He estimated 6 weeks for the door to arrive. 6 weeks later on the dot, the installation took place. All appointments were scheduled and conducted on time with highly competent, efficient and friendly employees. Casey and Mark arrived, covered the work area and carpet, and two hours later we had a new smooth operating, clear see-thru, sturdy sliding glass door in place. Extreme disappointment regarding the quality and installation of the 18 Simonton windows I…read morepurchased from JDI. The overall product quality is unsatisfactory, and the installation was subpar. I continue to experience drafts and excessive noise through all the windows. The amount of noise I receive from planes (I live nowhere near an airport) and cars is crazy; it was never like this with my old builder grade windows. Furthermore, the caulking is very sloppy. The owner said he was ok with the work and threatened to place a lien on my property the day after the windows were installed if I didn't pay, even though I was not satisfied. Following the owner's suggestion, I completed a Home Energy Audit. I have attached a few photos from that audit which clearly demonstrate significant temperature differences. I have also attached videos demonstrating the air leakage using a fog machine.(I can't attach all the pictures and videos I have and would be happy to share) After I called the troubleshooter radio show, the owner sent a crew to insulate three of the windows that I felt were the worst (which helped a little). I was then asked to pay for the insulation of the remaining windows. It is unclear why new windows would be installed without proper spray foam insulation in the first place. Additionally, two of the windows still do not close or lock correctly, even after the sashes were replaced twice. Given my significant investment, this has been a regrettable experience.

For one company we interviewed it was LP (engineered wood), for two companies it was Hardie (fiber cement), and for the last company, Superior Industries, it was a material we hadn't heard of before: Gentek ALIGN Composite Cladding (aka Alside ASCEND Composite Cladding). Superior Industries replaced all of our siding, soffits, and facia, and aluminum-wrapped all new trim boards for us. They did precise, high-quality work and it really shows. When I mentioned that another vendor's quote was significantly lower and asked for a formal contract to compare, the rep declined to finalize the contract or calculate exact measurements unless I first shared the competing company's proposal. I explained that I don't share competitor quotes with any vendor, as a matter of fairness, and asked again for Gravina's own formal contract with their best price. I followed up twice over the following week, including a specific deadline for the contract, and received no contract or further response from the rep. I then forwarded the full email exchange directly to the sales director so the company could review it and respond if they chose to. That email also went unanswered. The initial consultation and product information were professional. However, despite being a ready buyer and giving the company multiple opportunities to follow through, I was unable to get a final contract at any level, and ultimately went with another company that provided a complete, firm proposal without conditions.

I've had WestPro come quote the same job twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025. It was two very…read moredifferent experiences to the point of being hard to believe it's the same company. The job is for removal and replacement of soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts on a 1-story ranch with 200 linear feet of gutters. In 2023 a woman came out, did the walk through and then sent me a quote with details about the materials, a cost breakdown for each part of the project - quantity and cost for removal of gutters, removal of downspouts, installation of gutters, installation of downspouts. It was very professional (I work with contractors and job bids for a living) and provided all the necessary details of the cost. In 2023 they refused to address the soffit and fascia so I declined to move forward with them. In 2025 a man came out, did the walk through and then insisted on setting up a follow up appointment to walk through the project quote. I did not receive the info packet ahead of time and was disappointed by what I received - a detailed project description for siding work (presumably for the soffits and fascia but the material was specific to siding installation which isn't relevant to either of those locations) with no scoped quote for any aspect of the project. There were no details of the materials to be used or breakdown of the cost specifics. The dollar amounts were hand written into a spec sheet of "good / better / best" (photo attached because I don't even know what to call it, it's definitely not a job quote). I understand that materials costs have changed significantly and the job might cost more today than two years ago, but if you're going to waste my time with a second meeting to quote the job, actually quote the job. So your experience with WestPro may entirely depend upon the person you randomly end up with as your project coordinator. Homeowner be wary. I'll update this review when I've heard back with legit quotes and decisions on a path forward. For now it's a very unimpressed meh.
