Staff were nice. However, the top coat applied to my OPI Lincoln Park After Dark make the outer perimeter of the nail appear eggplant purple as opposed to purple black. Also, my nails starting chipping first within 5 days of the gel manicure and by day 10 parts of my manicure lifted off my nail. I paid 60-65 dollars for this to chip so early with zero longevity. Idk what happened to nail salons after Covid; there is no staying power to gel manicures anymore -- it's so expensive and basically operates the same as a regular polish. read more

I made the appointment for color gel nails for the Richmond location on labor day and mistakenly went to the Victory Blvd location.. the front desk lady was accommodating when I asked her if I could get it done in this location. She told me it would be 10-15 mins wait, which I don't mind. Upon seated on the waiting area, she brought the nail sample booklets for me to pick my choices of nail colors. It was my first time going to a nail salon to get nails done and I did not know what to expect. My nail tech was Elaine. She buffed, filed and shaped my nails (she asked what kind of nail shape I wanted before shaping my nails). In the end I picked out 2 nail colors (and if I wanted to pick additional colors, that will be extra charge) and the process was smooth. I really like how nails turned out! I asked her to file them down just a slight she files them down SOO much it looked ridiculous. I said kindly I'm sorry but it's too short now,( I know how I sound and I know I'm being that annoying customer) so I apologized several times I even offered to pay extra to just fix it and add extension she said no I'm not doing your nails you can talk to the front desk (mind you I have a whole other hand that has long nails and one hand that has short) so I'm like how about my nails? Who is going to finish she goes idc don't ask me you can ask the front I'm not doing it. I spoke to the front lady explained the situation she said let me try to talk to her she continued to refuse then the front desk told me no one else is available I said okay but I need these nails off or something I can't leave like this. She said you have to wait 20 minutes for someone to take them off I waited. Then she said Sophie will remove them for me. I just agreed because I needed to leave that place I felt very uncomfortable. She spent 25 minutes or so removing all my nails when she could've have spent that same time to just fix my one hand. I loved this place until today. I brought three friends with me to this location, I usually go to Richmond Avenue, but they were too busy there. We all drove there in one car and arrived 15 min late and the lady at the receptionist gave us a huge attitude saying that we're all late...well we all came in the same car so yes we were late at the same time. I've been late once at the richmond avenue location for about 20 minutes and they just got me started as soon as I got there. Then the lady at the front desk gives us some more attitude and goes "the system is so messy, none of your friends left their numbers just a name, I have to input each of them" well...when I called to book at richmond they only asked me for my friends name so it's their own problem their system is messy. Plus, why does it matter if my friends are inputted into their system if they dont even want to go back there anymore after all this fuss being made. Our mani/pedi experience was okay, I just didnt really like the design I ended up having on my nails. The daisy looks like a white spider to me. In the end when we're paying at the front desk, they lady made us all pay separately even though one of my friend had cash and was going to pay for all of us. The lady made my friend pay for each one of us separately because she said "you're paying in cash so there is a 10%" which is not a good explanation for why we should pay separately if one person had the cash because 10% off the total or 10% off each one of our services IT'LL END UP BEING THE SAME PRICEEE!! Decided to give this location a shot because of how I was previously treated at the Richmond Ave location- but this turned out to be worse. My experience was okay, but my mother's was one from hell. The nail technician not only cut her twice and burned her with the electric nail filer, but when my mother complained about her to management- the technician proceeded to get nasty with my mother. Management did not reprimand for their employee back talking to a customer. She was then given another technician to do her nails. This technician decided to leave her old powder gel color on and not completely file it off. Now my mother had old purple gel color under her new blue color, which was bleeding through at first. Her nails were horribly misshapen and uneven. Not only did management not apologize to my other or try to make things right- the manager proceeded to tell me (my mother had stormed to the car after her service) that my mother shouldn't get so upset and to calm down. It was easy to make the appointment. The receptionist was very pleasant on the phone. My appointments for a dip powder manicure and standard pedicure were confirmed separately by text message. When I arrived, the manicurist was ready for me. She took the time to ask how I'd like my nails cut and shaped, and she helped me to select a color. She did an excellent job. She escorted me to the pedicure chair, where the pedicure tech took over. She was also very professional and did a great job. The whole appointment lasted about 90 minutes. I've been to this salon numerous times. The first few times i was there I had almond shape lcn nails. I got them shortened each time because my nails grow really fast and always paid cash so it was $52 plus 10% discount for paying cash which was roughly $47. Last visit was the first time I went to Yoyo and the first time I chose to do coffin shape. She told me theres a reshaping fee since im going from almond shape to coffin. Okay sure, I guess thats more work so thats fair. Today I got coffin again and only at the end learned i was getting charged for reshaping AGAIN. why? because she had to CUT MY NAIL. This is the first salon I've ever heard cutting your nail being a reason to charge you for reshaping when youre getting the same shape. Not only does she not clean up your cuticle (after last time i cleaned up my own prior to this appt) but now cutting your nail comes with an extra charge. So what do I pay the other 50 bucks for?? No thanks. Not even about the money, its an extra 5 bucks, not a big deal but I there is absolutely zero logic involved and I dont enjoy feeling like im being swindled or misled so I'll be on my way to finding a new salon. The receptionist told me its on the flyer...couldnt find it online anywhere and its no where to be found on the vagaro app they use to make appts. Iv been to this location a few times because it does have more availability & better parking ( only reason why I gave it 1 star) their employee who I believe was named " Susan" needs to really work on her service skills. I only came in for a gel mani, so I was sat down with the nail books to pick a color.. now I understood time is limited as there are other appointments, but I felt really rushed when choosing a color. I just wanted some damn time to make sure I wouldn't regret which color I'd pick, and Susan had NO problem showing she was annoyed by this. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable & unwelcomed. Not only did Susan make disgruntled noises with her mouth to show she was annoyed by me, but she also showed this through body language and just facial expression. I am PAYING for this service, so you bet your ass I'm gonna take my time choosing the right color for me. There was no reason for her to behave the way she did. The nail Job was honestly mediocre. And oh, none of the employees do this with me at the Richmond salon, but when it's time to pay, Susan is right there at the front desk, waiting for you to tip her. I just made the move from the south shore of SI to the North Shore or whatever the area by Victory is called. I wanted to try a new salon and heard all the hype about glamour nails. I chose the Victory location and was not at all impressed. The layout is cute. The interior design is chic. Front desk girl was nice. My tech was Leo and he was very friendly and accommodating. He asked me how I liked the shape and helped shape my nails to not look as curved. Those were all the positives. Now here are the cons: the pedicure chairs do not have jets! But why? I look forward to massage chairs and bubbly feet. The water was cold by the end of the 18 minute pedicure. That's right. I timed it. According to the staff, the other location seems to have jets. My tech was also extremely friendly. I think her name was Kelly but I really liked her a lot. They use a timer for the massage! Come on!!!!!!There was not one person getting a pedicure other than me. If I wanted a 1 minute massage I wouldn't want to pay the exorbitant price. I even overheard one other worker talking about how much more expensive this salon is compared to their sister salon on Richmond Ave. 50 bucks for a fill in is ridiculous even for light concept or whatever the pink gel crap is. Btw, one day later and my pedicure is chipped! Avoid like the plague. I feel bad for cheating on my amazing nail salon. I will never return! EVER! 9 times out of 10 I have an excellent experience. Everyone has their days which is why I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars. No business is perfect all the time. I'm very surprised to read people write that there are times when technicians demand tips. Never have I had that done to me. They employees are always polite and courteous. The receptionists manage to accommodate me even when I forget to make an appointment. And should I ever be unsatisfied they do all they can to make up for it WITHOUT charging me. They even have a point system. I don't understand how everyone can be so mean and say all these mean things and try to take away service over ONE small incident. Have you never had a bad day? Did a walk-in for a mani-pedi on Sunday afternoon. This was my second visit, first time was with friends for a manicure a few months ago. This is a very nice salon - clean, great decor, good background music playing. Prices are great - $31 for a mani-pedi. Staff are quiet but seem very competent. I usually go to the richmond Ave location, but they were full so was sent here on a Saturday morning (this is overdue review). I had nexgen powder in and was getting nexgen french. Usually the ladies soak my nails to take off the old nexgen, but the lady who did my nails decided to pry/cut it off with a cuticle cutter. She took pieces off at a time and a few even landed on my face. Afterwards when she used the buffing tool, she managed to cut my finger too. The manicure looked great and lasted almost 3 weeks but the steps to get there weren't good. I have to say the Richmond Ave location is much better, probably won't be back to this location anytime soon. read more

Came here for my birthday because I wanted to enjoy a nice gel manicure and pedi. & I always love the design I see on there Instagram. So I figured it would be a perfect spot. Well I was HIGHLY MISTAKEN. First will start off by the fact I usually like to get my toes done first before I sit and get my gel mani because I could dry my toes before I have to get back in my car to drive. Again the design came out beautiful and they already were great to me for letting me get my toes done despite my color incident. I'm a big tipper to begin with. I pay for what I get and I have no problem with it that's why I work. So once the lady who had finished my nails was done. I had to go get change because I only had large bills on me. So as I went to go to the front desk she goes. Tip ? And gives me a look ? And then says tip for her to pointing to the lady who had done my toes. And I was just still so confused because I barely got a inch off the chair before she demanded a tip. Long story short. The lady who did my nails got 20 plus 10 for the lady who did my toes. I got the powder nails on my fingers that are supposed to not chip for 3 weeks and they chipped 2 days later!!! The pedicure was just horrible. The nails were also super thick and a little uneven. The woman was hurting and manhandling my feet and i asked her a few times to please go easier on me and she just ignored me. The massage part of the pedicure was about a minute at most, something i always look forward to. My toes smudged the same day despite sitting under the dryer forever. Finally, when i went to pay and they asked cash or credit i asked if there was a difference. They said no so i paid credit. My friend i was with paid cash and it turns out there was a difference for cash- she paid less for the same exact thing!! So they flat out lied. My nail girl Gigi did a gorgeous job on my nails, coffin shape, beautiful design but cost a pretty penny after adding crystals and ombré. After hearing amazing reviews about the quality of the service, along with the reasonable prices, I was excited to try out Glamour Nails after being a loyal customer to another salon. The location itself is beautiful, definitely has the ambiance of a high-end salon. There are many nail colors to choose from, which is always a plus. My only concern was a lack of a pricing list somewhere visible for potential customers. However, I was insanely disappointed with both the service and the attitudes of the employees. The woman who serviced me did not even bother to sit down while she worked on my nails. It seemed extremely rushed, she refused my request (before she cut them) for a longer set of tips as well. Working in customer service myself, I know how important it is to make a paying customer feel valued and welcomed. I was treated like an annoyance. I would try to be understanding if my requests were high-maintenance, yet I was only getting a full set of tips for myself along with a pedicure for my younger sister. My sister and I are of different races, which raised a lot of questions among the staff- which I normally have no issues answering. Yet, it seems as if they almost scoffed at us. While my nails were drying, I was "treated" to a two second back massage that felt more like I was being beat up on. I would've rather that been left out all together if it was going to be painful. My biggest issue was that this experience totaled to 80 dollars. I nearly fell to the floor when I heard that. 80 dollars for terrible customer service and a mediocre nail job. I will stick to my regular nail place (Top Secret Nails). They do a MUCH better job for less than half the price, and they are all extremely friendly and welcoming. To start off, I started coming here about 2 months ago after my old nail salon was not meeting my expectations anymore, i,e. Laziness, nasty, too comfortable, etc. To which I then found Glamour nails. I had a great experience my first visit. My next few visits, I started experiencing some issues. I went to Deana and I like to have a particular shape to my nails, but I guess after politely asking her to fix them a few time it made her feel "uncomfortable". I chose a color for a GEL manicure and the polish for the toe was completely DIFFERENT and was so mucher lighter (pink) than the gel polish. I expressed how I did not like it and wanted to change it where I paid for a gel manicure TWICE without complaining. The manager expressed how it "wasn't her problem" that the colors did not match. It is your problem when your product doesn't match and customers are put in a situation where they cannot change the color after just getting gel on their nails ACTUALLY. The owners and managers are nasty and not accommodating (they can only fix what the customer is not happy with instead of taking at least a percentage off of the price, you know for their colors not matching) especially with appointments. Always booked, which is a joke. Last visit, I was forced to have someone else do my nails (Nikki) since again everyone was booked and she did a completely terrible job. Rushed the whole time, nails were not evenly cut, and the sides of my nails were not even polished evenly. Finally three weeks later, I had an appointment booked with my original girl Deana and I receive a phone call three days prior to my appointment as well as an hour before the salon closing telling me that they will not be able to service me anymore because "they feel that their technicians are not good enough for the shape of nail and job that I expect". WHAT?I've been going to my old salon for six years and I was never disrespected like that. As a nailist, it is your job to meet the customers expectations and making sure that they are satisfied. If not, it is a failure on the business. The manager explained how Deana did not feel comfortable doing my nails anymore when she was nice to me the whole time and never had words. I guess she feels uncomfortable to do her job. She even asked me multiple times throughout my appointments if my nails were okay. She also told me to tell them I need an hour when booking appointments, when another issue was that "it takes up double the time". Well Deana, i'm not the one doing my nails. And after doing them a few times and having a picture and showing her multiple pictures of the shape, she should be able to execute that in an hour time frame. Not only is this place more expensive than most, I would expect to receive excellent service for the price I am paying. Also, whenever I was on time for my appointments I would have to wait. Another time, she was running behind and waited almost a half hour for her .Not only was it rude and offending to call me up three weeks later and three days before my appointment to tell me that my appointments will be canceled is a disgrace. I am truly disappointed. And no one should ever feel what these people have made me feel like. If you're going to make Instagram and post about these beautiful nails that you claim to do so beautifully then you need to make sure that happens in your salon every day the business is open. Try glamour on victory after hearing so much great reviews for the first time. Got a regular mani and pedi Prices are reasonable. It been over a week and my polish still looks good with no chip. Also they do have great polishs selection, I also heard they do nexgen (gel powder) which I will definitely try it next time. read more

They do a good job for time to time for a reasonable price. However, $50 for a designs both hands (marble,ombre,etc) is absolutely insane. It doesn't even included fill-in with colorgel (which is $52). So basically over $100. I get it if it would be designs for both hands would be $20-30 not $50. Even in manhattan or brooklyn, they never this much. Starting to look for another nail place that doesn't over charge. read more

I'm a big fan of glamour nails on Richmond ave, so when they opened a new location on victory I had to check it out. It's a lot closer to my house so it's very convenient. There is plenty of parking and it's off of a less congested street. The new location is a lot more spacious than the Richmond ave one , which is a plus ! Very clean and a ton of nail polish choices. The staff is just as friendly and helpful. read more
