The price of a cut has escalated over the years as well so I was surprised when quite a fussy friend of mine raved abut this joint. I brought my mop and scepticism along and fell in love, why? Not the cheap price, the friendly staff, the current magazines or the lack of snobbery. These things all helped but The Academy has the one thing many Irish barbers don't. THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED THEM! I had asked for something quite experimental as well and it was done without a second look or a sneer. I have a new regular barber now. It's been a while. It all depends on who you get though, and like with anything else too it depends on what kind of a day they're having. Most of the times I've come here were fine I will admit but once or twice my hair was completely butchered and I had to go elsewhere to get it sorted. It's just staff completely disinterested in their job I guess. Maybe after these few years it's time to unfortunately find a new barbers.

Anyway - the guys that work here are all friendly and they all get along extremely well with each other and their customers. It is always very clean and well maintained, with two TVs tuned to SkySports. I'm sure there's other barbers that are pretty good in the town - but since I started coming here I've never felt compelled to go elsewhere. I usually go to Rob, he's a good dude and is quick with the shears. Always has a story and laugh so it makes a trip to Rory's a good little visit instead of a chore for a mundane task like a haircut. No complaints here, can only encourage you to give Rory's Barbers a go.

I really like this barbers…read more.. I commute to work in Kilcock and have tried all the barbers over the past year. New Lane barbers is definitely the best one. In fact I used to get my hair cut in Dublin and they always cut off way too much. So now I wait until I'm in work in Kilcock to get it cut. The lady here listens to what you want and my hair always comes out looking great. She is also very funny and friendly and is always giggling and is very sweet If your looking for a barber who is friendly and skilled at her job then you should try out New Lane Barbers. I said no I always and they know go to Suzie..The lack of interest in client care over the phone and rearly a nice greeting on arrival. Place us not great at all. Ciara is a lovely girl..Asked what happened was told 2 names beside each other I got wrong person. What really happened was when making my appointment the person was talking to someone else putting me on hold and complaining how a woman walked in rolled her eyes and walked out.
