I want to share my full experience at Glamourax because while some things were amazing, there were also challenges with my hair appointment that other clients should know about. I had an appointment on Saturday at Glamourax for hair and makeup before a gala. I was scheduled for 12:30pm for Hollywood waves and makeup. When I originally scheduled my appointment, there was a text exchange with Arax (the manager/owner) where she told me, "The girl who's really good at it is available at 12:30." She also confirmed that Sonna would be my hairstylist. Because of that, I felt confident booking the appointment and trusted I would be getting the Hollywood waves style I requested. For transparency, I will be attaching screenshots of the text messages from when the appointment was scheduled. When I arrived, Sonna was very sweet and kind. I showed her a photo of the Hollywood waves I wanted and trusted that she knew how to achieve that style. During the process there was a lot of hairspray and heat while curling, but I didn't question it because another client next to me was also getting Hollywood waves by a different stylist and her hair looked beautiful, so I assumed everything was going as expected. Unfortunately, when my hair was finished it looked like tight curls everywhere and nothing like the Hollywood waves in the photo I showed. For reference, my hair is medium length, a little past my shoulders, and the tight curls made it appear much shorter than it actually is. Sonna tried brushing the curls out after I mentioned a concern, but it still didn't resemble the style I had asked for. I was then moved to makeup, and I have to say the makeup artist Supo was AMAZING. She checked in with me during every step, asked if I liked what she was doing, and had me look in the mirror throughout the process to make sure I approved. I absolutely loved my makeup and would happily go back to her again if I ever need my makeup done. I left the salon feeling confused and unhappy about my hair, especially since I was getting ready for a gala. I'm not great with confrontation and didn't want to offend Sonna because she was genuinely kind, so I didn't speak up as much as I probably should have in the moment. After I left, I decided to call and see if anything could be done. Arax called me back quickly and was very responsive. I explained that it wasn't about a refund -- I just needed my hair fixed before my event that evening. She tried to see if anyone was available and even offered to pay for me to go somewhere else when the salon was fully booked, which I appreciated. Eventually they were able to have me come back in and two stylists helped me redo my hair. They were very kind and did their best to help on short notice. I ended up with beach waves instead of Hollywood waves, but it looked much better and I was grateful they made the effort to help before my event. While I was there the second time, one stylist sitting behind me seemed visibly frustrated and was staring at me throughout the appointment, which made the situation feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the two stylists who helped redo my hair were kind and professional, and I appreciated them taking the time to help. I also want to mention that Arax was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the whole process. She continued texting with me even after I left the salon the second time to check in and make sure everything turned out okay. I even sent her photos of my final look because I was happy with how everything came together in the end. That level of care and follow-up meant a lot. The salon itself has a really fun atmosphere, it honestly felt like being part of a big glam party while everyone was getting ready, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. My only recommendation would be to make sure the stylist assigned is comfortable with the specific style you're requesting. Since I had been told the stylist was "really good" at Hollywood waves, I had high expectations and was excited for that look for the gala. Overall, I appreciated Arax trying to make things right and I truly loved the makeup Supo did. I just wish the hairstyle I originally requested had been achieved.
Before coming to Glamourax, I honestly had a fear of getting my hair and makeup done. My fiancé's cousin recommended them about a year ago, and since I'm getting married in April 2026, I've now booked them for every event -- and will continue to do so. Anahis is truly the best makeup artist I've ever had. I love a more minimal, natural look and don't like anything overdone, and she really listens. She somehow remembers exactly what I like and don't like about my face even when I haven't seen her in a while, which makes me feel so comfortable and understood every time I come in. Liga does my hair and she is just as amazing. She took the time to try different styles with me to see what I liked, and she made sure everything was perfect for my engagement, pre-wedding shoot, and other events. She even went above and beyond and ran out to get something I needed for my outfit while my makeup was being done -- which I'll never forget. What I appreciate most is how comfortable I feel with both of them. It never feels awkward or rushed -- they truly feel like friends, and that makes such a difference on important days. I absolutely love them and their work, and I'm so excited to come back for my bridal shower, wedding day, and many more events in the future. Highly highlyyyy recommend!

I went to Glamourax in Burbank for a scalp treatment and facial, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the experience. As a guy, I wasn't sure what to expect, and I am always told by friends/family to get something done for my scalp.. But from the moment I walked in, everything felt comfortable, professional, and welcoming. Liga worked on me and she was absolutely amazing -- extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and thorough. She took the time to explain what she was doing, tailored the treatment to my needs, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My scalp felt refreshed, my skin looked noticeably better, and I left feeling relaxed and confident. The space itself is clean, calm, and well-kept, and the overall vibe is very professional. If you're a guy thinking about getting a scalp treatment or facial and you're on the fence, this is 100% the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back and asking for Liga again. Highly recommend!
Everything about this studio is perfection! I've been coming here for a couple years now and I'm left speechless every time! I always get my makeup done with Srpuhie and hair with Liga. I am always left amazed at their work and never have any complaints. They are very assuring, and they make sure that their work is just to your liking. Both Srpuhie and Liga have always done a flawless job and I would trust them fully with any look or style! Always, always, always, my favorites, and I KEEP coming back!!
Natali thanks for making me look less like Mel Gibson and More like Mel H. With my fabulous hair. Shes soooooo talented; the Elon Musk of bleaching brunettes. .....and best part is her color is always consistent. She knows recipe for each client and knocks it out of the park. The salon is clean and has convenient parking with amazing energy!
My first experience at Glamourax guaranteed I'd never go to another hair salon again. I stayed consistent with this and have continuously gotten my haircuts done by Araks. I also got my hair dyed for the first time by Sarah and have been getting it blown out by Marina and the other amazing hair stylists at the salon. Prior to coming to Araks, I was scared to let anyone cut my hair. However, Araks is so amazing at what she does and very careful to make sure she is only cutting as much as you are comfortable with. She takes every minor detail into consideration, pays attention to what you want, and will take her time to go as slow as necessary to ensure she doesn't rush through the process and accidentally cut off more than you want. My hair has also been growing the fastest it ever has since coming here. I recommended her to my friends and heard the same from them as well. I could not possibly recommend a better person to get your hair cut and styled with. She is truly amazing at what she does and you can tell she loves it as well. I had also never gotten my hair dyed but when I decided I wanted to, I knew I had to come to Glamourax. Sarah was the one who dyed my hair and she was also incredible at her job. She looked at my reference pictures and was honest with me about what would work for my hair and what was unrealistic, which is exactly what I think everyone needs. She promised and delivered exactly what I had asked for. My biggest concern was my curl pattern being damaged from the bleach. However, Sarah was very careful with the amount and the way she went about dying my hair. My curl pattern remained exactly the same and it did not mess with my texture either. She also did an incredible job blending it into my natural hair so the growing out process has been great as well! The picture of me with a gray sweater is 3 months after getting it initially dyed and you can tell it still looks well blended and toned. While many of the wonderful ladies at the salon have blown out my hair, my best experiences have been with Marina. She is also incredible at what she does. She takes her time and also considers your hair texture when doing the blowout. My curly hair usually peaks through within the first two days after getting it blown out. However, every time Marina has done it, it's lasted a week. She is also very quick! My hair is thick and usually takes forever, but she is always very fast when blow drying it and still manages to make it look good and last. Overall, all the ladies at this salon are not only incredible at what they do, but they are also kind, social, and welcoming! I have been to many other salons but since coming to Glamourax, I don't think I could ever go to another one that could compare. I attend school in San Diego but commute back to get my hair done here because it's so amazing. Could not recommend a better spot with better stylists. Go to Glamourax!!
WHOA this place is amazing 5 stars all around -- staff is so cool, the salon is clean and organized, and my god is the haircut incredible. They straight up gave me bombshell hair Anna absolutely nailed it after I showed her a photo of Claudia Schiffer on the runway and asked for wispy curtain bangs. My hair also feels so light and healthy now, wow. Can't gush enough about this place Really not easy dealing with a heavy head of knotted, unruly hair like mine. I appreciate you so much, Anna!

This is my 3rd time coming to Glamourax and each time it's an amazing experience. The entire staff is very friendly and I always leave the salon very satisfied and happy with my new haircut. I use to be afraid of getting haircuts because I didn't always have the greatest experiences with other hairstylists but Arax always does an amazing job on my hair. She does exactly what I'm asking/looking for and I leave her chair feeling beautiful every time. read more

I had a fantastic experience hiring my hair stylist and makeup artist from Glamourax for my wedding. - I had Liga ( @hairbyliga ) doing my hair. She was just flat our fantastic! Very attentive, detail-oriented, clearly loves her job and enjoys doing it. I had 2 trials before the big day and both times she spent half a day with me. She came with me to a store to help me choose extensions. She took all my inputs into consideration and made sure the details were just as I wanted them. On the big day, she did a fantastic job as you can see in the pictures. She started at 8:30 a.m and my hair was on point even after midnight! She also stayed a bit more to help me get dressed. - Anna ( @amua_beauty ) was my makeup artist and she did an absolutely beautiful job! My makeup stayed fresh the entire night. I got loads of compliments on how fresh and seamless my makeup was. After my hubby and I had our first-look encounter, of course I cried my eyes out, and messed up my makeup. We called Anna and she immediately came to the ceremony location to fix everything. I very much appreciate that she did this as I have no idea what I would have done if she could not come back! - Arax and the other ladies at the salon were extremely helpful and accommodating to my guests. I had requested Liga and Anna to come to my hotel, and wanted my mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousins, and a few best friends to go to the Glamourax salon for hair and makeup. They were all very happy with the outcome, and all looked absolutely gorgeous! The salon is very transparent about their pricing upfront which was one of the biggest pluses for me. They were also flexible on methods of payment. - Another huge shoutout to both Liga and Anna for helping me set up my family and friends with other stylists and makeup artists at the salon! They scheduled each person in a timely manner, and made sure everyone would be ready in time. Very much appreciate their efforts. Overall 100% recommend this salon and the many wonderful women who work there. If I am ever in the Glendale area for any event, I will for sure go there to get all dolled up! read more

The best beauty salon in Burbank because of the quality color and cut AND the impeccable customer service. Arax the owner is simply kind, sweet and professional- everything you want in a business owner. She answered my Yelp request for a consultation in less than 5 mins and quickly scheduled my cut and color with Renia. On the same day I schedule my hair appointment, I was able to schedule a same day appointment for a haircut for my daughter. Arpi got me an appointment with Araksy and both of them were so sweet. Araksy is exceptional with my daughter's cut and style AND she is darling with kids. She is so skilled at what she does. My daughter and I were so pleased at her new curtain bangs, cut and styling. Araksy even added rhinestones to my daughter's hair, how cute is that ? Huge props to Renia ( Renia_beauty on IG) who did a phenomenal job on my color with highlights and layered cut and style. Renia consulted with me and was so gentle and skilled. She gave me exactly what I envisioned and she was just absolutely kind and so talented. The salon is stylish, clean , has a parking lot and uses Oribe hair products, which I love. Once again, I can't say enough about the receptiveness of Arax, the owner. Absolutely wonderful business!!! I highly recommend Glamourax. My hair was an absolute mess b4 Glamourax!! I had 4 appointments before my wedding day. 1st appointment was a cut and color correction. 2nd was a bridal consult. 3rd was a cut for my 16 year old daughter. And my fourth appointment was for extensions. On my wedding day Glamourax came to my house (with Starbucks drinks and breakfast for all of us girls) and did my hair along with my bridal party and my mother. They also did our make-up. After meeting Arax and getting to know her work on Instagram. I started getting ants for a new look and thankfully the girls at glamourax were able to get me an appointment right before Christmas. Such an amazing environment, the girls were so lovely! they all greeted me with smiles and offered delicious coffee. the hospitality and service was incredible, I felt so comfortable in my chair and totally trusted them with my wild curly hair. They worked their magic from adding the highlights to the scalp massage to the stunning blow out I was truly blown away! Very friendly and easy to book. I came in for a quick blowout/styling for my boyfriend's premier event. I fell in love with Arax immediately, and you will too. I ended up running out of time for a full blowout/styling- so they had FOUR beautiful women working on my hair at once like the pit at NASCAR. Absolutely loved my experience at the salon. This place is the definition of professional and fun where you feel at ease and relaxed during the whole process. I scheduled my appointment with Wendy through Arax and a cut with Arax. Wendy took her time with making sure she's very detailed and observant with my curles for the balayage she did for my hair. This is why it tolma. Little longer but I rather spend more time at the salon than have to keep making appointments for hair corrections later. I love my cut. My hair feels lighter and healthier despite just getting bleached. Will definitely be returning. They also had products available for hair masks and hair care! After being traumatized at previous salons I decided to give Glamourax a try and I was not disappointed. SONNA was my stylist and she made me feel comfortable and welcomed at the salon. She truly listened to what I asked for and checked in every time before cutting to make sure we were on the same page. Sonna is the sweetest - a true gem! I asked for a V Shape with long layers and curtain bangs to hide my postpartum balding hairline. The cut included a wash, mask treatment, cut and blow dry. You get what you pay for! :) My hair is still long which is what I wanted and everyone is complementing how healthy and great it looks! I originally inquired through Arax (the owner) and she was so lovely to check in on me before and after my appointment. A wonderful owner who care for her clients. Let me start by saying that the service that I received was 100/100. Araxi_glams was super gentle on my hair, never pulled my hair in any way. Everybody that works there are amazing. I definitely recommend! I'm a travel Nurse and never had time for myself until after my contract ended. I had bad split ends, hair always knotted & definitely colors in my hair. My hair transformation is the best thing that I could've done . If I can go back I would re do this whole process. And let me not forget that they also offer you snacks and drinks. I love this place so much! I definitely recommend this place to all the ladies that need service in they're hair. If you are just as picky as I am when it comes to your hair, this place is PERFECT FOR YOU. I got my hair done a little over three weeks ago by Evelyn, and let me tell you, this woman is AMAZING. I was super hesitant at first going in the salon, since it was my first time in years getting my hair professionally colored. Evelyns Instagram is filled with beautiful transformations, so that really drew me to make an appointment. What I loved about this place, was that you felt right at home. Everyone was super friendly and they actually care about what you want. What I appreciate the most is the integrity of everyone there. They are 100% honest about what they do and are not afraid to say no if they know that it is not good for you in the long run. I went in not even knowing what I wanted and some how Evelyn transformed my hair into something beautiful. She cut my hair into beautiful layers and corrected the orange mess that I called HAIR. Overall it's been a few weeks in and my hair is still as gorgeous as ever. I cannot stop obsessing over it. Since then I have been sending everyone I know to Glamourax. My experience at Glamourax was absolutely great. I literally came in and left happier than ever. Arax is an amazing person and expert in her job. She did my haircut and it is literally the best haircut I ever had. Wendy did my color, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted. And Arpi did an absolutely awesome blowout that lasted for days. BEST EXPERIENCE- AMAZING STAFF! I can't recommend this salon enough. Firstly, Arax is just the sweetest, kind and honest- it's a pleasure working with her. Took the time to listen and really is a master at her craft. Everyone had so much knowledge about hair, I was just so impressed. Tamar did an AMAZING job with my highlight placement and she knows her stuff- she is just beyond! She took her time, was so detailed oriented and she was just the sweetest person! I really enjoyed having my hair done by her! I also just have to mention this salon design was really thought out- you can tell she only chose the best of the best- in products, design, chair- it's a dream. I can't wait to visit soon! This place is the best! Arax & Evelyn do an AMAZING job. I never tell them what to do and they magically transform my hair into something beautiful every time. Everyone in this store is basically family and is super funny. I first went to Arax when I was in high school and Evelyn was just starting as her assistant. Now, Evelyn is an amazing hair stylist and is one of the best!! She is also always super entertaining and caring at the same time! So glad I found this salon and Arax & Evelyn. EVERYONE here is amazing at cut, color, and styling. I don't dye my hair, so this (long overdue) review is for Arpi's Blowouts!! Every time I go for a blowout, I make sure to make my next two appointments as well. 1) I have super long, THICK hair and she manages it like a PRO. 2) I have a very sensitive scalp. The shampoo/rinse felt like a full head massage! 3) I normally wash my hair prior to appointments at other salons because I feel like no one really washes my hair and scalp the way I do. Well, ARPI DOES. She gets in there. She does a Double wash and gets to every part of my head and behind my ears too. 4) She's also very quick (but not rushed) which I always appreciate because I am a working mother of two and I like to be in and out! I have never had to wait. The appointment time I'm given , is the appointment I get seated. The salon has been recently remodeled and feels like a breath of fresh air. No clutter, no mess, no obnoxious decor. love the foot rests in front of the shampoo and styling stations so I can stretch my legs out and relax. Don't think twice, book her! read more

I've always avoided maintaining healthy trims because of constantly ending up with so many inches of my hair being chopped off. I also have naturally curly hair so I'd stay away from cutting my hair in layers to avoid looking like a poodle later. However, with Arax, this wasn't the case. She cut my hair in layers and I can still leave my hair naturally curly and it looks fine! I loved how friendly the environment of the salon was, and they actually have comfortable sinks for you to rest your head in while they wash your hair and your neck doesn't feel like it's about to fall off. read more
