level = excellence is the goal. Haven't even got my windshield installed yet and I'm already disappointed. Called to make an appointment and was told it could be done the next day. At about 4:30 that afternoon got a call from the actual shop that told me they should of not given me that appointment because they were overbooked. I then took an appointment for the following day so I drove my truck to work with a smashed windshield in order to have it replaced. Now I get another call saying my new windshield came in damaged so it can't get replaced . So now I need to drive my truck back home then back to work again with a severely broken windshield and hope that they will actually show up and get the job done. read more

From the wonderful women who set up the appointments and take the claims, the knowledgeable glass technicians to the manager John everyone was so helpful and kind. My windshield was cracked Thursday and they came out to me the next day to replace my windshield. The technician called me promptly at 8:30am (as i was told he would) to let me know about what time he would be coming. My experience here was great. I also requested that a certain type of glass be installed into my car and that was no problem seeing as I was going through my insurance company. The glass technician called and told me what time he would arrive to install my new windshield, but I called the shop to tell them I would just bring my car in instead. The technician and the desk clerk was very nice and pleasant to me. Even when they called my house to let me know my car was ready, my mother said how nice the girl (desk clerk) was. read more

I had the windshield in my car replaced by Glass America, I chose them because I've seen problems with their main competitor's windshields, wavy glass mainly. The woman that called to schedule the appointment was extremely helpful and cooperative, we decided that according to the weather I would either leave the car home and take my other one to work and they'd do it there, or I'd leave it home and a tech would pick it up and do it at their shop. On the day of the appointment the tech called me, asking if there were any quirks with the car or anything he should know. I told him about the antenna for remote start and the alarm and that the car is lowered quite a bit. Being a car guy himself he pointed out that he saw the lowering and would drive it accordingly, really put my mind at ease just talking with him for a couple of minutes and seeing that he wasn't full of it. So, when I get home from work there it is, beautiful new windshield and a quality brand, it's been months now and zero problems, and I got the car back cleaner than I had left it. Hopefully I won't need any auto glass in the future, but if I do Glass America will be the shop I choose, great experience here. read more

These guys have the worst communication and customer service. Anyone I've spoken to including the owner was harsh and rude sounding. When I had a legitimate question regarding my windshield replacement, they acted as if I was trying to get something out of them, got completely defensive and told me a manager would call back, never got called back. I was requesting advice only, had no intents on complaining about the service. Maybe they're just bitter jerks for dealing with insurance companies all the time, no excuse though, I am just a customer who needed a question answered, would have been happy with whatever answer they'd have given me, if they had. read more

I had my window fixed by Glass America and got an apt 2 days after the glass had broken. The technician came within the 2 hour time frame and fixed my window. My mom and dad were outside and had said he vacuumed it really good and they gave him a good tip and I went outside and unfortunately, my car was not vacuumed and it was also messy with oil/grease. I was able to clean it up and it was not a huge deal but I did write it in the review for my service apt and I was called about an hour later by a representative that apologized and said that that's not usually how they do business and offered to send a tech to fix those things. Now I already fixed them so I told him it wasn't necessary but I appreciated the call and the apology. He offered to send me a gas gift card and that was just so nice and appreciated. Amazing customer service and they will make sure that you are happy with their services. Would definitely recommend because it's not many companies that get back to you so quickly and try so hard to resolve an issue. :) read more

I wonder if I am reviewing the same company the others have written about. Glass America in Newburgh was professional, courteous, and the repairs were done in a timely and efficient manner...and they repaired or replaced windshields in 3 cars of mine the past winter! I would recommend them to anyone needing glass repair. They even come out to your house if it can be done there. read more
